Idk if you’ve heard there’s this romance coming out in August called Love in the Time of Serial Killers and it’s about a girl who’s obsessed with true crime podcasts and it looks sooooo cute 💕👀
I received an ARC of Love In the Time of Serial Killers and was excited to read it because of the title, the blurb, and the beautiful cover. But I am not even joking when I saw that was one of the WORSE books I have ever read.
The wonderful book recs aside, the aesthetics of this video is SO spectacular. The green and pink t-shirt, the sunlight chain, the tattoos (omg I love them so much), the sparkle of the earrings and. the. hair. Your hair looks beautiful. It all has come together so well ❤
I am so excited for Book Lover's, Emily Henry is so consistent with her romances. Even more so, it releases on my birthday, so...birthday plans settled? I think yes
Have been trying a lot of romances lately and haven't been feeling them as much I use to, but I want to 😭 I want to have that fluffy and cozy feeling again 🙃
I just finished Seven Days in June last night and re-watched your wrap up where you talk about it this morning…so I totally manifested this video today 💖
For February I read Just Haven't Met You Yet, The Dating Playbook, and Weather Girl. I just started The Singles Table, and I also just picked up Talk Bookish to Me!
I'm in the mood for very cute and cozy small town romances, if they involve antique shops or farmers markets that is the best. very cheesy I know but that's what my heart needs right now 😅
i humbly have to recommend Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon!! i'm notorious for hating romance but i literally read this in 24 hours and could not stop smiling the whole time :) the protagonist has depression and is very open (at least as a narrator) with how it affects her love life which i've never really seen before
oh, if you're looking for a similar trope with the impact of depression on one's love life, perhaps you should read "everyone in this room will someday be dead" by emily austin. it is not a romance book per se, but there is a lot of that element. and well, the main character is gay.
I was so excited to see Book Lovers on this list! One of my most anticipated reads of this year, I’m not a huge romance reader but Emily Henry has SUCKED me in and I’m so excited for this book to come out.
I have so many romances on my tbr this year. Excluding the ones you mentioned, I’m super excited for: A Brush With Love - Mazey Eddings (3/1) Hook, Line, and Sinker - Tessa Bailey (3/1) Mr. Wrong Number - Lynn Painter (3/1) By The Book - Jasmine Guillory (5/3) Set On You - Amy Lea (5/10) The American Roommate Experiment - Elena Armas (8/18) Love On The Brain - Ali Hazelwood (8/23) It Starts With Us - Colleen Hoover (10/18)
I am just getting back into romance as a genre… and just received Lucky Leap Day, and One Night on the Island. I also want to read The Love Hypothesis!!!
I have Meet Me in the Margins on hold request at my library, waiting for it to be acquired. I am one of the few people who did not like Beach Read very much, but I did like People We Meet on Vacation quite a bit, so I'm hesitant on Emily Henry in general. Lots of great recs in this video -- just added a bunch to my TBR.
I was having really bad anxiety this evening and just seeing there are two new videos from you has really calmed me down- you are so funny and friendly and cosy - love you! X
You’re the reason I started reading romances and your recommendations have not missed yet! I’ve read the Kiss Quotient series late last year, and the Hating Game, Love Hypothesis, and The Brown Sisters series all this year, although I’m still working on Eve Brown. Thank you so much, and I love your channel!
Love you Noelle!! I was just thinking of how much I love your videos and was going to go check to make sure I hadn’t missed a new video!!! Love your book recommendations, I’ve read some great books thanks to you!!! Cheers to some 🔥🔥🥵🥵 books!
OMG i have been waiting for you to upload. I might be late to the water themed books you were into last summer but hear me out! I wanted to recommend you Moti on the Water. It's got great romance, family dynamics, island hopping, and food! It's a book from 2019 but I read it last year knowing next to nothing beforehand but it has become my fave book ever! Hope you get around to reading it ❤
I really want you to read ''The Spanish love deception" by Elena Armas because in you previous videos you have mentioned you loved The hating games. Please read it!!! You won't regret it.
I rewatch your old videos when I can't fall asleep at night, and I've noticed that your Where to Start with King and King Books I Want to Read in [insert year here] were taken down. Did you and he have a falling out? I was really looking forward to more King-centered reading vlogs from you! Your hair looks gorgeous here, btw. And I love the shade of that shirt!💚
as a general rule, i'm not really a romance reader BUT i read one last stop by casey mcquiston last year and it has rocketed to the top of my comfort books list - sweet, mysterious & steamy but without any weird man parts (love love love !)
Spoiler Alert, Delilah Green Doesn’t Care, Charm Offensive, Written in the Stars. The Brown sisters, Marriage Game series. So excited to read Book Lovers have already pre ordered it. Honestly there’s so many more I need to read this year. Audiobooks will be a life saver
Listening to you talk about romances is my other therapy 😍 I’ve discovered so many incredible books through your videos and I credit you with making me fall in love with reading again. Only criticism though - ‘the Queen of England’ is like saying ‘the President of DC’.
I’m always reading romances, right now I have two in my hand. Last Night At The Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo Talk Bookish to Me by Kate Bromley I’m reading these before I have to focus on assigned school work for college.
Ok but the romance as mental health help is no joke tho. I just read my first romance novel, People We Meet on Vacation, and god did it make me think about life and love. It was so good 😭😭I gotta read more romance, and all these sound so good!
The only romance I've read recently is Instructions for Dancing and it was really cute, but also had some depth to the story. I think it handled some difficult topics in a very mature way. But I also had mixed feelings about the twist/ending.
One of my reading goals this year is to get out of my comfort zone. I almost never read romances, but they're on my list this tear, so this video could not have come at a more perfect time!
I've also been looking forward to Book Lovers. In addition, I'm looking forward to The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas who wrote The Spanish Love Deception. Also Katherine Center's The Bodyguard, Set on You by Amy Lea, A New York Minute by Kate Spencer, Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon, and The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa are all on my list for the year.
I’m not sure when this one released, but this one I’ve found that I’m desperately wanting to read is called Cattle Stop by Kit Oliver. It’s gay rom com, enemies to lovers, set on a dairy farm….at least that’s the impression I got from reading the synopsis on Amazon😂😂
I 'm finally gonna read The Hating Game and I've had it for so long but just procrastinated reading it. Knowing the movie is coming out makes me wanna compare so I can't wait to read!!!
I loved this video!! There’s so many romances I hadn’t heard of and added to my tbr! So thank you💚💖 also you look stunning in this video and the thumbnail is gorgeous!! I hope you do another video like this with other books you’re excited for in 2022
I'm currently reading Wash Up by Kandi Steiner...I ABSOLUTELY ❤️ + ADORE THIS BOOK..It's a slowburn BUT I ❤️ IT THROUGH & THROUGH🙂🙂🙂❤️❤️ .. Thank you Noelle for this video, coz Fake It Till you Bake it looks interesting❤️🙂🙂
I have Neon Gods and The Ex Hex (I love the spooky vibes all year around) on the top of my list. I really want to read some more historical romance aswell, I fell in love with Tessa Dare last year!
Hi Noelle - I just wanted to say I miss watching your videos on BookTube - Hoping you return back to us - Loved your channel, content, humor and wit. Miss Ya', Girl!
oh my god thank you for so many recommendations noelle! i've been in the mood to read romance lately but have been struggling to find any books that pique my interest but now i've added quite a few to my tbr!! thank you, as always, for such a calming and enjoyable video :)) love u
One I'm super excited to get my hands on that comes out this summer and wasn't mentioned in this amazing video is The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston. But now my tbr will explode with all of these seemingly cute titles! At least my mental health will hopefully get better, the romance genre truly is therapy. Lol Ooh, also, my favorite romance that i read last year is probably a tie between Take A Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert and If The Shoe Fits by Julie Murphy.
Based on your love of reading about writing, authors, and publishing in romance novels (I share the same love!) I think you would love The Roughest Draft by Emily Wibberly and Austin Seigemund-Broka. They are best-selling co-authors with *history* that are reuniting to write another romance novel. SO MUCH tension and spite and pettiness and a happy ending.
I read a handful of romances over time in life but when 2022 started, it felt like a good way to keep up my habit of reading to have lighthearted and enjoyable reads and now I’m kind of addicted!! I started with Beach Read, then People we Meet on Vacation. Then the Brown sisters trilogy & now I’m reading Song of Achilles. I have more on my list but I’m so happy I have really given the genre another go!
I know you don’t read fantasy… I know. Buuuut. I wish you’d give Sarah J Maas a chance. Either a Court of Thorns or Throne of Glass. I’m curious to know if that would open a little door for you to the world of romantic fantasy. ✨ ❤️ ✨
i just got my kindle preorder of delilah green doesn't care yesterday and i am SO! EXCITED! to get to it. i am currently reading another romance (the lady's guide to celestial mechanics) so i'll finish this and then read delilah green 💘 i am also super excited for the wedding crasher by mia sosa, which is out in may
Hi Noelle, have you read any of the Winston brother romances? The first book is Truth or Beard and the series is really fun and steamy and funny and different for us Bay Area folks as it takes place in the South. Highly recommend! And try to get to book 3 with Cletus and Jenn... super good!
written on the body!!!! oh my goodness - or anything at all by jeanette winterson - but specifically Written On the Body!!! i’d love to hear your thoughts!
I actually have a slight problem with romance genre. I'm in a relationship currently and I can't start any romance book, you know why? Because I am scared that I will fall in love with one of the characters... or their tension will make me think that we don't have that spark anymore.. Shit, now that I hear myself saying that ... it is so stupid
Help please. Can anybody recall the name of Noelles favourite audiobook Narrator? I think it’s julianne something but not sure. Also that mug is something I need in my life and this last year is my first year actively choosing to read more and my go to genre is romance and I think it’s actually made me happier? Somehow? I’d be interested to see if there’s a study of prescribing romances to people and see whether they start noticing the small beauties in life?
