Yes, that was definitely Eve rapping. It was a Philly thing. The Roots and Eve are from Philly. Although Erykah Badu is singing the hook, Jill Scott actually wrote it. Jill is also from Philly. Erykah is from Texas. A great song from the Legendary Roots crew to check out is a song called "The Next Movement"
