@@Messerschmitt_BF_109G_10 You do realize "anime plot" isn't a negative thing right? Also, there are literally millions of anime depending on your definition, so how can you possibly say with confidence that it _isn't_ an anime plot? What I'm saying is, Ace Combat games typically infuse the regular arcade gameplay with a bit of drama and they really like to tell a larger story about the nations and the politics of the war - not unlike a lot of good anime... Flight sims, typically just skip that entirely and just give a basic setup to the conflict before throwing you into the pilot's seat, which is fine because the focus on those games is operating the machines, while the focus in Ace Combat is on the story and having fun. Also, Ace Combat 4's narrative was literally told in the form of an anime... so, there's that.
Thomas John Solidum agreed. Whenever I see someone comparing the two I’m like “STOP TRYING TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE THESE ARE COMPETITORS!” It’s just really nice to see the two fanbases intersect. The story of Ace Combat mixed with the realism of DCS is something to behold.
@@lucasurquiza554 Yeah really. Its like comparing Call of Duty with Red Orchestra. I love both games but they are two very different types of military shooters.
Someone has to make an AC campaign for DCS or then create a game of their own due to the limitations of DCS (it doesn't have the giant beam towers, enormous spacecrafts and nukes for what I know).
B7R... The Round Table... This airspace is where Rookies, Aces, Killers, Peacekeepers, and all sorts of pilots, came with equal footing, their own planes and their own skill... With the ULTIMATE rule of engagement in mind.. *SURVIVE...*
Broreale the 90s were clearly a time of: ”what happens now since the Soviet Union collapsed?” Answer: “Fights covered in black jet fuel instead of ink”
5:19 Damn, this is easily the best part for me. That dodge with the barrel roll and Grun team overshooting Cipher. Then switching the focus to the afterburners and the rapidly rising altimeter with the song reaching crescendo. That gave me goosebumps.
I'll never stop being amazed by your work. The amount of effort put into them is just amazing, and I couldn't help but tear up once "Zero" started playing.
This absolutely captures the what makes Ace Combat so special. Yeah, it's about giant jet engine noises and missile alerts, but it's the emotion of the games, the drama, that sets them apart. I can't like this video enough.
You did a fantastic job Nassault, this really brought me back to the good old PS2 days of Ace Combat. It may not be a realistic flight sim, but it made me and millions of others interested in aircraft as a whole, and as a kid taught me that in war, nobody wins but the rich.
I used to play Arma alot and had my own servers on Arma 2 and Arma 3 and had made a Ace Combat mod for them. Shit was dope, wish I still had it, pretty much everyone would spawn on opposite airstrips and there would be a bunch of different aircraft to choose, then the two or three teams would fight for control of different areas of the map. Each area you control would give you access to different types of aircraft which would then spawn at your base or would give you things like fuel trucks, rearm trucks, and repair trucks. If you got shot down and survived there would be anti air vehicles and static gun turrets. There were also random spawning Ai aircraft and ground vehicles inside the combat zones. On top of that I would play ace combat music over the global admin comms.
This video has put a tear in my eye. Amazing how i still play ac 4, 5, and zero. By far some of the best worldbuilding and plot lines in any game series. Thank u for this, its simply breathtaking
The DCS elitists really need to chill, you don’t need hyper-realistic simulated flight to have fun, thats the difference, DCS is a simulator, Ace Combat is a GAME, for FUN, the wacky physics are ON PURPOSE
absolutely incredible! I can't even begin to imagine all the time and effort required to put that together. Really brought me back to my days playing ace combat. Awesome video.
To me ace combat zero captured my imagination when i first played it as 12 years old. I was already then interested in its lore and characters, even though i didnt speak english back then, not very well at least. Especially the grün squadron has stayed in my memories, somehow thr hornets camo and introduction made a lasting impact back then. Now i play war thunder and i still role play myself as a belkan pilot, i place triangle "stickers" on top of aircrafts irl national markings so with a glance it looks like belkan air force triangle. There is something magical about this game
This video is unbelievable, it instantly threw me back into the Belkan War feeling and its aura of achieving the impossible. Goosebumps assured, amazing work man! I really hope Ace Combat 7 will live up to its hype and become another legend among games.
Ohhhhhh, the nostalgia of B7R and Grun/Schwartz teams, every time i watch something of yours, I get shivers, the editing, the music, everything combing to make themselves a perfect masterpiece, this is nothing less than that Clear skies Nassault!
Even though I haven’t played ace combat or dcs these are just inspirational!! It’s no surprise that ace combat fans are drawing parallels to The Ghost of Keiv, Godspeed that pilot!!
Every time I come watch this video I can't help to see it as a love letter to Ace Combat Zero, keep doing what you do man, your videos give me hope for a remaster one day.
I miss the intro from the old B7R vid but WOW the action sequences in this were astounding, I'm so glad you published the complete version! You won my sub sir.
You have earned a sub and a like my good fellow, I commend and appreciate your work which allowed me to enjoy my childhood memories in such a pristine and amazingly thorough cinematic! I, as much as many others, look forward to you content; well done.
That slow motion scene is perfect. That is the best scene of a game I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing it and hopefully you will continue your great work.
As a big ace combat fan especially AC Zero this was such a treat. I haven't checked on ace combat stuff in a while and this was like a no fap guy finally getting to get one off after a year. Amazing stuff and hope to see more.
I admire the amount of professionalism you display, I my self an Ace Combat fan & can’t honestly show my true appreciation to your classy content....consider me a new fan of your Fine Arts ...😙
