Today was the first time this video ever came up on my phone and I've watched thousands of gun videos, do like I do recommend them to a friend, send them to friends and family members, that's into guns.
Thank you for the video. I run the 55 gr. in my pistol strictly for home defense. Alot of others think they need to shoot out to 200 or 300 yards to properly test a round. This is realistic in a self-defense scenario.
I have to say, I’m really starting to like the Critical Defense/Duty lineup the more I consider solid home defense/personal carry rounds across all calibers. Very nice testing. 👍🏻
This is some quality content. Really glad I stumbled across this channel. Also love that you put the Mil-Spec + colored DD pistol grip on here. This is my exact setup I’m planning on when I get my MK18 pistol.
Love these rounds, it's what I have in my 223. I'm organic gel that show stretch cavity better they create MASSIVE wound cavities and minimal but still lethal penetration
Best channel on youtube ,really amazing job without all the bs that alot of guys add . Thank you for your content, also thank you for your work in this time we are in !!!!
I bought the 55gr for my 10.5” thinking would provide more reliable expansion. After seeing this, the 73gr seems just fine. The Speer gold dot 75gr is another great affordable option as well. Always glad to see your content, thanks for sharing.
your test got me thinking about how the Critical Defense 9mm 115 grain would react in a AK-V which has about a 10.5" barrel. I wonder if it will have a bad effect since it is coming out a longer barrel than what the Critical Defense 9mm was designed for.
Great video, can you repeat testing in a 12.5"? I like how well the 73gr did with the lower velocities. Wonder how those rounds would perform at 50yds, 100yds from the shorter barrels?
I believe it would be a good idea to beg borrow or acquire a 20in - for a baseine as that is actually what the manufacturers are using for their published info. ie 3200 fps.
Firstly...OUTSTANDING video yet again. I have one question though, as I have my 10.5' AR pistol for home defense, my second biggest concern is over penetration (primary concern being eliminating the threat of course). So why would I want 16" penetration of the 73 grain versus the 12" penetration from the 55 grain? Seems I would want my round to stop inside the target or in a wall just beyond rather than continuing on to present a risk behind my target. I live in a town home and all our bedrooms are on the same floors so this is an issue. Thanks and keep the vids coming.
I have up to 50 yards because that's where I had the target/backstop. I put them on a Google Docs Sheet for you. This is the fall off average for each string, not individual shots within the strings. Obviously obtained via a LabRadar. :D docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FoPROS9FLyfjZsdFCcgyReaqqupmcPfYkBE4fU-geMg/edit?usp=sharing
New sub, great info. I don't get the static about this round on penetration. For HD it's virtually perfect. Just got a 7.5" pistol any thoughts on what the round would do in that config? Thanks
You have great info, but you don't have to tell me the same damn info in every segment...geez... Blah blah blah blah blah !!! Yup 👍, got it the 1st 47 times. Yup👍, thank you. Great content, but geez, State your thoughts at the beginning and state what actually happened at the end. Then. . . You'll be a Great Channel !!! Just leave out the blah blah blah blah blah !!!!!!!!! That's my 2 cents. . . You get what u pay for !!!
