The Royal Marines tested the capability of the gravity jet suit to support RM boarding ops. The footage speaks for itself. #jetsuit #royalmarines #shorts
I believe this was a test of the technologies potential effectiveness for quickly boarding a vessel. The soldier would unfortunately be unable to have any firearms at the ready in this application. But then again it's faster than ascending a rappel line. But those technologies now alow for the user to ascend with both hands free to maintain arms while in an indefensible position.
@@-hv4htThey are acting like it was money spent on something needless. But I am sure they would be screaming “why don’t we have this” if an army attacked the US using this. Or attacked them using this.
Still, you've got to admit that it looks absolutely crazy fun. It's applications are endless, and could include different forms of rescue, and different forms of stealth infiltration as it offers actuation, multi-directional thrust, nimbleness, agility, and speed. No one has to be being vulnerable to being shot out of the sky if adapted correctly to avoid the vulnerabilities that parachutes possess. ...😊❤😊...
So Robert Downey Jr and Jon favreau sat down with Elon musk to modernize the idea of an eccentric billionaire Elon musk has stated that he doesn't like the comparison between him and iron Man but who else in this country is going to end up creating the iron Man suit besides that guy and he'll probably just do it as a gag like the "not a flamethrower" he built
Just try to ignore the fake pictures & videos you're watching ! Do you know exactly what we're able to do with some softwares correctly used ? No !? Oh God ! Forgive him ! He doesn't know !!!
Alot of the thrust comes from the thing on the back.. the arms are mostly for maneuvering.. its prob around 50 lbs per arm full tilt.. it would be a bit of a workout, but not horrible
Mouhahahahaha !!! Excellent answer sir !! How people can believe few scenes like this !?!? With the knowledge about what we can do in matter of videos and A I. they're really to believe everything with their "first eye" (or "first view", sorry, I'm french, my english is far to be perfect...far to be 😉). Anyway, you know what I mean ! Have a nice time 🖖🏼
Apparently you don’t know that this was first performed at the first Super Bowl I think in1966 halftime. A few years before James Bond that I think lol
@@jamessveinsson6006 well I think u r right, but you must be an old man just like me because very few people know that James Bond used this apparatus in the movie “the man with the golden gun” back in the sixties. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Que impresionante ésa travesía ... realmente queda uno asombrado hasta donde ha llegado el ser humano con la tecnología ... Saludos cordiales desde la CDMX 😮😮
@@alexlang2086well yeah, but if they had auto-targeting weapons mounted to them? Maybe not. Maybe.. But then again I suppose offensive drones accompanying them would also be an option.
There are already races in these things and they fall into water all the time. Nothing really happens. The jets turn off and the guy just floats in the water until the accompanying boat picks him up.
@@keegansimpson9117 near zero chance of this being effective military hardware in ten years. The degree of miniaturisation needed whilst maintaining thrust and vector control to free the hands to utilise weapons is way out of our reach. If we get there in 50 years it would be an amazing achievement. Realistically looking at 75 or more years and that if there is consistent incremental improvement, or a major breakthrough in new technology to overcome gravity and achieve vector control.
@@keegansimpson9117 For one thing it's way too noisy, so it gives its position away even when you can't see it because of fog or smoke. And then of course there's that speed problem...it doesn't have any.
I saw it, screenshoted it and could not see a rope. I think he’s climbing using technology of sticky suction cups or something. Unbelievable stuff out on the open sea!!
@@shiondewapura3361 it’s for recon mostly, spotting enemy from above or crossing rivers….and/or they’re able to see damage on ships or bridges, or perform rescue missions, etc and report.
As this is the British military this jet suit is actually so soldiers can get back to base as quickly as possible for counselling after having something mean said to them by the enemy
This looks exactly like my dream when I was young, flying over houses… Some times with a extra flippie flap with my arms to give the take off a extra power boost 😂✨
Looks like the jet pack of my dreams since the 1960s...in my weekly reader...love the James Bond music. I'll bet those guys are having a lot of fun! They may have some commercial tourist appeal 😊
I think this should be used on commercial airlines by passengers and crew members for escape during flight crashes. All it needs is the training on how to use it.
This manouver is called the flying duck. It is a variation of the sitting duck. At least if its used in combat situatons or are they able to carry somekind of wapon system?
Downforce in this application doesn't have to touch the surface or ground to, remember air is a fluid also and enough force upon it can hover, his body /arms angle of attach seem to be angled for fwd motion
This technology will lead onto bigger and better things. It's likely used for speed more than anything. To move soldiers faster across a battle scene. Don't be so pessimistic. It's a step in the right direction.
@@ROYCEJR. I am not annoyed about the fact that he demos the jet suit, but that after all these years he does not trust anyone flying it. Not very good selling point if you ask me.
Just imagine flying into a "hot" situation in that. You would have to ask the "baddies" not to shoot whilst you took your hands out of the kit to get your weapon!
Pretty sure the goal is to flood the boat with as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time to not get caught. Those jet suits are probably ejectable.
@@johntheux9238 I hope, for the sake of those in the boarding party (wearing the suits), backup is overwhelming for those on the the ship being boarded.
You could have suppresive fire at a distance on the ship while a minibird gets close enough to smoke bomb it. Then you could deploy the jett packs with infared vision.
@@ricardoaguilar7562 yeah true, you could do that. Or just accomplish the same thing with an unmanned drone. Don't get me wrong guys, this tech is absolutely awesome, but it's only in it's very early years. Right now the best use for it would be landing Solid snake on a hijacked ship
Can be a rescue o paramedic in remotely difficult areas where no vehicle o helicopter can go in Automatic guns can come attach already in the structure of the turbines on he's hans Can be a Boomer with special realise trigger mechanism build inside of the turbines where he's hans go possibilities are endless
