Princess Mary is absolutely stunning with her gorgeous dress n great body n handsome Prince they are Priceless the Number one wedding ever congratulation from usa .
The Prince look like such a normal guy. Fidgets, laughing with his best man, waiting a bit nervous/anxious, wiping his nose etc. Looked really happy when finally united with his bride. He could be Fred that I had pizza with last week.
Kerensa Birch Do you guys think Prince William and Kate are headed down the same path as Prince Charles and Diana? They both have the same pressure of being a British Royal, to have the ideal marriage, provide an heir to the throne. Are we just witnessing, a PR effort of a good marriage rather than true love?
Who knows with any marriage but I think they have a better chance of success. Kate seems a tougher person than Diana and, remember, she and Will were living together for a while before they got hitched.
what I like about the danish monarchy is that they are not afraid to show their emotions, frederick was so emotional that he was almost crying when he saw his bride, he kisses her several times during the ceremony was holding her hands, very warm wedding compare to the british monarchy!!
And how Very sweet at the end of Frederick and Mary's balcony moment for Frederik's parents to embrace their new daughter-in-law Crown Princess Mary, and then Frederik embraced his wife.👑👑💕💞💞
Sun broke through the clouds the moment doors were opened and they came out from the church - that sign! Mary is the best thing that has happened to us for a very, very long time :) Driving through Copenhagen, notice how close they are to the people. Because the royals are serving the people, so they of course want to be close to the people no matter what. They are not afraid! Royals can walk among us with no need of bodyguards because we love them.
The Queen of England could learn a lesson from this. She's such a dry crusty old bat. I'll never like her >:( -- I love the Royals from Denmark and Sweden the best
I love this couple. Mary is a beautiful bride! They are so in love! Years later they now have a beautiful family and I am so happy for them. May they always be blessed! ♥️🙏♥️
A really lovely wedding. Well done Denmark. Everyone seemed so real and wholesome by comparison to their UK cousins. Beautiful bride and handsome groom. Fabulous.
It was nice and had a lot of similarities to the UK but more casual but then Denmark is a much smaller country than UK. I found the actual wedding ceremony extremely short and could have had more liturgy and music. I do prefer the formality and pageantry of the UK
I was just thinking the same thoughts about the Danish monarchy and the British monarchy. I like Frederick and Mary, and the whole Danish wedding because of the emotions they all have towards each other. He watches her coming down the aisle with such love and they hold hands and kiss each other often. In the wedding of William and Kate we watch Prince Williams backside the whole time she comes down the aisle so beautifully, and the kiss on the balcony is a peck compared to the obvious love expressed by Frederick and Mary. I also enjoy watching the emotions between the Danish Queen and her sons and how they are obviously welcoming Mary into their family on the balcony. Sometimes I wonder if Queen Elizabeth knows how to smile and seems so stiff. I don't mean to criticize Queen Elizabeth, just the way she relates towards others, even among the family itself. One reason why I find Prince William and Kate so appealing is because they do let others know how they feel towards each other.
The English Royal family has protocol and tradition to follow, this is everything, William and Kate cannot passionately kiss. William is a Crown Prince, he will one day inherit the Crown and will be ordained by God. The Queen is the Crown, this is a part of government, the Crown should not make its opinion known hence your opinion that she doesn't know how to smile. I don't really think it possible to compare the Dutch/ Danish Royal family to that of England, we are all about tradition, it wouldn't really be possible for the British Crown to attend this event either, without any offence intended, it is in a class of its own in Europe, hence a representative is sent.
This is a lovely wedding no doubt, however the British pomp does it for me all the time. I replay William and Kate's bridal procession on youtube over and over again, the precision, the attention to detail, the timing, the music, the walk down the aisle, the views of the Westminster Abbey, the media capture of the event, it was phenomenal!!!
Uploader. Please allow for users to create subtitles for this particular video. This will make it so much easier for people who don't speak danish. Greeting from Denmark
This randomly came up for me today in Canada; wondering if the algorithm “caught on” that he ascends to King today? Anyway, no, I don’t speak a single word of Danish but especially what the priest was saying I knew. Ritual: the Lord’s Prayer I’m sure was one, and the traditional blessing of the rings. It helps that I attended church services for decades. This is a beautiful ceremony, and I’m happy to read that they’re still going strongly. I’m at 26+ years myself. ❤️

Exactly half an hour after the crown prince entered the church the bride enters also. This is how long an average wedding ceremony takes for non-royals, and theirs hasn´t even begun ;) I would have DIED in his shoes, waiting for that long. And i LOVE how he lost it when he saw his beloved bride. So human, so authentic, so DANISH. That´s just how they are. Jeg esker jer.
It must have been tough for Princess Mary moving to a country when she didn't speak the language and having to be a very public figure......the prince chose an amazing woman to be his wife.
They are much closer to the ordinary people, who are very protective of the Royals' privacy . This means they can go shopping , eat out in Restaurants etc. My neighbour's son-in-law is a Danish MP. Joanna was staying in Copenhagen , and they went out to lunch.Frederik and Mary came in , and said ,""Hello"". They were very interested that Joanna lived in a block of flats for senior citizens . They even paid for everyone's lunch , because they knew the son-in-law . Quite different from our more remote Royals. !
From the moment I saw the open arms of Christ welcoming the congregation, the royals and the beautiful bride; I know that this was an event to be a loving one. Her exquisite gown, vail, crown and elegant earrings were stunning. Their military sent off sealed it. Wow!
I am still quite struck by the fact that the two princes bear no physical resemblance to each other. I am given to understand that Frederik takes after his father, while Joachim takes after his mother.
No, Frederik takes after his Grandfather, queen Margrethe´s father, king Frederik 9. (1947 - 1972). The little brother, Joachim takes after their father, Henrik (Henri).
VICTORY Shih Tzu oh my god are you blind? Joachim is just like his mother, He walks, talkes and LOOKES like her, and Frederik takes after Henri Prince consort He looks NOTHING like Frederik 9. The Only Reason people compare the two are their minds, kindness and their way to keep up with the commoners...
MARY IS GENUINE FROM THE BEGINNING, START FROM DAY 1. SHE IS REAL UNTIL NOW QUEEN MARY OF DENMARK 2024 WITH 4 BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN !!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ SHE LEAVE HER ORIGIN COUNTRY, SHE ADAPT LEARN ALL DIFFICULTIES DANES CULTURE + LANGUAGE, SHE CONVERTED LUTERN FOR HIM, SHE GIVING BIRTH FOR HIS NATION. SHE TRULLY IS LOVING HIM BEYOND WORDS. HE MUST SEE AND REMEMBER ALL OF HIS OWN WORDS !!!!
Crown Prince Frederik's Smile when he saw his Bride for the first time really touched my heart. And the bride Entrance Music was so beautiful and the Bride too of course
The way she looks at him in the couple picture at the very beginning is precious. Not woman in their right mind will go through all that without love. I mean the language alone.
I love this royal family..the love they've shown for princess mary and to her family..omg...!..bow down to this royal fam..wonderful..very lucky and such a lovely wedding..😍❤
A beautiful wedding for two lovely people....! But those who critically compare the British Royal Family, unfavorably, as being more stiff and formal and "cold" don't understand the English reserve, which regards public demonstrations of emotion as being "rather bad form" , and "not quite the done thing", especially for British royalty, and don't understand the English " stiff upper lip" tradition! and preference for understatement!! It's not that we don't feel our emotions as much as other races and peoples, we do!! It's just that we don't show them openly so much!! Best of luck to the Danish royal couple!
M ary showed typical British reserve in Church but visibly relaxed once she got into the coach. They seemed to go through a bad patch in part of 2019,but are clearly very happy again in 2020
Royal weddings are always interesting to compare the religious traditions of the different European royal families,: Roman Catholic (Belgium, Luxembourg, Monaco, Spain); Lutheran (Denmark, Norway, Sweden); Anglican (the UK); Reformed /Presbyterian (the Netherlands); and Orthodox (Greece).
Danes (and Scandinavians) generally look younger than they really are ...also the men when they get old ... I mean Danish actor Viggo Mortensen is almost 60 years old ..
Mchlbk/ Your culture and royal family are one of the Riches of your beautiful country.I only wish I had learnt one or more scandinavien languages. I realise that many details might seem an anachronism in todays world . But strangely that is what appeals to my type of person. The brutality of the World is out of ones mind. They Bring tradition, stability, beauty ,corrrect manners , politness , graciousness, smiling faces, happyness. . That most of us do not have in our lives
Yes as do other countries royalty .Queen Sylvia, was i believe one of the first with Grace of Monaco and Diana . It is their position which allows them to open doors that might remain shut for normal people . we can be thankful that they take on these responsability.
To see 2 people in love watch the wedding of Prince Frederick and Mary Donaldson in 2004, and then watch his 50th birthday and listen to her speech. All of the euro royalty are so demonstratei while ours according to what the Queen says are not supposed to even hold hands in public.
beautiful. what a great choice of music (handel). another beautiful wedding is that of prince carl philip of sweden and sofia except their choice of music, especially at the end.
Thankfully the younger Royals are able to marry people they love. They do not have an arranged marriage, where the Prince makes duty calls into his wife's bedroom, and is then free to see his girl friends.Sadly people like the Queen and other older European Royals only understand a life surrounded by servants ,and carrying out duties arranged for them. Our Queen is desperate to return to the only life she knows ie her public life.Even her wonderful husband has to take second place.Sad!
