Also, there are a few minor mistakes that might confuse the spectator, like the explanation of an ace. It is said in the video that an ace is when the player serves the ball legally and the opponent cannot return the ball, even if he touches it to the outside of the court, when in reality an ace is "a legal serve that is not touched by the receiver, winning the point". The image showing Federer not receiving Murray's serve corroborate to this minor mistake of the video, because Federer does touch the ball after a legal server of Murray, but he didn't return it well (the ball went out of Murray's court area), this is not an ace.

Tennis sounds so damn complicated at first but you will quickly get used to it. And it will take long to get good at it, for most people at least, but if you keep training it will be much fun!

It maybe sounds strange and confusing here. But I recommend watching some matches. I watched Australian Open as my first tennis matches in my life and watching the game actually helped me big time. It's one of the easiest sports to understand.
Im playing tennis for over 8 years and thrust me guys that sport is worth every little bit of efort.And in this really good video to watch if you want at least a bit to learn these complicated rules.

Before the match begins, a coin toss is performed. The winner of the toss gets to choose to either serve or return first (service/return position) OR they get to choose the side of the court. If the winner chooses the serve/return position, the opponent gets to choose the side and vice versa. Players switch sides after every odd number of games (after the 1st game, 3rd game and so on).

Okay tennis players. I'm 11 and I play softball I loved that so much and want to try more (volleyball ,tennis) but I don't know anything about it but when high school rolls around I want to play but like all school teams you have to try out now I was wondering If you think I can learn how to play and be okay at it in a small amount of time. Or is it easy to play and will I embarrass myself.
Like with any sport, you don't know if you don't try! Don't expect to be amazing at it straight away. But so long as you enjoy what you do, the skills will come naturally. Good luck!
