what is truly weird is; I have been collecting Runaways for 35 years, and it wasn't until this film came along, and of course YOU TUBE, until I coud see everyone's pictures of the band. In the eighties I subscribed to all of the zines ever created on the band, but haven't seen so many pics as in the last weeks.

It would be ironic if Kim Fowley wrote this song, but he didn't. In another sense, he was the producer of that album, and if he approved of this song, that would be ironic.

Zoey Paige indeed Cherie was the lead singer, but Joan also did lead vocals on some of the Runaways songs too. Cherie and Joan took turns doing lead vocals.
Probably 'cos Joan had already stolen the lead vocal for the title track 'Queens Of Noise'? Currie was still the lead singer for the band for the 2nd album, Jett tried taking over a bit but it didn't fully happen until the 3rd after Currie had left.
As I understand it, Joan Jett could barely sing when Cherie Curry split -- but Joan learned under "trial by fire" conditions, and would up lead singer on the last two Runaways albums. Nowadays, (when I would assume she's had a vocal coach), Joan's voice is easily ten (10) times better than Cherie's! I think it's cool that JJ wrote this song all by herself. She is the better singer for it, too. I never knew the Runaways recorded this album -- but it's never mattered, 'cause Joan's solo version is so superior. If Joan wrote song like this, by herself, all the time, she'd be constantly nomimated for and even winning Grammy awards. Must now go listen to version on _Bad Reputation to get this version out of my head. GOD, was Cherie Curry overrated!

@@superamanda check out "Love Hurts" and "Little Liar (Hit List version). She's good hell of a range, but she also had no vocal training, from what I know, Cherie did have some lessons. Check out Evil Stig, she did an album with the remains of the Gits which had her own music and then mostly covers of the Gits and then listen to the Gits music.
