I love getting happy mail

I was headed to the mail box at grandmother’s house up hill trekking in my snowshoes when out came a polar bear chased me home. Running as fast as I could but all he wanted was my coke cola brrr 🥶. Love the ending story.

Snowshoes, mailman and polarbear, all remind me of Winter.

When I was a kid, the Christmas tree always went in the corner of the living room that we all passed by on our way from upstairs to the kitchen. It was an old, drafty house, so in winter, we always slept in flannel pjs. My mom would put so much tinsel on the tree that you had to be careful walking past it in your pjs - you'd pick up half the tinsel from the dang tree with all the static electricity from the flannel!

Congratulations! I love all the wool appliqué you do. That’s one craft I never learned how to do. Sharing stitchy tools was fun. I love counting pins. I ordered some on Etsy. I looked at them and decided I could make them myself. I have so many beads from when I made bracelets years ago so now I make them for me and my best friend. She, in turn, made us very cute pin cushions out of quilt fabrics. I love you two. Happy Thanksgiving! Mail

I just bought a Lowery stand from Steph at Lindy Stitches. I stitch in a recliner and none of the other stands I have tried work very well. The Lowery stand is working like a dream. It can be used with scroll rods, Q snaps or hoops. I'm 75 and prefer stitching with scroll rods because they don't wrinkle your fabric. Snow shoes, mail, polar bear

Always look forward to your flosstube! Roberta, I eat like your husband, no or low carb - Keto. My husband doesn’t. I don’t cook 2 separate meals I just adjust. If I’m making beef stew, I cook the potatoes & carrots separately. We’ve made it work for over 6 years now.

About you travel light cord, get a spool and wrap your cord around it, use a “peel” or velcro loop to keep it in place. This will help keep the cord in good shape. You can also get some fish tank air hose and split it then position it over the end that attaches to the light to help keep that end from bending and the wires from breaking.

I just started back to x-stitch after about a 15-year hiatus. I found your channel when surfing Floss Tube and was delighted to find local-ish stitchers. I live southwest of Topeka. I wear snowshoes when walking with my polar bear to get the mail.
