Blow after blow kept coming for Queen Rhaenrya Targaryen and her black council. She was quickly losing control of king's landing, finding herself with fewer and fewer allies each day. But that is not to say things were all fine for King Aegon's Greens as the king himself was still missing, regardless of the huge Hightower host moving on Kings Landing. But there was to be one blow this day that ripped at the heart of the greens, and that is the very sad death of the young queen helaena. wife and mother to King Aegon's children.
The Dance Of The Dragons will be the focus of the plot of the new HBO spin-off House Of The Dragon coming in 2022. So if you want to learn the story before we see HBO's take on it then this will be a very long-running series. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on Geroge R R Martins A Song Of Ice And Fire series. The information in this video comes from the books a world of ice and fire as well as fire and blood.
Much of the information in the video comes directly from Fire & Blood, with supplementary additions from the wiki and myself to enhance the narrative. I would highly recommend you pick up a copy of fire and blood and read it for yourself as it is criminally underrated.

I never realized it until now that dragons can pretty much sense when their rider is in danger or dead. Even in the television show when Dragon returns to check on Daenerys on top of the Great Pyramid. It never occurred to me he was checking on her after she was nearly ambushed following the execution of Mossador.

I’m not so eager to write off Heleana’s death as a suicide. It would make sense for her to be suicidal from the horrors she suffered. But I suspect Larys Strong. The Clubfoot was definitely hiding in King’s Landing somewhere throughout the entire war. He saw that the small folk were turning against Rhaenyra with her taxes and heavy-handed rule. So Larys had Helaena thrown out a window. That way the murder couldn’t be traced back to him, and he knew the small folk would be quick to believe the worst of “Maegor with teats”.

It could certainly be a good way of having the two seers having a chance to fully interact without other major characters, showing their abilities, differences and a glimpse of the hidden war that we've seen only glimpses of so far in the HOTD series between the Old Gods (the wierwood network of greenseers) and the Remnants of Old Valyria that would end with the Three-Eyed Raven's triumph 170 years later (if the ending in the books closely runs with the series, but that is still up for debate)

Most likely she killed herself willingly. She already had a traumatic event by watching her son be murdered in front of her. She most likely lost all hope and didn’t want to see another child of hers die, so she jumped.

I think the obvious answer is sometimes the closest and suicide makes sense. however would not put it past Mysaria or The Clubfoot being involved in someway just simply to fan the chaos. I always thought the citadel or faith could be involved in some way with the religious uprising happening in the city at the same time. Another idea i've seen floating about is the faceless men, but there isn't enough evidence in my opinion.

It was also perfectly fine that Luke took his eye with no even as much as a slap on the wrist. But Luke later dies and somehow this is unfair. Luke got what came to him. And so did everyone else in this series. The Blacks were not the heroes in this, only dumb people try to paint them to be.

God, I'll honestly CRY 😢 at Helaena's death. Hers was a true story of how an innocent mother can be throne around by their own party. It's ironic, if Helaena had lived(or atleast died later on) would the riots have happened? Would Rhaenyra have still been able to hold the throne? These are questions that I both want answers to & also ones I feel the answer to already

Her mistake was to imprison Addam and Corlys. Denying Joffrey from assisting during the riot and not participating in the effort herself. The riots should never have been an issue in the first place. While some of the dragonseed proved to unfaithful. Addam would have been one of her most loyal supporters. He had marriage ties to her being a legitimatised Velaryon. The Velaryon were literally the first house to back Rhaenyra and her closest allies. Throwing their full support behind her. Addam also stood to inherit driftmark since of Laenor's children only Joffrey still lived at the time and he would have inherited the Iron Throne. Trying to imprison Addam who had every reason to support her, cost her a Dragonrider who would have otherwise been in King's landing during the riot. Then subsequently imprisoning Corlys the guy who consistently stood by you and your family for decades. Even going so far as to knowing end his house's bloodline for you. This alienated the Velaryon troop in King's Landing who made up the bulk of the garrison, causing half of them to just walk.

If you are referring to the three eggs that are given to Daenerys, that happened way before Helaena was born. Dreamfyre 1st rider was queen Rhaena Targaryen. The eggs being stolen happened while Rhaena was alive.

If you haven’t read a ‘The World Of Ice & Fire’ it’s very good. Some of fire and blood is repeated but great world building stuff. I’d also recommend Preston Jacobs fire and blood podcast. It makes you look at fire and blood in a different way even if you don’t agree with all his theories

When the blacks take King's Landing it was revealed that Daemon still took Mysaria to bed and Blood was a member of The City Watch that has always been fiercely loyal to Daemon. Try to spin it anyway you want it will always point to the same direction that it was Daemon who was behind Blood and Cheese.

I hope not i don't think they will as it would make the Treason At Tumbleton really hard to make work. But out of all of the Targaryens, i think he is at most risk of being cut. You can make the story work without him even if it would be worse of for it. I think he will be in the show when you look at all the other more minor characters that have been cast. Would be shocked if he did get cut

I don't understand why Rhaenyra and/or the black council didn't ask for some troops to be sent from the Vale and the North to Kings Landing. The main troops would go by land, but a small proportion of them could go by sea. With the help of the Velaryon's ships. 2,000 men-at-arms would make a lot of difference in the city. And they could go to the nearest castles, wield the queen's power. Okay that's explaining that Northern troops take a long time to gather, but that's all the more reason to send a small part of it soon.

In fact, the North did send 2000 men-at-arms : the Winter Wolves. But the real answer isn't here : It's so obvious that Cregan Stark had no intention of facing the dragons, or even facing anyone. He spent the entire war hiding in Winterfell, waiting for the dragons to die before intervening, and again he managed to arrive after the fighting was over. Once at King's Landing, he threatened Aegon's former allies to continue the war (10,000 starving and destitute men against Oldtown and Casterly Rock, let me laugh) despite knowing full well that he would never have to wage such a losing battle. He then turned against Corlys Velaryon but it was enough for Alyn Velaryon to threaten to come to King's Landing to make him back down. What's interesting about Cregan Stark is that everyone sees him as a great charismatic warrior, while everything about his actions shows the opposite: a coward and a blusterer.
