From 1929 on her acting was ahead of the times. While others overacted as if on stage, she intimately lived the roles allowing audiences to easily identify with her characters - the first modern screen actor.

Like so many unique “It” girls who had great stage presence or photogenic screen presence, were highly underpaid, taken advantage of, abused by the powerful male producers and directors in the early days of Hollywood. These girls to women were talented, creative, led racy lives to try to make it, in this still very dominant male preferential business. Except for the quiet, pretty sexy girl/woman; who have to support the male leads so often. It’s changing, but poor, sad, attractive, dynamic Clara Bow was treated very badly in most of her career. She was very special in front of the camera in silent films! ❤️❤️❤️

She was in a relationship with the original dracula movie star. She gave him a panting of her self fully nude. He was married 2 other times but never removed her painting above his bed. Only until he died did it come down.
