The Samsung Galaxy Gear S3 in 2022. Is it still worth picking up? 

I bought my S3 last fall at a garage sale for 8 bucks!!!! 😲 However, soon afterwards I quickly found out why the lady was selling it--the battery drained immediately from 100% to 0 in a matter of minutes. I took a chance of buying a replacement battery from Amazon for about $13, and my gamble paid off because the watch is now working perfectly. It's an awesome watch. I love it!! (She originally wanted $10 but I haggled it down to $8. One of the best garage sale finds I've ever had.. 🥰)

I have used my S3 Frontier each and every day for 5 years and it still looks as good as new. The original battery gives me two days of use. IMO it is the best looking smart watch out there. Definitely the best looking Samsung watch ever. Even the watch 5 pro doesn't beat the S3 in looks 👍🏽

100% agree with you. I have one since 2017 and honestly I don't look foward yo change it, I change My phone 5 times, but my smartwatch still this. Just love it

The Gear S 3 is an awesome watch . I bought my GearS 3 frontier 5 years ago and it still works great . I see no reason to upgrade . It was cutting edge when I first got it . When I first got it most people thought it was just a nice looking watch until I would answer the phone on my watch .

Outstanding review. Much appreciated. I own the frontier version and loved it, but stopped using it for awhile, don't remember why and forgot I had it. just found it and think I'll fall in love with it all over again. You've reminded me of what a great watch it is.

Have the G3 frontier. Had it for 4 years not looking at another watch.

I still have the GS3 frontier in 2022 and wouldn't swap it for all the tea in China.

2024 and I still use mine. Performance and battery as on the 1st day.

Mine still looks new I've used it for 5 years it's an awesome watch.

I never charged mean since also 2 years but yesterday I charged with my note ultra wireless...this watch i think is best one...and I customized mine too everybody ask me about

Its a great watch and even though it may not be the latest and greatest, for "basic" people like me, its worked awesome. Sadly, after 4 1/2yrs, mine has finally died and I've moved to the Watch 4... however these can now be found very cheap as refurbs on ebay, hell, you can buy the main board and a new battery too... may do that in the future

It is going to be 7 years of using this watch... the battery life is still about 3 days. It has everything i need...NFC, phone calls, ....true it is water resistant, no problem swiming in the sea. I had temptations to change it but so far there was not smart watch made to convience me to repalce it.

My biggest issue is it not having Google assistant. The only problem I've had in the last 5 years is the heart rate monitor stops working periodically, but that's probably my fault. I've worn it in the sauna and steam room at 180°+ and then immediately jump into the shower. Same routine for years, I'm honestly surprised how well it's handled the abuse over the years. Anyway, awesome device but I've always felt there was so much wasted potential not having Google assistant. Now they finally have Google assistant on the new watch, but I dunno if I can live without the rotating bezel... Why can't they just make things right???!!!

When I was in highschool I always hid a earbud under my hair and watch RU-vid on this watch just to pass time and be alittle sneaky lol

Should've watched a review before I bought one but I just ordered a refurbished one for 100 bucks. I'm not too worried about regretting the purchase after watching this.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 frontier however I don't have numbers on my rotating bezel just tick marks, My numbers are in board of the bezel and much much smaller than what is showing in this video as well as my bezel is black on the face and yours seems to be brushed steel with big black numbers

I can't not have Chronograph+. I recreated it in Watch Face Studio, Turned the little faces into battery, heartrate and month top to bottom. I'd share a link to the file and resources, but this would get removed. Get the gear s3 rom, usr/apps

I am not sure for how long samsung pay will be supported on it, I bet it aint geting software updates, wikipedia says the last software update was in 2020, anyone got info on this topic?
