What is The Sandbox?
The Sandbox is a virtual world where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences on the Ethereum blockchain. It features three main components: our VOXEDIT 3D voxel art animation software for building NFT game assets, a MARKETPLACE for buying and selling NFT assets, and the GAME MAKER tool for creating gaming experiences in The Sandbox metaverse.
The Sandbox NFTs
Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are virtual tokens minted on the blockchain for digital scarcity, security, and authenticity. They are unique, indivisible, and non-interchangeable - allowing true digital ownership of in-game assets.
What are SAND and LAND?
$SAND is the main utility token that serves as the basis for transactions with The Sandbox. This versatile Ethereum ERC-20 cryptocurrency allows users to access the game platform, buy and sell ASSETs, partake in governance, staking and liquidity mining for passive income, and much more! A LAND is an ERC-1155-based digital piece of real estate in The Sandbox metaverse that players buy to build interactive experiences, utilizing ERC-721-based digital ASSETs and The Sandbox Game Maker

It looks like minecraft, and like minecraft you can create your own world/server (here, "do whatever you want with your land"). Unlike minecraft, there isn't a single developer that gets all the profits, right? The participants in the community do. I guess that's pretty cool. And you can earn profits and interest as more people participate in the market, values rise, and scarcity is built into the model. I just wish it had smoother graphics 😪 Thank you for compiling this video

Smoother graphics, means much more complicated, out of brand developments. I think they made it like this so when you make a game, you'll know its sandbox. That is vital for growth.

how much does it cost to do a transfer? if the fee is the same as doing an ETH tx then this wont work. The fees will be so high that it wont make sense to use ETH apps.

So it's being touted as a platform for creators to design and sell digital assets, but in order to do so, you need to stake their token. Yeah, definitely sounds like a scam.

what i see about all these play-2-earn games are entrepreneur try to capitalize their game as real life asset/money in other way, create so call in-game economy let player bear the risk of market and they just being a real-estate company selling lands & property. People buying not even know what PvE, trading, levevling systems are given or not even a game. So if the P2E game owner sold out all land they can valuate and sell according what you spent which not even de-centralized. the earning from P2E is running like stock market because of upward trending nowadays and investor strive into it, but P2E itself sounds like an IT scam to me just another game of market.

Hmmm??? The game needs economy to be interesting. If I want to buy land to make gun-making factory, where do I get the materials for the guns? Also what will determine my guns stats? And where is game world bosses that need high stat guns to kill them? Will there be wars? Can you conquer land that other people bought with real $? This game is bs if it doesn't have at least this level of complexity. Better go play eve online.

I still don't understand if and how people can get to the many lands that have already been purchased (and I am assuming, developed)? Can you only get to a small number of places now but more in the future? Are people buying that land for its perceived future value, but it currently has no utility?
