Hi there VHTV loyal subscribers and forum friends,
Well it's almost taken 3 months to complete this review but here it is broken down into 2 parts.
When I and Davy started shooting these VHTV Spectre's back in the middle of February we knew that they were something very special, so decided right back then not to rush a good thing but to push the rifles to the extreme limit to see what they were cable of.
In this 2 part review you will see the Sandwell Field Sports VHTV Spectres in action at the shop, on the indoor range, on the out door range, then finally in the field culling legal UK vermin.
I hope that you will agree after watching these 2 parts that Tony Wall at Sandwell Field Sports as yet again produced a great job with these rifles, yet again showing people the work he and his staff produce.

nice guns guys! i have hw97k in cs700 stock and have tuned it with a v mach kit, as well as reaming the transfer port and some trigger fettling it has an extreme spread of just 4fps similar to yours . The pride at owning such a master piece is written all over your faces and i really enjoyed watching this one thankyou.

Really nice mate! i want one lol, had a few sfs springers, a hw77 being probably one of the best tuned springers ive owned and ive had a good few to! nice vid Plink Vsu

Glad that you are happy mate. Now you see why me and Davy push his work so much. Until you actually try his work for yourself you cannot see just how good it is. Tony is a spring rifle guru.

I did use H and N for the 50 m group, but i now use AA Fields which group even tighter now the rifle is fully bedded in. The bottle tops in part 2 are shot with AA Fields.

by hell the spectre's lookk amazing peaces ov work brilliant revew lads .. swer i never get tiered ov watching you guys at VHTV not only that you can make me laff as well witch is a always gud =) always an enjoyment to watch.. i wud rely like to see you guys a review on a theoben gas ram rifle, ie the fenman, evolution, or sirocco, if you got the opportunity as they are a dead rifle i know, but i have a theoben evolution in .22 n loved it sins day one .. but even now there is so menny mixed feelings on gas ram rifles n different variations on the gas ram technology.. i wud rely like to here your opinions on summiting from the original creators ov the gas ram theoben.. thankyou verry much n keep up the fantastic work

Barrel flip on the .22 I solved the same problem with my hw95 by replacing the light barrel for the heavier hw98 barrel, shoots light a dream now.

There is a barrel sleeve on the hhw 98, it's the same barrel as original the 95, plus "extra pipe" outside

For me the TX200hc is the finest out the box spring rifle I have ever used.

Hey Si and Davy, I'm happy to say I can finally afford a springer of quality. My question to you both is would you chose the HW97k or the TX200 if you had to pick. Mind you the gun can not be tuned (we don't have anyone around who works on air rifles). Thanks and love the vids, keepem comming.

hi si, great video, what pellets did you do the 50m zero with? i have a hw95 .22 sfs stage 1 tuned and use h&nftt at the moment, not sure wether to try anything else? regards clive

it might shoot better than the tx but the think is with a fix barrled rifle as you may know are more consistent as you are loading directly into the barrel and accuracy is better as the barrle isnt moving if he could adapt this damper system onto and under lever model gun it would be better

Guys how much roughly is a tuned .22 spectre ? Am looking for a spring and piston rifle but don't want to break the bank but it would be nice if it was tuned! ATB Matt

I can't believe that I have been a gun owner sense my 5th birthday and never bothered to buy a pellet gun. Dam these look fun. What would you suggest for me to buy if I would prefer nut to have to pump it manually, have some sort of magazine and fire semi auto, that also is very accurate and has enough power to hunt small to mid size game?

Get either of the 4, AirArms tx200hc, weirach hw97kt,hw95, AA pro sport, walther LGU, all superb priced and it's British and German engineering @ it's very best. Most expensive is the pro sport £480 new, tx200hc new £375/90 same as the 2 weirach the walther lgu is £350 (bought mine new )pcp is great fun but I have a 5ltr dive tank as well as my spring piston rifles all stock exept hw95 luxus that has a vmach kit, great guns all of them

Can you please comment on your hold -- all of you hold way out on the forestock, out past center of gravity. I have tried this, repeatedly, on my RWS 48 without success. It appears you hold all of your rifles that way?

I've since emailed Si and spoken to Tony Wall and they reckon the Spectre is just a little bit too light at the muzzle. What do you reckon? Options? An HW98 maybe? I'm now more confused than ever and need to shoulder/fire a few springers before making my final decision. Off to Sandwell in a couple of weeks time.
