When Harbaugh was hired, he was hired to bring Michigan back. But after controversy, failure, and trial, the Wolverines hit rock bottom. That is until team "142". Against all odds they beat ohio state and won the big ten championship. Although they got blown out in the college football playoff, they know what they need to do to get to the next level. A year ago you would've been laughed out of the state if you said we were getting anywhere close to where we finished. This team will "be back."
This video shows the whole timeline. All the gut wrenching losses, sweet wins, and moments that define the harbaugh era. I used the "Interstellar Theme." It represents hope. Hope amidst the losses at the beginning, but began to fade. Hope led to doubt, which led to tension, with led to a place at rock bottom. Team "142" changed that. Now, now there is hope again. Lots of it. Thank you. Thank you too all the teams that came before and helped pave the way. You are not forgotten. But most of all, thank you team 142.

Favorite moment? At the end after the Georgia loss when Michigan fans were cheering their team as the left the field and screaming how proud they were of them. Fighters until the end. So proud.

My favorite moment was against Ohio State. We were up 35-27 and we got the ball back with about four minutes left. Hassan Haskins ran a beautiful fifteen yard run for a first down. I looked at another fan in the student section and at the same time we had the same realization and we yelled “We’re actually going to f-ing beat Ohio State!!” I’ll never forget that moment for the rest of my life.

Let's not forget our other 5 star Freshman to the right of JJ.. makes me wonder if JJ is 6'4 now or is Donavan Edwards shorter than the 6'1 height and Anthony shorter than listed 6'2.. !? Just looks like JJ had 2 to 3 inches stranding in the middle..

What's your favorite moment? When Henning scores on the end around is incredible, but my favorite moment is at 55:44 when Harbaugh says "those are my friends." The amount of love & loyalty Jim Harbaugh has for his players is truly special. Any Michigan recruit should see how much Harbaugh loves his players, that he doesn't see them as expendable athletes, but as his friends.

And even when they almost came back I had a feeling they wouldn't win the whole time. I guess that's what makes 142 different. But that team laid the groundworks for this team I love that team

@@meyersmediafamily Even though we lost, that 2nd half was crucial. We were horrible that season up to that point. It totally turned the season around until we played Ohio State. If we go out the next 2 weeks after that and lose to Notre Dame and Michigan State, then Harbaugh may have lost his job

Look at the numbers as a whole... since 2017 GA has 23 5 star commitments Alabama has 22 5 star commitments Ohio has 21 5 star commitments LSU has 10 5 star commitments The drop off shows that the Rich get Richer. No player wants to go to a team thats going to lose. Those top 5 programs win... We will be in that list next year and the year upcoming

I’m a Penn State fan and this brought tears to my eyes. It’s crazy to think where Michigan was at the end of the covid season and going into the 2021 season. If anyone before the 2021 season told me Michigan would win the Big Ten, I would’ve told you that you were insane. To think how quickly Jim Harbaugh turned the program around so quickly and looking like what Ohio State used to be, and to finish the regular season 12-0 this year is really incredible. Hats off to Michigan, hats off to Jim Harbaugh, and congrats on getting your program headed in the right direction. To be 24-2 overall since the odd Covid season after Harbaugh had never beat Ohio State between 2015 and 2020, it’s good to see Michigan return to what they used to be. From this lifelong Penn State fan, these past two seasons have been the best outputs for Michigan since 1997.

@jayandrusiak as a fan who was born in 2001 and didn't get into football until 2008. From rich rod to hoke and through the Harbaugh years. Watching this program develop to be able to win the big ten back to back definitely is the greatest thing I've watched from any of my sports teams.

Can’t ever remember a prouder feeling than this season for our Michigan Wolverines…as fans we always try to predict the season by each game but this season proves the journey is worth it from start to finish…what a year!!! This was a year too remember because it will start a new era of recruiting and coaching that will spark the next stage of Michigan football!!! Thank you to all those players and coaches that made everything happen essentially from the will to play one’s heart out!!!!

That win against Ohio State in 2021 will forever hold a place in my heart. As long as I live. Call me corny, old, whatever. But what this program had went thru for TWO DECADES leading up to that game… I’ll just always remember it. And also the pain & suffering we all endured to get to that point also tho. Came Back to watch this video in 2024 and wow what a ride. I remember watching this video in 2022 and seeing how exciting it was to see us beat OSU and go to the CFP. I remember thinking back then how amazing that feeling was and I never thought it could get better than that season. Boy I was wrong lol because 2 years later we’ve beaten OSU 3 straight years, made the CFP 3 straight years, won the Rose Bowl against Bama, made it the National Championship, and more importantly we won the National Championship this year. It’s definitely been a long journey to get this point after decades upon decades of heartbreak, but here we are. The Kings of Big Ten, The Kings Of College Football, Hail To The Victors Y’all (literally) Rejoice, Michigan Football Is Blessed ❤🙏🏾

@@HIPERZZ nick saban runs college football. The bottom 2/3 of the sec rides his coat tails. There are certainly flashes of brilliance from auburn, lsu, and uf from time to time. But saban is the ruler. I think uga will be a serious contender now for a good long while. But the rest of the sec is just as average as the rest of the fbs.

@@HIPERZZ I certainly had hopes um could compete with uga but I'm not shocked they lost. Uga had the reason to win after losing to Alabama. Um had 2 weeks of hearing how great they were. So that was a small factor. But more than that, uga had what...19 five star players? Um had 4 or something like that? Um has not built to compete for the national scene. Their focus this year was osu and the big ten. I think this gives them a step up to get better players and look to the national scene now, but uga was just massive. I think they should have been undefeated but they did to Alabama the first time what um did to uga. "Oh we so good ya can't stop us!" Outside of Alabama and uga I think michigan could have beat everyone else in the sec. If there is a loss it might have been to arkansas...maybe.

I don’t care if this team lost 98-3 against Georgia. This 2021 team made me feel again. Doubt at the beginning, questions leading up to the MSU game, sorrow after, curiosity up to the PSU game, surprised after, no expectations leading to OSU, possibly the happiest most enjoyable moment of my life after. I love the 2021 team. They made me believe again when all hope was lost.

This was one of the best TEAM season efforts I've ever seen. This team had a cohesion with each other that I haven't seen since 1997. (*edit: 2006 as well.) They trusted in each other, they fed off each other, and they played for each other and the team & school. Hopefully along with Harbaugh they've instilled that attitude back into the program. If so we may see a competitive Michigan team for some years to come.

We may have lost. We may have not gotten the chance to go to the natty. But that’s all alright, because we did what no one thought we could. We got to the CFP with a .5% chance. We went against everyone and we won. This year will go down as one of the greatest Michigan seasons since Yost gained his fame. This, this is the restart of the Harbaugh era.

That moment vs Penn State, Cade to All for the TD. I felt it, I felt that spark in my belly - I knew this team was different. Soak it up, savor this amazing season. After the loss I was very upset with the team because we all know they can be so much better. But after reflecting back on the season and watching this again I am so proud of our 2021 Michigan Football Team. One of the best teams in school history like Harbaugh said, I think this loss was needed for us to be better and gain the experience needed to comeback next year and give them hell. This class next year will still carry the fire and desire that this 2021 team did I feel like, they rebuilt the standard for Michiana football again and put us back where we belong in the top 4 teams in the nation and a big 10 championship. Cant wait for next season.

After Columbus, I thought no way we could ever lose. Man, I’m lucky to experience it but this next szn I’m planning on going to the big house for THE GAME. Praying it’s 1 and 2 undefeated

The ending of this season was not what I or any of us true fans would have wanted. However I've been a Wolverine fan since my inception 24 years ago. I will continue to support and stand by my Wolverines until the world blows. GO BLUE! May this truly be the turning of the tides for our programs. I was raised in maize and blue. My uncle took me to games since I could walk. I named my dog Bo the day of his last game. I went to MSU as a student and wore Wolverines shirts. Even though it's just a game it's a huge culture and part of my family. My uncle passed this year. While I've taken my oldest to a couple of away games (I live out of state now) he's never been to a home game and felt the environment. The conference championship is about 20 minutes from my house and we went this year and even though it was at a neutral site, it was a home game 100%. My son got to cheer, boo, sing, dance... He got the full experience. It's great to see traditions handed down to another generation. I feel like this video is one of the only ones I've seen that captures that feeling. Thanks for taking the time to make this.

Watching this now, as we just beat OSU for the 2nd straight year in a row. Heading to the playoffs to face TCU! WOW! What a ride it has been! Currently sitting at 25-2 in the last 2 seasons! Will we win the National Championship? Not sure, but what I do know is that IT'S GREAT TO BE A MICHIGAN WOLVERINE!!!

Beating Ohio this year is 1 but besides that the 49-10 beat down of penn state that ultimately kept them out of the playoff is my favorite moment

GO BLUE!! What a great season!! This team gave it everything they had!! Started not in the top 25 and beat Ohio st and won the B1G Championship and made it to the playoffs!! Congrats to Georgia they have a hell of a team!! But I'm very proud of this Michigan team!! GO BLUE!!

Heartbreaking memories freshly being dangled in front of my face, bitter and hard to swallow yet again. Its so painful that i have to stop watching it just 10 short minutes. Maybe if im strong enough or maybe after a month or two i will be able to muater enough courage to finish this. But until then, i will cherish the moment of the frozen, snow clad field of the big house late last november.

In hindsight it’s my favorite team in a long time. 2022 they were definitely better statistically and as a team, and 2023 national champs after a crazy season, but 2021 is the scrappy, ain’t gonna do nothing team that won the conference. Thank you Cade, thank you Hassan, Thank you Hutch. You laid the groundwork for JJ, Corum, and the best defense in the country! Go blue!

My moment for me will always be 11/27/21, I was there and I got on the field afterwards and had a short conversation with Cade McNamara. I simply said to him, remember this moment for the rest of your life! You guys deserve this! He simply said, thank you. The BIG HOUSE was the loudest I've ever heard it and I've been going since 1993. Words and pictures can't describe the feeling that day, though I wasn't born yet, I imagine that 11/27/21 felt like Bo's first win against WOODY in 1969. Because if you look at those pictures and compare them to 2021 win, eerily simulator.....GO BLUE!

Just looking back and watching this naughty believe we could beat Ohio State. A member in 2018 I was done. I was like we cannot keep doing this and then we did it. Ohio State was slain in our room was like you can’t do it again and we did it again then like it doesn’t matter they’ll never never win a championship in they did it what a ride that’s been watching, these last couple years I started that game in 2000 when I started watching college football in Michigan and it’s just been so rewarding to watch this team the last three years and see them overcome everybody.

I absolutely love Cade McNamara. McCarthy is without a doubt the much better athlete, but Cade was such a huge part of the 2021 Playoff Run that gave this University a pulse. He was a game manager, an outside of 1 interception against OSU, was basically perfect in the big games. His speech after the Nebraska game about “other Michigan team’s losing that game” was so unbelievably true and I think that he was a big embodiment of this whole team’s mentality. I wish you and All nothing but the best at Iowa, see you in Indy.

Jim Harbaugh is a great coach, his demeanor had been altered from the beginning of the 2021 season, Harbaugh sounded like he had a spiritual Ayahuasca journey......absolutely awesome demeanor. With that being said, Michigan did not come to play last night. Through the years Michigan had been notorious for not getting it done in the bowl games......too much time playing in the sand.

Greatest moment was when JJ signed with Michigan. Harbaugh had been waiting years for a good QB. As long as he has the QB he wants, his teams will always be successful.
