Back when I lived in Georgia, we had a Bigfoot that would come by and chase off the bobcats. We lived a little bit up a mountain at the time, so we were no stranger to weird noises. What I did not expect was that Bigfoot expected to be paid for his services. It started off with small stuff. He dug up some veggies I had been growin', rooted through the garbage. At first I thought it was just raccoons or whatever. However, one night I'm on my porch and I'm having a beer when all of a sudden, Bigfoot pimp strides out of the forest and throws some hand signals. I was too scared to take a photo but I'm pretty sure he was throwing up the Crips sign. Anyway, He walks right up to me and takes my beer, chugs it in one go, then spikes the empty can on the ground. The Bigfoot burped and then left without anything else. Since then I've been leaving beers on my porch and they keep vanishing. Anyway, that's my encounter story. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a gorilla because he was flashing the Crips sign.

I actually wrote and directed a play for the 2022 Indyfringe Festival called Bigfoot Saves America, where he fights Mothman to disco music, reunites with his father Werewolf Teddy Roosevelt, and saves his ex-wife Dr. Love Interest. I'd love to share it and thankfully have it recorded.

As a Native American who used to live on a reservation, I have seen some CRAZY shit that is very hard to shrug off and say that absolutely nothing weird is out there.

I always thought it was strange that everything about Bigfoot is massive but we named him after his feet.

I visited Seattle last summer, and I was amazed at how much the city embraces Big Foot. I saw statues of him everywhere, even a mural at my hotel. Very weird. Very interesting. Very cool.

The idea that every Bigfoot that ever existed is basically just a species of fedora tipping TJ Kirks is just freaking hilarious.

I remember, in elementary school, when I would check out books about cryptids. Most often, Nessie and Bigfoot. It was great imagining the unkown and how these creatures could exist. 20 years later, I turn on the history channel. Where, I see a man saying that bigfoot uses their electromagnetic properties to acces folds in spacetime where they can teleport. That, obviously, explains why all of the footage is fuzzy and how such a large creature could dissappear so quick. Thought I was high but googled it later and apparently they've really jumped the shark.

The Kentucky Goblin was made into Sableye and the Flatwoods Monster was put in Majora's Mask so they're definitely popular too, there's also the wendigo and the skinwalker which are DEFINITELY popular. Weird atmospheric (as in the actual atmosphere) creatures like rods/skyfish were in JoJo and people talk about 'em a lot too especially in 'murica. There are definitely a lot of American cryptids.

bruh i lived in the town where that iconic video was taken, and the town LEGIT made bigfoot their entire thing. not complaining, it was pretty homely, and the festival they held every year was great haha. but that vid led to a lot of tourism in our area so it transformed our entire town. crazy how a video like that can inspire so much change

I've never seen bigfoot but I did see a tweeker in a werewolf costume in the woods outside Kelowna. It was magical and a little uncomfortable cuz Halloween wasn't in February.

Mountain Monsters is great for more stuff like this, it's a bit more structured because it's a show and not RU-vid stuff but it's great cause it's a bunch of dudes running around the Appalachian mountain area looking for cryptids!

Story time: In september of 2023, my significant other and I live in a town that absolutely loves bigfoot (What small rural American town doesn't?). My town holds a yearly bigfoot festival and for this year's event my partner and I thought it'd be funny to take a gummy and laugh there. We got tickets and we found out this British bloke who was a "world-renowned bigfoot hunter" was holding a presentation. Not only did this man say there were Dinosaurs in the Congo, but said he had seen and almost was killed by Nessie. Well, durring his presentation about bigfoot there was almost no mention of the creature in his four hours of yapping. He said "I was in peril and almost died (insert place" almost five different times and never elaborated. My girlfriend and I were laughing the whole time, but everyone else stayed and were glaring at us lol. With them being so serious about bigfoot at the end only key events that happend were a question by this one lady who asked the speaker" Uhmm, do you know in what way and how bigfoot interacts with water????" and a guy who was pulled out of the room because the cops came for leaving his chihuahua in the car. The dog we found out was keeled over half dead because the guy thought the bigfoot speach was more important. Rural America can be the shitshow you think it is, especially in the midwest.

My favourite big foot theory is that they are ATVs being controlled by tiny aliens inside them, a la men in black (1997)

There's only ever been 1 Bigfoot video I've seen that seems somewhat believable. It was sitting there ripping apart a tree trunk for what im guessin bugs to eat. Anyways it was the fact it was just ripping apart layers of the tree with complete ease. Given maybe they got some Mr. Olympian in a suit strong enough to pull apart a tree in layers but idk.

As much as I love Big Foot and Mothman, if there is any real cryptid I hope in my heart it's the Fresno Nightcrawler. Not because it's any more compelling than the other cryptids, but because it would be SO FUNNY lmao. I love them, they're just little pants that walk. My grandmother saw something in the woods last year. She asked me what it could have been when she returned and brought it up. She was returning from Washington state by train. She said she saw something crouched as if pooping or picking something stand up as soon as the train passed. She said it just watched and moved behind a tree, had alot of hair. I told her it was a bear and when i showed her some bear pictures she simply got quiet and said she wasnt sure, the face wasnt the same. We havent spoken about it since but she got really silent that day and changed the topic after. But i am 90% sure it was just a black bear.
