To compare Mahomes to Burrow, you’d have to also take into account that Mahomes was thrown into an elite team with elite coaches and Burrow had to work with one of the most inconsistent and outright bad teams in the NFL with a new head coach.

All else aside… the first time he escaped what would have been a sack on any other QB in the history of football, fans knew it was different this time. Pocket presence is everything. It’s especially important when your line plays at a 3rd grade level. Lots of WBs can throw a football but it’s very rare to see a person literally react as if he has eyes on all sides of his head. This is talent is not mentioned enough.

We need to be sure to get have home field in 2023 to counter Goodell's influencing the officiating.

I agree with most of it except 1 thing. You made a point to say burrow played a handful of games in first year before giving stats. Then also included a season mahomes played 1 game with backups

I think this last year it was the Bills game that was unfinished that put the Bengals in a deficit to accomplishing the win against KC in the championship but that is only my opinion. Comparing the two is apples to oranges. Mahomes is infinitely more athletic. Let's just compare one stat that might change your perspective. Burrow has played in less than half the games as Mahomes yet he's taken three more sacks for his career. Mahomes set the single season yardage record without a true number one receiver. Mahomes won a Super Bowl without a single 1,000 yard rusher. Mahomes won a Super Bowl with a defense that had a -3 turnover differential. Mahomes ran for 350 yards this year and the Chiefs have no designed quarterback runs in their play book. The Bengals have better weapons. The Bengals had a sneaky good defense that didn't allow a single 100 yard rusher or 300 yard passer. Mahomes doesn't have any receiver that he can throw up jump balls into double coverage. It's kinda easy to get lost in the numbers but Mahomes is a better athlete, has a better arm and insane vision to make plays out of absolute chaos. Maybe the Chiefs had a better offensive line but I can't ignore how many times Mahomes' athletic ability and eyes in the back of his head gave him the opportunity to make plays that were not there. I'm not saying that Burrow isn't good but he's not Mahomes

Biggest difference and most important one: Burrow has played with one of the WORST OLs in the league. Imagine if the Bengals had at least a marginal OL.

If the Bengals have Chase healthy for a full year and Higgins keeps up what he does, the Bengals may get to another Super Bowl. When you have success like K.C. has, many times your team loses coaches, players, etc. and that can make things very difficult when you try to repeat. There is also Buffalo to think about. The AFC is tough and there is some great quarterback talent that's trying to beat each other out. We should see some really great games in 2023. Hopefully, Joe Cool wins at least one Super Bowl, if not a couple.

Burrow is good but he’s not as talented as Mahomes. and let’s not talk about how Burrow has better players on his team than the chiefs. Mahomes doesn’t need the best WR’s to make the Super Bowl and win, he already proved that after we lost tyreek and won this year. I think Burrow is better. Here is why. Andy Reid had already been playoffs with Alex Smith. KC was not a bad team, and a great organization. The Bengals have been dumpster fire since Marvin Lewis was there. He could never even win one playoff game. Joe Burrow takes the Bengals a franchise akin to the Lions and Browns, perpetually bad...to a Superbowl.

Well here in Cincy we know exactly just what we have and there isn’t anyone that could convince me we don’t have the best QB in the game , still playing. Everyone knows we beat the Rams in the SB. I’m not even going to speak about the fake hold they called on Logan Wilson to seal the deal for the home team. So it seems that they rig that game and it looks like now they rig the entire post season. So I don’t put a lot of stock anymore into them games unfortunately. To be honest I love videos like this that make it sound like he is lesser than. Joe is cool as hell but people must be really sleeping on him if they don’t realize the guy is a straight killer and plays with a chip on his shoulder the way it is. He won’t say it , maybe he will but he has that fire that burns deep in his soul to win. He is the real deal and we are so blessed here in Cincinnati to have this guy rep for us! He carries this team on his shoulder’s proudly and he knows the odds will always be stacked against him here.
