I’m curious what you think would be the best way to balance Storm Stomp. I’m partial to dropping the hyper armor. There are plenty more ashes of war that deserve it over Storm Stomp. Even if you do hit-trade with your opponent, the lasting hitbox should still allow you to lose your hitstun before your opponent loses theirs, putting you in a very slightly more advantaged state right out of both of your hitstuns. This removes the ability to play entirely reactively with it, you’ll have to play predictively if you want to land the stomp. Balanced and still a good panic-control option, but no more face-tanking. I’d also like to add, this change would not affect the Ash of War description, as it mentions nothing about poise or withstanding attacks while using it. It’s a lore-friendly change too. How would you change it?
@Rexis102 Yes, they "decreased the poise generation speed" in 1.12. I feel like they could have gone a little harder on it, but it's a big improvement from where it was.
Even if it's not a panic roll, the startup is so wonky it's a mixup that throws off roll timing. I see good players that are better than me get mixed by it all the time. I know you can delay your roll, but say it's a fast weapon like psss, it's gonna be a tough call either way unless you're ultra dialed in. And we all know you can't be dialed in like that all the time. Just the active frames and startup alone make it good enough, even if it didn't have ha I'd still use it on that alone

what's the benefit of using claymore instead of zweihander (besides weight) as a main weapon in invasions? from your vids I see you use it basically like a storm stomp zei but you deal like 200 les damage per R2
