@@fishpants7764 When you get your driver's license keep a clean driving record no tickets or accidents. Also get at least three years of work experience that the bear to get hired on by a mega carrier. Me I went to Prime .inc to get my cdl. It will only cost you $250.00 to get your training as opposed to pay $7000.00 at a trucking school.

@@fishpants7764 don’t bother with long haul trucking and big mega fleets like prime or swift or knight or cr England they will make you sign a contract to work for them in exchange for helping you get a cdl then pay you pennies just enough to keep you around but not enough to make life on the road worth it. Go to a local technical school or cdl school most offer monthly payments for example I paid $500 down then $250 a month for 1 year. The course was 4 weeks long at the end I had my license. Find a small company close to you that runs regionally and will get you home every weekend so you can actually have a life outside of work, even if they say the want experienced drivers most will hire you with no experience and train you. Me for example live in Eugene Oregon and run from home to Salt Lake City Utah twice a week I’m home Wednesday night and Friday night Saturday and Sunday. I make $1500 a week plus health insurance and retirement benefits. Don’t go work for some big mega fleet that won’t treat you what you’re worth drivers are in high demand never forget that if they aren’t offering at least .47 cents per mile don’t bother and don’t fall for a lease purchase scheme. You’ll just be paying off the truck for your boss.

I wrench on Freightliners (mostly these Cascadias) for a living and just did a trip in this beast in-game. I'm impressed at how accurate the interior is, how the turn signals sound authentic and the ICU is just like the real thing! Just looking at those leather seats makes me think of how they'll split along the seams after around a year of use, haha.

I had a 2018 Cascadia, drove OTR for 2 years. Loved that truck. Had a 2016 before that and loved that too!! 2018 ran a lot better in extremely cold weather especially Utah, Wyoming and Idaho. Keep up the great content ✌🏽

Man, that is a beautiful truck. The Mack has been my favorite since that came out. This might just give it a run for its money. Talking about getting excited about video game graphics: When GTA V first came out, I stood on the beach and watched the ocean for 10 minutes. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen in a video game at the time and I was absolutely gobsmacked about it.

As someone who has driven a 2020 Cascadia in RL.. this truck is pretty much dead on. Huge props to SCS for this one. Makes me sad when I go to work and get in my 2016 Casadia Day cab.. Freightliner in a whole has done so much to their trucks in the last few years, to make them a drivers truck. From heated and cooled seats to a very smooth ride.

The maneuver you are performing is generally called "alley docking" I hated doing it in CDL school but it was required, also it was possible that it would pop up in the DCL exam at the DMV so you had to do be able to do that along with parallel parking both blind and drivers side, always fan favorites.

I was driving on the 401 through Toronto today, and naturally truckwatching, as the whole driving thing is pretty slow on the 401. Saw a few Cascadias (both this new gen and last gen) and got myself all excited for when I got home to play with one in ATS!

You say you wiggle the trailer back and forward, don't be afraid to do that. I do it my self as an experienced driver to make sure its straight. Never be afraid to correct your mistakes even if it takes a few times. And the Cascadia looks pretty on point!!!

Oh snow mods back! The Train horn is great. A bus pulled out a red light trying to switch lanes so at first I used the little car horn then went straight the big train horn. Safe to say he heard me coming!

I used to drive a 19 cascadia doing heavy haul hauling coils. Up to 80,000 lbs on the trailer itself. 120,000 gross on a tri axle conestoga. Handled beautifully.

As a trucker who drives this model truck, I personally think it looks amazing!! But the damn thing rides like hell! I have a fully upgraded truck, heated/cooled seats, keyless entry, etc and it still doesn't even come close to the ride you can expect from any other brand! Holy shit sounds authentic I work for a Freightliner Dealership and I can tell you that sounds awesome and authentic we have 9 brand new cascadias with X15s and 10 speed manual and that’s how it sounds when you start up and rev them

11:50 The command to change the traffic is g_traffic then depending on how much traffic you want to see you add a number from 0 to 10. (ex. g_traffic 2) Hope that helps, man that Cascadia fits in ATS just nicely. Very nice to see snow videos again Jeff!!

I drive for OD and our policy is flashers on when at the terminals. As for flashers on when driving, I give it 20 mph difference unless otherwise posted. Driving a 2019 cascadia X15 day cab today, wiggle wagons all day every day.
