I can highly recommend the surveyor who conducted this survey. It was Mr John Sharrat of Sterling Global Marine Ltd. www.sgsurvey.com If you speak with either John or Ian please give them my best regards.
Hi Clive. To be honest I'm a little confused. Do you mean this is different to the Princess V40 you purchased in the earlier video's? If it is, then may I ask what you mean by you lost it? Sorry for being nosey.
This is a bit of a very long story. I originally purchased a brand new Princess V40 direct from Princess Motor Yacht Sales and had it shipped direct to Mallorca. Unfortunately, when the boat arrived on the cargo vessel in Palma it had over 30 tons of saltwater inside the boat. I had a lengthy massive fight with the insurers and my legal costs were enormous. However the insurer eventually settled at a much lower figure which I had to accept as I had lost the heart for going into arbitration and another £600k in legal fees. So, I bought another V40 this time pre-owned as I could no longer afford to buy a new one!
My goodness that is terrible. You and your wife must of been so disappointed. Was it a problem with the boat or the shipping company or I can understand if you don't want to answer that. Anyway the replacement boat is gorgeous and I am very, very envious. Enjoy. Mike
@michaelnash9644 The shipping company. However, the marine insurers were terrible. I now know that nearly all the very large claims against them end up in court. It would appear to be their strategy.
@michaelnash9644 my regular insurers have never been a problem. I had some damage on a previous boat from hire craft and it was done and dusted efficiently. It was the marine carriage insurer that be came a massive problem.
