What’s nice to see, 22 years fast forwarded, is the family moments. I’m sure QB Clay KuKlick loves looking back at the moments with his Dad, who passed away I believe a couple years ago. Also Hikee’s mother so proud of him after that Norristown game. Good stuff
i played for Norristown…we beat North Penn 31-13 the year before…i was the one Hikee was saying was dancing all on their field 😂😂 good times…graduated in 99…they came back for the 99 season and beat Norristown…our kicker missed the game winning field goal…smh he’s a country singer now lol Matt Spitko
This is where QB1 and Last Chance U started. This thing is 20 damn years old, still awesome, and I can't believe ESPN has basically never re-broadcast it and hasn't added it to their streaming services. This would have such a great home on ESPN+ or something. They need to do a 20 Years Later - Where Are They Now kinda thing, and then ESPN needs to start doing this again a la the Netflix series I mentioned above. @Chris Dudley - thank you so much for having this. I've wanted to see it again for so many years, finally found it!
Dick Beck became head coach at North Penn in 2003 and led the Knights to the state championship that year. The Knights have won seven district titles and returned to the state championship in 2011, losing to Central Dauphin High School. Beck earned his 200th win against CB East in 2020. Not profiled in the documentary, but LB Dan Chang served as an assistant under Dick Beck and later became head coach at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School in 2009. He still holds that position today. Clay Kuklick played college baseball in Kutztown, PA, and works in Colorado as a sports conditioning specialist. He also played a couple years of independent baseball. Joe Talese is a personal trainer. Hikee Johnson played football in West Virginia and currently lives in Northern Virginia. Chris McKelvy graduated from Penn State and is a technology consultant in Pittsburgh. Mike Mohr served in the Army and currently works for Accenture.
Fun fact - 18:38 "Stefanski" is current Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. So we've got former Browns head coach Mike Pettine Jr (2014-15) coaching one team and the current Browns head coach playing QB for the other lol
my man, thanks! used to watch this in middle school.. they were about 5-7 years older and I ended up being coached by about 5 of the coaches in this doc in HS!
@@hikeejohnson7873 thee Hikee? Man, I was coached by Kuklick in 03 at Wissahickon. Between this and the CB West doc, you and Picciotti were my fav HS players. had both documentaries on VHS lol
Man.. at the time, I wasn't even into HS football but I think I heard the team was good... and I see I missed going to a LOT of games. This was intense! Shucks, I just attended the basketball games smh.. but being fair to myself, I graduated NP the year prior. 🤷. Coulda still attended a game or two, I guess.
Yep! I remember seeing of DC for the Jets when they were on hard knocks I was like "Wait a minute that coach looks familiar." and found a photo of him and his dad then the Documentary "The Last Game"
@@dchang11 Who was that exactly? On a related note, ever wonder why the shoulder, knee and thigh pads are significantly smaller these days compared to 20+ years ago?
I remember how rough practices were when I was in high school. Hot as hell, humid and downright fucking exhausting but I guess that's pretty typical for Texas summers.
