As someone who finds drops unreasonably funny (I wish I knew why), Gravedigger's comedic timing continues to make me laugh even on the worst days. I'm so, so happy this show exists and you guys are still here. I've been listening since 2017 and it's hard to explain how much a part of my life your work has been. Thank you! And I love the videos! They're excellent
No expert, but I think you're supposed to present your motion ("Fork the Raiders"), get a second, and if you get a second, then you can all discuss it The point of the second is to make sure no single person can waste everyone's time with bullshit motions like "Fork the Chiefs" or "Fork the 1939 Chicago Cardinals" or "Fork the concept of forking" No one can do that if they don't know what the motion is first
Marc on an heater today! Comping the Dan's NY fandom to watching the challenger explode live on air with children had me deceased. Then he's shooting listeners with a bow and arrow 😂 protect this man at all costs
You can say what you will about the drops as I do think it's quite subjective as to whether you like that amount of 'em in a podcast...but Justin to me has eeexcellent comedic timing with them 9/10 times :D
Respectfully, you guys were tepid as hell with these forkings. Didn’t fork the Cowboys, or the Bengals, or even the Jets. What’s the point of the segment if you’re not gonna take risks?😭
First, mazel tov to Graver on working hard to kick cigarettes. I'm sure you've been told something similar a hundred times, but I've known two wonderful people die from smoking because they didn't or couldn't quit. Some people are lucky, but for most it's hard as hell to kick the habit and feels lousy for a while. I hope FutureJustin and FutureYessica appreciate what you're going through for them! Second, these are three wonderful charities and I like the new rule about donating if you veto a team who fails to make the playoffs. Fork is one of the best segments because it gives a little something to root for with the [seemingly] lousiest teams. I'm surprised both the Browns and Jets survived a forking. Jets have an easy schedule, I suppose, but the Browns have zero chance. Jameis Winston is not a mystery and it sounded like the argument against forking is that it'd be neat if they made the playoffs again. That's a terrible argument in a scientific journal, but a perfectly viable one in a court of law. Objection overruled. The judge will have to allow it. Third, lots of fun moments like Dameshek as the voice of Stick a fork in them!, Orr getting interrupted for the fir-- the GGGGGGG meeeeeeen ahhh-- st time by Graver , and Marc pointing out his Bengals curious power rank vs fork rank discrepancy. This was better than sudafed for my cold!
Tugboat vetoing the fork of the Cowboys was malfeces! But that is not the worst. Jets? JETS? JETS!? That was a huge steaming pile of malfeces! They are the NFLs equivalent of Hoobastank and they are 100% forkable!
Was so glad to see the segment back...and then you guys squandered it by not forking anyone! There shouldn't have been a veto. And the Saints didn't even come up. The Heroes go soft in a big spot!
I’ll be the person to say, you never say “all against say nay” via Robert’s Rules of Order, you say “all opposed same sign” to determine support or opposition for a motion. With that…I support Connor’s motion of the Cowboys.
Connor is the perfect foil for these two heroes. Here to have a good time and spit some hot takes - Jets will undoubtedly go down to a 50 burger from the Texans on TNF.
Poor Tugboat …his team makes the friggin World Series and he’s crying poor. Sheesh must be hard following the juggernaut team that has won the most World Series in the last 30 years. In other news.. great ep! Graver wrecking shop with the drops, love it! 😂😂
Love your show, but saving the Jets greatly diminishes your credibility. Dan Hanzus deserves great credit for putting his fan love (which we all share for our teams) aside for a rational look at this season. The Jets cannot improve until it sees its problems.
I feel like Dan's veto of the cowboys kind of contradicts why he wants the Jets forked... I feel both teams deserved the forking, Cowboys are ass and they were ass even when Parsons was on the field. The entire situation there is toxic af, with everybody playing/coaching for a contract. Similarly the Jets have been ass and they have a toxic situation going on.
Most Saints fans have already Forked the team. Even if we win vs the Panthers Sunday expect a lot of no shows for the home game against our hated rivals next. And that may convince the powers that be...aka Gayle Benson and Mickey Mouse Loomis, that something needs to be done. We usually are all hyped up when the dirty birds come to our house but expect a lack luster crowd in the dome and I think the former mentioned idiots may get the message
