I love the character of Sense. She is so mindfully written as detached from everything as she such a powerful 1st class mage. It fits her thinking so on point that the task, may it be pacifistic, is near impossible, to clear a dungeon Adventurers for centuries did not manage to do. What possible could go wrong.

All Denken's group needs to do is bring out some Mimics and the copy Frieren would lose in a heartbeat...

They stopped JUST before what is presumably gonna be an amazing fight

SL just needs to get rolling sadly with the 12 episodes while we had now picked up steam with the 6th will soon hault. It won't be Frieren and it's the same for me I'm also looking forward to each friday Frieren episode.

Didn't think about it till now but doppelgänger would fit the best as a lot of german words are incorporated in Frieren, from names to locations and spells even if they sometimes don't seem to make perfect sense.

Yeah Wirbel gave the whole backstory to which he had to fight children in war, so it makes sense

If I had to guess Frieren and Fern are maybe going to fight Sense or Fern copies, who knows though

@@bluestReacts That could be pretty nice. from the golem hand out I would assume her magic is controlling her own hair. Which depending on how far that goes can be pretty busted (there are some really interesting "hair" users in some anime though mostly ninja shows, and as such it is normaly more a matrial arts thing.

I strongly suspect that Sense knew all about this dungeon’s gimmick, and she entered it deliberately, with the intent that defeating her clone is a necessary requirement for passing. After all, if you can’t beat a First Class Mage in battle even when you get to work together as a team, you’re not First Class Mage material.

Just within this episodes are so many suberversions it is fun how the author lead readers/watchers astray.

@@alecLogan Except because of the random teams format, you could literally get carried away without doing anything or even losing in combat. Like Wirbel's teammates wouldn't pass if they weren't part of his team, because only he was able to capture Stille. It's very possible the asshole dude and Methode carried her to the second stage.

@@Nevri. The thing with that is, the whole ‘combat’ section of that last couple of hours, where Stilles were taken from those less capable. Even Wirbel capturing a Stille came down to “luck” in finding one _to_ capture. In this one’s case, she made it through (whether by luck or intent), and she just happened to get unlucky ‘here.’ Not a matter of “not being able to handle oneself,” but of a roll of the dice that didn’t pan out. Everyone whose rank has been noted present, has been around third or second* rank. Fern in particular is the youngest of third to make it with full marks. Everyone present is a ‘capable’ mage, just, not necessarily first class.

It's just that she was clearly used as a scapegoat to showcase how golems work, which isn't necessary bad, but she literally did nothing entire fight and then when gargoyle randomly shoot at her, she failed to block a attack everyone else was shown to block easily, painting her as someone on much skill lower level. She might just be a very specialized mage and not that good in combat/not good with defense magic in particular, which is still kinda bad in terms for her general survivability as a mage.

Ah ok, so we've just been shown the proctors so far, but there's more out there

45 actually. It was said in episode 18. When first class mages are mention for the first time we see a shot with 7 silhouettes including Serie, so there's at least 6 first class mages that are part of Continental Magic Association.
