I enjoy the simplicity. Great job Jordan and Casey. I have done very similar work in my garage to connect my isolated workshop to be part of my garage and convert it to a lab. I cut a small thin door into the wall. It's just to have access to the other world.
This feels so freaking nostalgic. Almost like the world is healing. Everything is right. Casey is back in the city. His studio is back. All is right in the world. Idk how to explain it, but the thought is just so comforting.
@@nettlesomereflexion That makes you sound very bitter. I mean yeah money probably helps but he got his success by making videos like this. The guy is inspiring.
Here's A Fun Fact: Casey's invisible cameraman never gets any credit for his/her stunning camera shots. Especially when Casey shuts the doors on that poor guy.🤣
Literally AAA documentary level film making for a door. Casey is back, making the mundane for most into some of the most entertaining content on the internet.
when you have that much money, time, and expensive equipment you can very easily afford to spend that much effort on something so mundane. Other people have more important things to focus on
no its not AAA documentary level lol.. it's great vlog style and I like it but nowhere near documentary levels lol. Just on youtube there are tens of better video makers, you guys need to stop
Gotta love classic 'Casey solves little problems around the studio' videos. Its the perfect and most whole way to have a full story in 7 minutes. Hats off, kind sir.
What's abundantly clear is that LA=Relaxation and NYC=Creativity for Casey. He is back inspired, creating and enjoying the world around him and we all get to indulge in amazing content. Thank you sir
it's clear that the majority of those who know him are just excited by seeing him back in new york, back in his studio. He can do anything, and people just love that combination. He's made for the super creative, fast paced type environment. That seems to be his winning formula
I love how after so many years of filming in and around this space, he still finds a such a creative new shot for the intro to the video. Mad respect, Casey!
Do you guys even know about story telling?! Or is it just a thing to repeat over and over again? I mean, Caseys Videos are great. I really love him. But everytime the same bla bla comments. 🤷🏻♂️😀
@@eiiier if this was your reply, do YOU even know what storytelling is? He's arguably the greatest short-form video storyteller on the entire platform and this video was a perfect example of it lol. Matters not what others are saying, when I watch his videos all I can think about is how he's genuinely the goat at what he does.
@@eiiier Exactly. The "Bike lines" video for example was a story, this video is just cool (can't deny that) video editing. The sum of plot here is "we made a door"... Sorry to be negative, but this mindless worshipping is so annoying
@Vanilla Latte it's the pacing that's changed the most! go watch an older vlog and see how quickly the shots are shown now compared to then! It's still classic Casey, but updated for the modern times with lower attention spans :)
@@vmonty video editing IS storytelling, silly! That's where the story truly comes together. You'd know this if you created videos yourself. What you just watched isn't just "a cool edit", but rather a perfect 3 act narrative. And you're fooling yourself if you think I mindlessly worship him lol, I'm just admiring his world class skillset. Be well and get in the arena, G.
The amount of camera angles Casey uses to just walk out of one building and into another is astonishing. Like he has to walk out set it up and pretend to walk out again, for every single shot. Madness
All the little things casey adds to his videos, like this room being foreshadowed in the previous video and then showing Dan in this video and those camera angles are such a delight.
The feeling of nostalgia, and the happiness of how normal of everything coming back together at Casey’s studio is so gratifying. I’m so excited to see how the studio is becoming how it once was 🙌🏼
I'm a young leady 27 year's old and my father husband all the left me and now I'm surviveing door to door with my little baby no sky no earth۔۔۔۔۔۔۔be strong
I don’t know if it’s the music, the style of editing, or the aesthetic to his videos, but something about Casey’s style keeps me coming back. 11 years later and I still get excited like the little kid I used to be when he uploads. I’m glad you’re back Casey.
i think because most of the viewers have a passion for art; whatever the medium: filmmaking, fashion, tech ect the consistency of his storytelling style has stayed the same all these years and is relatable, nothing big budget, standard off the shelf camera and the flow of sequences is what's captivating atleast for me to return and draw inspiration
Your videos are like coming home. To better times. Before all the bullsh** in this world happened. It gives me a little moment of peace. Thank you for that Casey ❤️

My life feels that bit brighter knowing there’s a Casey upload always on the horizon. Unmatched vibes.
Long time Casey fan. I've recently started my journey at 30 years old of studying digital media production full time. Resigned from my job and putting all my time and effort into improving as a person and learning things i'm passionate about. Casey is a true inspiration is so many ways. Looking forward to learning and gaining invaluable hands on knowledge
Old School Casey Neistat vlog. It's so freaking amazing having this back. It makes me so happy and reminds me of the good old times. I was 15-16 when I started watching, now I'm 22. This reminded me how much Casey inspired me when I was a teen, and now I feel reisnpired to just make stuff. I love this.
it's really incredible how you make a video about building a door be so much fun to watch. i never get tired of watching you Casey. keep up the good work. you're such an inspiration.
Just found this channel and I love it, anyone who loves NYC as much as I do is a kindred spirit and besides that he is funny. I worked in the Village for 24 years and its the greatest neighborhood in the world to work in.
It absolutely warms my heart to see Casey back in New York and making these videos again. Seeing old studio again, the boosted rides, and even seeing Dan Mace back in the mix. THANK YOU FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO!
Dude I cannot tell you how much I missed you stuff from NYC. I'm originally from Bklny myself and your posts just reminds me of the things I love about the City Of New York. Just like you ,it is a place where anything at any time there is something interesting going on. welcome back bro. it's great to see your Makeing Videos back in the NYC.
The feel of your videos are so nostalgic, I love that you’re back in the city just doing random fun adventures again. I saw you playing free music in the subway in Dan’s vid. It’s good to have you back in NYC Casey
Love seeing you back in NYC. Like, somehow, everything in the world 🌎 is going to be alright. It’s like you’re back where u were meant to be all this time!! 😊
Casey. Welcome back to NYC and back to your studio. Can't believe it's been three years. I know the layout of your studio so well, I feel like I've been inside. Your channel, your way of seeing the world and solving problems and your studio have been a huge inspiration for me to keep moving and improving. Thanks for coming back.
The funnest thing about the "secret door" is how happy it make you! It's fun to watch! There's a specific German word for all types of satisfaction. We know this from books on revenge and VW commercials. Surely there's one for secret doors.
I absolutely love the joy with which Casey lives, it really translates into his work, or maybe the joy his work brings him translates to how he lives. Idk, regardless it’s a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing this with us Casey!
Just wanted to say Casey, I’ve only been following for about 2-3yrs, and I love the style of videos and your message, I’m so glad that I see you back at “your home” and the videos are flowing like wine yet again! I’m in Oklahoma and nothing feels better than being home. Not to sound condescending but I’m proud of you for the life decisions you’ve made for the betterment of your family…they’re not easy! Godspeed Casey, you’re a good man.
I remember watching my first Casey video because everyone was talking about him, being like "ok that's kind of cool I guess", then I saw the studio and was instantly memorized. Second only to Marlan as my favorite character in Casey videos. Glad to see its triumphant return.
