Not sure if he was a "prominent" one. He was elected during what someone may call a polish times of trouble: recent wars with Sweden and Russia devastated Poland massively, he wasn't supported by the richest and most powerful nobles, and on top of that the Ottomans went to war with Commonwealth right after his coronation. Funny thing, his successor John III and his supporters went so far as to oppose funding for the army in parliament which caused polish defeat against the Ottomans, and ultimately led to Commonwealth becoming a tributary state/vassal of the Ottomans for like 5 years. As far as i see this, he was unlucky with the timing of his kingship and he didn't really had a chance to prove himself

@@krasnallom Poznan is the center of the Greater Poland region, and it was where the Duchy of Poland under Miezko coalesced. It was just eclipsed by Gniezow, and then Krakow and Warsaw. I know what you are thinking since it was well over a thousand years ago.

How did you do it?

@@gugfitufi4862 I allied electors. This is not hard, France is strong so you can make aliance with Saxony and Brandenburg even if they are rivals to each other. Then wait to became emperor. Try to protect Imperial land (attack Denmark, if there is unlawfull teritorry use the CB - you actually want nations to refuse it, then you attack them and make them and their allies release other states.) Getting British isles is very important, especially Ireland. You can add province to empire if it shares sea tile with imperial province (if you own Calais, you can add provinces in england that share sea tile). Then you must snake your way up to Ireland (release Wales, Cornwall and Northumberland in peacedeals in the process. You also want to let England live with just 2 or 3 provinces. After certain HRE reforem you get the CB to expand empire - use it. You can actually see your valid CB's in the ledger in "relations" - there will be list of nations you can use that CB on. Hardest thing is to get IA to grow, that means you must destroy reformation. Stop your expansion at around 1490, let the AE disappear. Then no-CB nation that has center of reformation (only if they are OPM) if not, ally their rival, call them into the war, reduce it to one province and force convert it in next war. The best thing to do is to improve relations with ALL HRE members. If they like you, they will support you during Imperial incident. This way I managed to keep Italy in empire and also got pope to join. After reformation is crushed, it is time to attack big states (Poland, Ottomans...) and make them release states. Then use expand empire CB and repeat the process. -Note that being France and also emperor almost guarantees you to get Burgundy as PU and later on integrace them via event. So you will be poweruful enough to enforce your will in HRE. I also reccomend you to be ally with Castile/Spain. -Last thing is that if you used all CBs and you have for example 94 nations in HRE (you need 100), then you can release some vassals from your lands or betray your allies and use their releseable nations. (Sorry that this is so long and if there are any errors, English is not my first language). I wish you good luck!

Yeah I think they coded it so the AI is more aggressive and tries to own all of their culture group provinces

@@orlandogreenhow2870 i feel like they keep making the game tougher for all the experts & youtubers but dont think of the noobs..id like to see options for turning difficulty things off separately like in 7 days to die.. ai aggressiveness, cheatiness on sieges, on 7 days to die there are the normal difficulty settings but then you can turn off running zombies or feral sense etc.. it would be nice to customise difficulty.. maybe you like certian aspects being hard but dont want the ai to magically know when ur sending troops from 3000 miles away or something
