For me, it's a ribeye over lump charcoal and a hunk of pecan or mesquite in the Weber. Oil, salt, and pepper on the steak (sometimes a marinating in Dale's sauce for a few hours). Nothing fancy but an amazing steak.

it actually is dairy free! he is using non-dairy cream cheese in this recipe (otherwise it wouldn't be kosher- all kosher meat recipes are totally dairy free). there are several companies that make it based on different ingredients.

Funny how many haters are commenting... over a steak. Guess what, if you disagree with the method, the ingredients, or you like your steak grilled medium rare with just salt and pepper, stay home and cook it the way you like it, or go to your favorite restaurant that cooks your steak EXACTLY the way YOU like it. This video wasn't MAKING you eat that steak they were cooking. I like mine aged, then lightly smoked, then grilled with salt and pepper to a perfect med-rare, but I would still love to try this steak to experience the different flavors, and maybe find something new that I like... or I could be like you knuckleheads, and moan and groan about some food you'll never eat

What's with leaving all of those stove burners on when they aren't being used?
@animalmother556x45
@animalmother556x45 6 лет назад
Jim Pimmers Ovens are obviously a different story, as they need time to preheat....but these industrial stoves are lit with a pilot light rather than the elctric ignition common in homes. These industrial ones (which I have used a lot in different jobs) literally light in like .25 seconds. It just seems wasteful I guess. A quick flick of the wrist when you need to turn one to high was never a problem at places I was working.
@jimpimmers5387
@jimpimmers5387 6 лет назад
In a restaurant kitchen they're cooking nonstop during service so why would they be turning them on and off?
@animalmother556x45
@animalmother556x45 6 лет назад
Jim Pimmers I think you are missing my point. In this specific video...the stove they are filming at is not being used by anyone else. AND this kitchen doesn't appear to be in "service mode" while they shot the video. Yet, unused burners are still going full blast. Again, it just seems wasteful.
@animalmother556x45
@animalmother556x45 6 лет назад
Jim Pimmers People can say "gas is cheap" all they want...but as a small business owner myself, I would bet the owner would be surprised to see a bill for "wasted" gas from these burners throughout a year.

I love it when purists complain about adding flavors to food. Let's keep going with this! Who needs vanilla or strawberries in their ice cream? Pure tiny, shaved crystals of a good cream is all you need! Why add basil or garlic to tomatoes for a sauce? If you've got good tomatoes you shouldn't need anything else! Half the fun of cooking is playing with flavors (the other half is creating something good!).

@user-qw3hj3uh5n 7 лет назад
yup that's correct! one of the main rules of kosher is that meat and dairy can't be eaten together. imitation dairy is made out of soy or other plant based products and since it's not actually made of milk, doesn't matter if it's sold under a "imitation cream cheese" label since what matters for kosher status is what is actually in the product. For more info on kosher check out www.kosher.com/whatiskosher

In a couple verses in Exodus and Deuteronomy it says "Do not cook a kid in its mother's milk." Jewish rabbinic law explains that this is a prohibition against eating milk and meat together.

Searing or using bread crumb does not hold the juice in any better then without. All it does is create a better flavor. If you want it to be juicy, do not over cook it and let the meat set around 10 minutes before serving.

Kosherdotcom this explains why the kosher food industry is so unhealthy. Imitation everything. It's a horrible diet. I'm kosher and I don't use any imitations in my cooking and don't use a majority of the products on the shelf because looking at the community, the food is poison. I'd rather real milk if I'm making the dish than "imitation" at least it's natural for my body and not processed junk. The kosher community needs a revision. So much craziness going on I feel

Interesting video but I struggle with the Noo Yoik (and Noo Joizey) accent and pronunciations. For a start, shallot is not pronounced 'shAllot', it is pronounced 'shallOt' (emphasis on second syllable). Secondly he is not 'mincing' them; he is finely dicing them (as a mirepoix). Mincing is what you lot call 'grinding' (i.e 'ground beef' is actually minced beef). And why the hell is he grinding peppercorns with a plate? Has no one ever bought him a proper pepper mill?
