This Creamy Shrimp Pasta will quickly become a new weeknight dinner staple! Protein rich shrimp are pan seared then tossed with a creamy sauce that’s perfectly flavored with fresh garlic and rich parmesan. Ingredients!
1 teaspoon old bay
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup pepper jack cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoon butter
20 to 30 large shrimp
1 cup of pasta
1 1/2 half cup of heavy cream
1 olive oil
1/3 cup water

Made this last night, and it was amazing! A little tip though is that when she adds about 1/4 cup of water to the sauce, I actually used some of the pasta water and I added it to the bowl to get the remaining spices from the shrimp, and then I added it to the final sauce. It adds a natural thickener because of the starch from the pasta so it was even creamier!

Yes that’s a great idea! The cook drained the water and rinsed it with cold water, but not rinsing it keeps the starch on it and that, combined with pasta water, helps the sauce stick to the pasta!

I just made this tonight and let me tell you, it was soooooooo delicious! I couldn’t find old bay so I used “slap yo mama seasoning” and a small pack of “Cajuns Choice - Cajun shrimp seasoning”. I didn’t add parsley since the mix already came with it. I also used angel hair for the pasta and I used 1.5 lbs of shrimp and 2 cups of heavy cream. This fed 4 - 5 people. My husband is in love with this dish

Just made this. SoOoO gooooood!! I just added chopped red bell pepper. We tried a bunch of your recipes lately and none of them disappointed! I made it today. Still wasn't sure about where to add the pepper jack cheese, but I just added it with the parmesan. I cook on Wednesday nights for my daughter, son-in-law, and my grandchildren to give them a break. I didn't realize my grandson had hockey practice tonight and he doesn't like to eat too close to practice. However, once he got started on this dish he might have overeaten a little. He said, Grandma, I am going to be sluggish at practice tonight. Then my son-in-law got his. (Back to him in a bit) My granddaughter then got hers. She said to her mom, Momma, you have to have this recipe. My daughter loved it as well, as did I. My grandson brought his plate to the sink and then my son-in-law got up and we thought he was taking his plate there as well. He was getting seconds! My grandson said, well, I am going to be sluggish at hockey tonight and late to practice because of Grandma's cooking! Thank you for an amazing dish and for contributing to an amazing meal with my family.

When making a pasta and shrimp dish I cook my shrimp for 45 seconds each side because when I toss them into the hot pasta in the end I notice they cook even more because the pasta is so hot. I found doing it this way guarantees my shrimp is cooked PERFECTLY every time. I hate cooking shrimp perfectly then having it overcook and turn chewy and rubbery after it gets added to the pasta.
