So amazingly easy and delicious. Nothing better and more satisfying than a perfectly fried grilled cheese toasty. I’m gonna have to try this crown version but oddly I’ve always used to make mine sprinkling a healthy handful of grated parm over the butter so it gets a really crunchy crust & i always would let the cheddar ooz out the sides and get crunchy I wasn’t too far from this version.
Interesting the "crown" part. I kinda do the same, and have been doing it for long time actually. I discovered the crispy cheese in a sandwich press and since then I put a slice on top of the bread before the flip each time I make a cheesy sandwich now. Glad to see I'm not the only one :D
I butter my bread on both sides but I then turn one crisp side up and put my cheese on that toasted side and top with the other toasted side making it toasted on both the inside and outside. They are fantastic and very melty inside.
You can make «cheese crisps» by adding cheese to a baking paper and microwave 2+ minutes until crispy also! They’re soooo good! I discovered them by accident when trying to make a simple microwave dish (potato slices with leaks/spring onions, topped with cheese and bacon or pepperoni strips). Don’t overdo the cooking, you don’t want real browning as it causes bitterness. Add to a paper towel to get rid of fat before eating. Don’t add salt, the cheese is more than salty enough! PS! Somehow cheese (and bacon/pepperoni) cooks as well in a microwave as in a pan on the stovetop or in the oven, it doesn’t only boil/steam as most other things… Well, personally I don’t make this anymore, as I am plant based now… 💚 🤗😋
@@stinalarsson7435 It's not about knowing more. You wouldn't normally use metal utensils on a Teflon pan. That being said, he is being careful, so it's not actually scratching it.
Many chef’s do and just see teflon pans as a disposable kitchen tool which you change often. I saw Gordon Ramsey show his latest, which I think he said cost him £8.99. Just get a cheap one and change it often.
@@stinalarsson7435 - That was actually rude. Discussion and sharing is what this place is for and I bet Jamie Oliver encourages comments and opinions. Just sayin’…🤗
@@nxthy6978 yes but its time consuming...people want quick delicious food in minutes...not spend half hour making a toastie that will only take 30 seconds to eat.
I'd pass on anything sweet going into this, so no mango sauce for me. And I'd be just a bit skeptical, just a little cautious with employing ketchup on such a sandwich as well. However, I'd be more at ease with that first sauce, the brown sauce. I might well like that. And if not, well, truthfully the sandwich already looks so good, I doubt I'd care if *any* condiments were used.
@@howardsz1502 That is what they say about what we do to their food too. It is like a mutual exchange of doing strange things to each others cultural dishes. However, it is often pretty tasty...
What’s that phobia called where you can’t stand the sound of people eating? I have that… so I’m never going to watch Jamie Oliver again. Which is unfortunate… dude probably has some solid recipes. His Perth restaurant is shite though.
Bloody hell, he’s getting paid to show you how to make shit cheese toasties 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️, whatever next 🤷♂️🤷♂️. I think even a 5 year old knows how to make cheese toasties, and probably better 🤣🤣
There the same have you Americans just lost your mind thinking that your made up language is correct the cheese toastie/grilled cheese originated in France so technically we both wrong about the name its a croque monsieur which is a cheese toastie/grilled cheese with ham so France made it
Kali Bee I never understand comments like this. Imagine someone going to your content and taking about how you look. Of course you have no content so you’re just rude by nature🙄
