The Secrets of Mr. Hopp's Playhouse 2 (All Endings / Medallions / Secret Stages) 

The shell ending is a reference to a Spongebob episode ;)

Imagine if Mr. Hop and his friends found Esther doing nothing because a shell told her to. Then they would ask the shell what to do with Esther. After the shell tells them to do nothing, they do as instructed and they all stay in the Shell room till the end of time.

The Magic Shell ending is a tribute to Spongebob Squarepants episode where the shell instructed them to do nothing and they sit there without doing nothing.

Esther: *Is so young yet so capable to use the 6 medallion-necklace to vanquish the evil with white magic* Ruby: *YOU BETTER RUN, OR YOU WILL FACE MY GUN*

The early escape ending is something I would do if I were stuck in her situation. Better to just get out of there and contact authorities about it. It also would in theory prevent the first game from happening since the entity would lose track of her and in turn Ruby.

The true ending has one connection with the early ending. “Smart girl”

Esther: * dark witchcraft and weird magic thing * Ruby: *AK 47*

Can we just take a second to appreciate Esther and all the crazy nonsense she went through? She literally risked her life for her friends 🥺💜

I love how Esther is just like,”haha silly rabbit! You will catch a cold just sitting there!”

I think its safe to assume that Esther was possessed when she gave Mr. Hopps to Ruby. Probably because she was too weak to fight back against them as a result of old age. I think that because of the recordings of the original game and its ending which suggested she was possessed.

I noticed the black enemies are the townsfolk who burned the girl

I dont care if it's not canon but ny favorite ending has to be the Joke Ending (Magic Conchshell Ending)

Esther: Fights demons with a magic necklace Ruby: G L O C K

The Shell Ending (alt. ending) “Can I leave the orphanage?” *”No.”*

Esther: Has to go suffer through obstacles while demon toys try to possess her Ruby: Slingshot as powerful as gun.

TIP: When your getting chased duck throughout the whole thing and if you jump it will still work. your saving a lot of time and make sure to jump with a little distance from the actual obstacle so you will rarely get hit

Esther: Has to traverse through an orphanage to overcome obstacles while avoiding demonic possessed toys trying to possess her for a powerful and evil entity, to find 6 medallions, traverse through the underworld, defeat one of the most POWERFUL entities and STILL eventually gets possessed by the entity later on in life. Ruby: *holding slingshot menacingly*

Let's appreciate how he kept playing the last medallion level until he got it and didn't give up

I think in the bad ending, Esther ends up going insane. Remember the line "I don't know what's real and isn't anymore..."?

That’s cool how the secret, true ending has a different thing of the house. The radio isn’t talking about the disappearance of the orphanage and in it Ester seems like she isn’t haunted as much but I could be wrong.

One of the reasons why I love this game is how it first starts with the POV of Esther's niece, and then in the second game it shows how Esther found Mr Hopp and eventually gave it to her niece. It also shows that there were multiple stuffed animals that belonged to her friends. Anyways really underrated game. ^^

How cool is it that this game had so many hidden secrets. The authors did really put a lot of love into the game, and that's one of the things I love from indie developers. Whish this game had more coverage from other youtubers to increase its popularity because they deserve it for a job well done. Also thank you for all these compilations. Achievement hunting and completionism is always serious business for me.

Further explaining the regular/bad ending. I think it means that even when Esther escaped the orphanage, the entity got her and wiped her memory of all the events that happened which explains why Esther questions why she is outside. She takes in Mr Hopps and years later is still with him. Unlike the true ending here’s what changed. Instead of the radio playing happy music, a radio report of the 67th year since the orphans and matrons disappeared. Mentioning Esther doesn’t remember the events. Instead of a picture of Esther and her friends, it shows a pic of her holding Mr Hopps. Instead of blooming flowers on a vase we see wilted flowers Instead of the medallions on the necklace mannequin we see a pearl necklace. In the bad ending, Ruby’s birthday card for Esther isn’t there. So are the balloons. We can also see a scratch in the wall. Finally, instead of Elder Esther sitting in the chair we see Mr Hopps in the darkness. We don’t exactly know what happened to Esther in the bad ending if she was claimed by the entity or maybe died as there is no birthday card from Ruby and the wilted flowers.

Random fact: the medallions can be related to the Chaos Emeralds from the Sonic the Hedgehog series; you cannot get the true ending without all of them.

The true ending was actually really smart. It looks like any building/area that the Mr.hops doll is in gets haunted. This means that Esther could give the doll to Ruby, therefore getting rid of the monsters for her, yet giving them to Ruby.

That note that Ruby gave Esther was nostalgia to me cause Ruby is Esther's granddaughter and this game was basically set in the past before Ruby got Mr. Hopps so I like that how the developer put that nostalgic easter egg.

Can someone realize that all the kids and the matrons are safe but if there are 4 matrons, that means Mr Hopp completely Squished and killed Miss Beverly!

I can’t believe there was an ending referencing to Spongebob.

So with the bad ending, Esther got mr hoops who was possessed by the demon, when she didn't agree to play with them her memorys got erased, this is why she gave Mr hopps to ruby her grand child, Mr hopps tormented Ruby, but Ruby then killed Mr hopes that's why she didn't have her memorys erased because unlike esthere she was successful in getting rid of the demon. Mr hopps also killed all the other people besides Ruby and Esther's because they weren't like the wich meanwhile Esther's and Ruby were like her, perhaps a decendent of the wich and so the demon wanted to torment them due to the resemblance or it just torments whoever has the toy For the good ending, esthere most likely either thought that it was all a dream or got possessed by Mr hopps, this is why Ruby was giving Mr hopps, Mr hopps probably only targeted the people who are like the witch or are given the toy, this has evidence because at the end you see Mr hopps at the end behind Esther therefore she most likely got possessed and then the demon not needing Esther made her die or have some illness that slowly killed so she wouldn't be able to stop him

Don’t worry grandma, she don’t need the medallion. Ruby’s packing heat. Edit: “packing heat” is another way of saying someone has a gun, although it could reference the fire ending. I was unaware that they changed the gun to a slingshot lol. Also I had to look up what “gacha heat” was so thanks for that I’m gonna bleach my eyes now.

The magic shell ending is a reference to "The magic conch" from Spongebob Squarepants. It was a toy with a pull string that gave magic 8-ball style responses that the cast had to follow or face the consequences all while lost in the middle of forest. One of the responses was to do "nothing", which resulted in a number of coincidental rewards like buffets and rescue.
