Honestly, medical webbing. The number of times that guy gets shot, stabbed etc. I'd think a webbing with some anti-septic properties and maybe even a little local anaesthetic effect would work wonders... And that's not even getting into the applications for people he saves or first aid kits if he sold it.

The first part, "Because the fluid almost instantly sublimates from solid to liquid when under sheer pressure" means that the fluid while pressurized will change from a solid state of matter to a liquid state of matter. Think of Liquid Oxygen in a tank which is pressurized. Now remove the pressure and it becomes a gas. The web shooter fluid does this as well, but instead goes from liquid to solid when it exits the pressurized chamber as opposed to gas to liquid. "And it is not adhesive in its anaerobic liquid/solid phase transition point"

The web shooter is pretty much one of the reasons I love Spider man a ton. It allows him to be super adaptable. It’s good for travel, rescue, fighting, covering stuff, etc

I can only remember one instance where he actually ran out of webbing entirely, including all the reserve ammo on his belt - he was busy webbing together a bunch of I-beams to hold up a building that Silver Samurai had slashed through the supports of. Might've happened elsewhere/elsewhen, but that one sticks in my memory.

Gotta say my favorite web variant is probably good Ol Impact Webbing. Don’t know why though.

I think teleportation webbing would be interesting. This one would take a bit of imagination and some futuristic tech, but basically the idea would be that planting webbing in one place could "anchor" a portal, and planting it in another area would allow him to travel to that anchor - kind of like a zipline stretched between two points, only not existing in a physical sense. Again, it would require some imagination and highly advanced future-tech, but then again...comics. So yeah. That would be cool.

Blade Webs, Just for those robotic/Superhuman/Cosmic est. enemies It would be thin enough to not be seen just for when the enemy comes rushing at me after a few good quips Probably not very Spidey but at least it will end the fights fast when needed

Overall it's such a well designed weapon for the super hero himself. On so many levels. And has become a very iconic kind of weapon that no other super hero in fiction really has besides other spider-men/women/symbiotes from same the franchise. It is a very flexible (Mind the pun) idea in more ways than one. Flexible in application for Peter Parker , because he's a flexible thinker and it suits him. Physically flexible in combat for Spider-Man. Which suits him because he's super agile and the webbing allows him to incorporate that into his fighting style so much. (Let's not forget his weapon is actually his mode of transport too , which actually can be said for a few other Marvel characters too) Flexibility to outsmart his opponents when he's the underdog , since he's not really a powerhouse class tier character. It also allows the artist and writer to to be very creative too. The webbing allows for solutions alot of potential for situations/scenes , most convetional weapons wouldn't. It's both a tool and a weapon. Also gives oppurtunity to create some great visual imagery in some panels. (Much like Straw Hat Luffy's Gum-Gum Powers) Because spider webs themselves are beautiful and somewhat a great example of natural complex structures. Flexible in application for both the artist and the character and very strong (In ratio to it's size) like a real spider's web too. Not many super heroes , use a lasso kind of weapon as their iconic form of combat. Most will slice , bludgeon, shoot or bomb you. But yeah after seeing the video title , I thought you were going to say his "Responsibility "...lol .. but really it's his " Flexibility " and his weapon of choice strongly reflects that , whether intentionally by design or not ....

I would like to see fire webs in the next spider-man game since venom will be in it and the concussion blast could be slightly tweaked for sonic webs.

Translation from the Marvel Handbook: Since the cartridge is specifically pressurized, when Peter lets the webbing fly; it immediately goes from the liquid phase to the solid webbing we know. So when the pressure is initially pushing the formula through the web shooters, the formula won't gum up the mechanisms inside the webshooters

How about beatnik webbing that makes a set of web bongos. He can use the bongos to expand a criminals mind by playing a groovy beat and laying down some spider poetry.

One of the video games also had a sort of burning webbing to be used on a symbiote. I forget which one off-hand.

I really like the design of the web shooters in the amazing spider-man. Putting the triggers below the thumb just makes so much sense to me. He was very unlikely accidentally activate it. Also in some comics the triggers actually needed a shit ton of force to activate, also to avoid accidental firing.

I would make Vibrating Webbing which would be used against those with sensitive hearing

Multi-webbing, I would make a type of web that splits into many webs depending on how much you want (2 or 3) that narrows back to eachother. It’s a great way to surprise your opponents because they are looking at separate threats that will go back into one. I think I might make it explode when they touch but that might be too meta/op/comics. Other than that, I believe these webs will be of use.

In one of the Spider-Man cartoons he had taser webs which I think is pretty cool to be in the comics (they might already be what do I know)

for the not clogging up part, i think it's kinda cool the whole "anaerobic fluid" thing, but i also read that apparently he uses the stuff in non stick pans in the shooter itself to make the fluid not stick to it

I know it has been two years, but I just want this idea out of my head. Symbiotic webbing, webbing that is stored inside Peter's body without it being too weird. Peter then also never has to create webbing. I would say similar to Tony Stark's symbiotic suit.

As unlikely as it maybe I'd say Kryptonite webbing. Regular webbing with small but numerous Kryptonite Crystal's in it

The webbing I'd make for Spidey would be a type of web that dissolves dusts and other things of the sort and turns them into a mushy substance, y'know cuz Mysterio is pretty op if you think about it.

My favorite discussion on this topic was a week long nerd argument with my ex girlfriend about how Peter could never make the web shooters. Because she was an engineering grad student… lmao She was like “where did he access the manufacturing equipment!? Highly precise engineering and custom fixtures! High pressures, precision bored nozzles and cartridge swapping mechanisms with no leaks or spills!” and I joked that maybe that’s why Peter is broke… he started as a millionaire and spent all his money on custom machining for prototypes… haha Nowadays we have 3D printing and mail order manufacturers… Those were fun arguments tho… I miss those long debates.

How about Ketchup/Mustard/Relish cartridges? After all, a superhero's gotta eat to maintain that high metabolism with all that swinging and wall crawling, and sometimes the fast food joints just mess up your order.

I love his hard webs which were steel like in appearance. He used them to make a suit of armor for battling the New Enforcers

Spidey needs to get some of the wedding that comes out of my spinnerets. Graphine and carbine! the strongest tensile strength material there is. Plus it's second to none as a conductor, harder than diamond, stronger than steel, and can stretch quite a bit

I'd like to see some compression webbing which would just be a blast of air which would help get heavy enemies off Peter. From what I've read he seems to get pinned a lot and that could help. He could also use it for a speed boost, setting it off behind him mis swing for extra distance (or double jumps in video-games). The webbing is such a great tool because it is not limited to spider related stuff. Peter is just smart and creative enough to make multi purpose tools from spraying fluid from his wrists. Love comics.

Invisible webbing, mystic webbing, and healing webbing from DC strange would help alot

I would make the web-shooters need a certain pressure needed to be actived. This way he could hold his hand in a fist and they won’t be activated as well as only people with super strength would be able to use them, preventing unwanted users.

Ok, sleep deprived spur of the moment idea: Pym-Wbs! Yeah, Pym as in Hank Pym, aka Ant-Man. Imagine having webs that, once coiled around your enemies, shrinks them for easy capture and transport. Could also enlarge when fighting REALLY big enemies.

If I was Spider-Man I'd probably add Stealth Webbing. Webbing that is extra fine and not quite as strong, allowing me to use it to set up tripwires. Never know when he's going to need to trap Doc Connors again, and maybe this time he could manage it without having to nearly get eaten. That or maybe flammable webbing with a spark ignition included. Never know when you'll need some fire.

Well what I would do is kind of related to his suit in the movies. Imagine him having a bunch of small web shooters around the inside of his arms, down the side of his body and between his legs. So when he activates them they give him an instant full body wing suit allowing him to glide farther than just having the gliders under the arms. A jetpack on the back to provide thrust would also be useful.

A healing web: like real-world spider silk bandages, it can be applied to a wound, but is also treated with antibiotic agents and clogging agents to help avoid infections and slow bleeding. Would be very useful for immediate first aid on civilian bystanders. And the formula would have to be significantly weaker than standard webs, so it could be removed by first responders.

I couldn’t stop at just one, so here’s three: 1. Elastic Webs: they work a lot like a rubber band, allowing Spidey to use them like a whip and, since they have a certain amount of give, handy for not killing Gwen Stacy. 2. Pym Webs: Spider-Man’s standard webbing, but infused with Pym Particles to either grow giant in size or to be web based trap invisibile to the naked eye. 3. Tranq Webs: Webbing that looks normal, but is coated with a powerful sedative that can knock out most people, useful for pacifying villains or panicking civilians. I also really want to see a story where a villain uses Spidey’s webs against him, like Ben Reily or Superior. I imagine it’s happened before, but a test of web technique sounds like a cool way to highlight why not just anyone can use the web-shooters.

Garlic webbing for fighting vampires

If I could make a type of webbing it would probably be a webbing that glows a bright Neon color so that way I'd another hero is working for spidey that doesn't have the mobility of him it could be easier to keep track of where he's going. Alternatively it could also be used as a sort of signal for help and it could also be nice for a civilian driving to see a large amount of it and know to avoid it

I've always thought web-shooters and webbing would be one of the world's greatest inventions. Cops without guns. A true non-lethal weapon.

I would make a new version of impact webbing which would incorporate pym particles to condense say like a 1000 times more webbing then traditional impact webbing and when he shoots the pellet once it impacts the pym particles expire and it grows 1000 times in volume encasing a target.

I thought Spidey's greatest weapon was his mind. Because inventing the web shooters. And many MANY situations where he had to think his way out quickly.

a kind of endothermic / exothermic web would be cool, can be use like normal webbing but when made into a baseball size or larger construct they begin to rapidly heat and after a few seconds explode.

I think a web that was infused with a bit of a infinity stone most likely power stone that would be a lot stronger than average material

I think "Tranquilizer Webbing" would be useful. Small doses on exposed skin could stop a Human, larger could slow down any mind-controlled Animals he goes up against, and if there isn't any exposed skin they could generate an ODOR that, if not putting people to SLEEP, would definitely make them Drowsy, and against someone like Spider-Man, he might as well be playing Easy Mode.

I’d like to see inpact webbings that had a secondary blast of webbings. So it would collect things in a certain radius.

I think an explosive web type would be kind of neat. It could either have nitroglycerin in it and then ignite it or have tiny explosives in it that could detonate on command

Most spiders while making their big webs use a small, thinner strand of web in the beginning which they then walk along to bring the thicker, stronger web across whatever gap they are trying to cover with their web. I think Spider-Man could use something like this when he is on a stealthy mission. It would be much thinner and only be used to carry his weight or something lighter. It would be so thin in fact that it would be almost invisible so that he wouldn't get detected as easily. And they would dissolve quicker and with much less of an odor (You would need a supersniffer like Wolverine or Daredevil to detect any trace of them).

Napalm/incendiary webs would be a fun thing to mess around with

Webs that get tighter as you fight them then soon incapacitate them or webs that rob you of your powers
