Shield form boosted attacks also decrease the cooldown of Shadow Claw or Sacred Sword. By around 1.5 to 2 seconds I believe. It's great if it's a 1V1, they're lower on health, and you can't let them get away. Just Sacred Sword back in around two boosted attacks and then you're ready to change into blade form again. That cooldown reduction makes it easier to reset. It's just something to consider. Yeehaw everyone!

Jake, i am machamp main and i have dominated the lane both early and late game but after the recent buff to aegislash, it's the most terrifying Pokemon... Thinking of shifting to aegislash after being dominated by it for so longg...

boosted shield auto attacks also lower the cooldown of your sword sword stance ability, its nice that the game actually tells you about it, venusaur's petal dance still doesn't for some reason

Aegislash in sword form is a lot like a speedster, squishy but huge team melting burst potential. I flew from Louisiana to North Carolina the day it was released so I spent a good four hours or so getting to know the character in offline mode and quickly realized I had to have him. I don’t really main any particular character but Aegislash has been in my top three since it’s release. I love how challenging he is to play and rewarding it is to watch the other team melt away while I go Ching Ching Ching! Love the content jake keep it up! I’m like you and started playing Pokémon blue when it came out while I was in fifth grade and played the first three generation. I stopped after hoen and never really got back into gaming until I discovered Unite last October. I have enjoyed learning the mechanics of each character and your channel is the best one here I really appreciate your content and wish I was in a place to support you financially. Keep it up, you rule!

It’s actually pronounced Dub-blade, cuz it’s name comes from Double and Blade! But that’s just a simple technical mistake that anyone can make, so it’s okay! (Duoblade also sounds nice anyways!)

Just came back after not playing for over a month and Aegislash is my new favorite. It’s whole kit is so strong and versatile. Been using Muscle, Focus, Claw. But I might swap the Claw for WP or try a full bulky build.

I've been dabbling with Aegislash a bit since the buff, and I definitely prefer Iron Head to Wide Guard. Wide Guard feels situational, while Iron Head has the same cool down as Sacred Sword, so if you use them in quick succession, you'll have both back at the same time, making form changing easier (if you ask me) which is obviously important as Aegislash since you are a paper weight in sword form.

Another thing to note is that his attack stat from items (muscle band, attack weight, etc.) boost his DEF stat in shield form.

Try focus band, razor claw, and muscle band. It does so much damage and has a lot of speed attacking

Aegi finally getting some love. Gonna work to get on his leader board at some point. Really confused why everyone loves to play weakness policy with it but if thats what you enjoy 🤷

My go to lane build is Attack Weight, Cookie, and Weakness Policy. Stack fast, and just be a tanky wrecking ball.

So they only thing I've noticed on your aegislash game play especially in the 2nd game is you forgot about the heals you get from the shield form. Especially from stacking you get such a large amount of heals. On average aegislash should have 20 k healing if you use your boosted attacks to heal when you need to.

I sometimes use Aegislash, and I have to admit that it is underrated, until it got buffed recently. The moves are all so good. I usually go with Sacred sword, and for the other skill I don't see much difference so I just go with wide guard

You forgot to mention one thing and that you know how zeraora wild charge makes him invincible well you can kick him out of his attack with wide guard

Hmm... I just recently got back into unite, before I left, Machamp was main. Then I got to playing Tsareena and now I've been spamming her ever since first play. Muscle band is like my staple it just feels right. Score shield and rocky helm is what I used on Machamp so I do the same. I personally like stomp and trop kick it fits my play style. That being on site with anything and everything that moves plus potion held item again personal favorite just for that momentary top off before going back in. Should I use scope lens?

Is damage calculated before or after going into blade form, when you get out of shield?

you forgot to mention that when you are honedge/doublade your ability is no guard, which increases the damage you deal & the damage you receive, basically meaning that you are always in blade form

Hey Spragels, could we get a pokemon unite "guess the elo" series? Having fans submit 30s clips from their matches with their rank/elo revealed after you try and guess what rank they are. I see it in other competitive games all the time and I think it would be fun given unite's wild match making system.

Sup @spragels! Did you keep experiencing weird lag spikes in your games? It was all fun an giggles until March or so but now its making the game unbearable to play. Sometimes ping is shown as green on the lobby and in game, but it clearly spikes to 100+ms from time to time. All of my friends in the region (LAS) are having the same issue and i noticed you too had in one of your last vids. Is there a way we can push this issue forward to make someone aware of it? I run claw policy muscle band if I have support and focus band claw policy/muscle if soloq, it works well for me but idk how effective it really is

As a huge aegislash fan, it always bothered me that he wasnt holding his shield correctly in game. I thought it was intentional so i kinda accepted it. But in the latest patch they fixed it! It was a bug all along. Only true aegislash fans noticed lol 😂

I main gengar, and when Aegislash has a shield up (I think can be either wide guard or iron head), my hex still does significant damage to it. Anyone know why that is? Does aegislash have to be facing a melee pokemon to use its shield?

Aegislash is my favorite Pokemon in the main series but I was very underwhelemed with it when it was released in Unite. I tried to main it but ended up with 45% winrrate on it while my other main mons were fairly above 60% (Masters 1800+). These buffs were severely needed.

I haven't given much thought towards Aegislash since I always run support for my team, but it sounds like it's the Pokemon Unite version of the Monster Hunter charge blade. Love it! Also, I know it's not practical to do an in depth video like this for every Pokemon since things change with patches so frequently, but this video is awesome. Very much appreciated!
