Fun Fact- Shibuki's first game was undoubtably ranked a 2 of Hearts like in the manga. This can be deduced by her crossing off her 5th day in the Borderlands in Episode 3 and proclaiming: 'My visa ends today.' Since we know she beat the 3 of Clubs, this must mean the other game she beat was ranked a 2. It was also undoubtably a Hearts game due to her screaming in the 7 of Hearts: 'You're too naive! It's a game of Hearts!' as if she almost definitely played a Hearts game before. The show seemed to pay Some tribute to the Actual 2 of Hearts game featured in the manga, by having her mention poisonous gas. What throws me off though however, is that the Show version of The Two Of Hearts seems to be yet another game of betraying people (going off of what Shibuki said about how she just wanted to survive) when that Wasn't what happened in the manga at all. In the manga, there isn't even anyone to betray, because you're literally going through the game all by yourself. Spoilers if you want to read it yourself. The game involves you having to go through a series of train cars, and you know 1 of them will have poisonous gas in it, and you have a gas mask but have 1 less oxygen canister than there are karts. This means that you're proabably going to have to risk your life at one point and enter a car without wearing the gas mask. Of course, the twist is that the poisonous gas is in the final car, but most players won't be able to bring themselves to walk through a car without the gas mask, meaning they'll be left with no oxygen canisters on the final car.
@@migggo9973 They are not really about players toying with other players- They can only truly be won by Overcoming that desire to do so. The game masters design Hearts games so that you will be fooled into letting others die so you can live. If you don't succumb to that though, and never give up and trying to save everybody, you can find a way to let everyone live.
@@carealoo744 i know right Its just like the 10 of ♥️ were You should find the witch who Stab the girl in front of them and If you found the witch you will Burn it into the fire and no one Should really died in the first place Cus the girl stab her self she is the Witch and yeah you're right the Game masters made the game of ♥️ to fool the players and letting Others killed i think they can all Beat the game of hearts if can only Work together and trusting each Other thers always a way to finish The game without killing each others Thats why it is called the HEARTS ♥️
@@carealoo744 and thankyou For telling us what shibuki played Before i was really curious when She said to arisu that in her first Game she was the only one who Survived and in that day the only Thing she ever think is to survive No matter what but in the manga She surender in the 7 of hearts Cus she doesn't want to be the Burden of ther death but in the Live action chota needs to stop Her from taking the spot from Arisu and yeah they did shibuki Dirty she's such a badass 🔥
I think it's 3 because it's very possible to beat it even if you don't know the strategy just by gambling on doors. In particular if you're 4 or more participants (assuming you don't stop in a room and get everyone dies).
@@OverRule1 I really liked it, but wish that we didn’t get to see all/more of the games fully play out & that the rules & parameters format was more like in season 1. Also, selfishly, while I liked Kuina’s maintained warrior goddess status with the fights in season 2, her season 1 fight with Last Boss was imho epic!
everytime you mention the bathroom I remember something from an anime about how in some folklore it's believed that bathrooms are portals to other worlds.
Jamila 😂 Glad you talked about how misunderstood Sayori is btw, it's hard to get promotions in Japan, which doesn't excuse her cheating but it does give us a bit more understanding of what her ideals were. At least during the games, all she wanted to do was survive. Still...not my favourite character though 😂
This was basically glass bridge with 5 people and 8 panels. Instead of 16 people and 18 glass panels. With Arisu being the "glassmaker" So there is absolutely no way this is a 3 of clubs. Especially the fact that 2 out of the 4 people you are with are your friends.
Its a group game because people need to take risks for this game. In spite of arisu using the process of elimination, without knowing the first two answers, they wouldn't have been able to continue. The first two doors were luck.
I just realised that you can take off one of the posters on the door and since they both have a face on it you can throw that in to see if it's safe or not! I was watching your "how to beat 7 of hearts" and wanted to be powerful and smart and I just figured it out.. Edit: I wrote this before watching the whole video but the paper thing would definitely work because if y'all remember the last episode where chishiya throws the car keys out and they get shot by the lasers.. This means paper would work the same way too and on top of that the poster has a face on it
Good idea! Unfortunately, I don’t think the lasers would react to objects. Only living breathing beings. I feel like the lasers have something to do with either the person or the phone.
@@ikonic5641lasers at the border of game arenas react to anything that crosses it, thus nothing and no one can leave the game, meanwhile the 3 of clubs game laser is triggered at whoever opens the wrong door no matter where they are. So you can't throw objects into a wrong room because you'll get lasered for choosing a wrong door even if you didn't enter the room, since the laser is aimed to your head no matter where you are. This also happens in the Jack of spades game, players who let go of the rope get instantly lasered when you could easily grab it again as you fall
I still don't think this makes a whole lot of sense. Either you die if you enter the wrong room, or you die when you open the wrong door. It can't be both and they're not the same thing. Arisu treats the door that leads to your death like that whole room means death even if you enter the room from another door, and thus quickly eliminate all doors leading to the middle room. I don't know why this assumption is made. Another thing is that if he works on the theory that there's only room for 3x3 rooms the outer doors make no sense because they would either need to be fake doors with just a wall behind them, or they'd lead out of the building, which was the objective. So if what kills you is entering the wrong room there'd be no problem just opening and looking through these doors. In other words in many room only one door leads somewhere and then it's automatically correct.
this would be an extremely easy way to clear the game, so I guess that opening a wrong door is what gets you a game over and then lasered to the head, so even if you don't enter the room just opening the door will get you lasered. Take into consideration that the point of the game is to choose someone to open a door and leave the answer to the 50/50 chance not knowing the shape of the building, so at some point a fake door could be choosen and the person who opened it lasered
If you are still looking for some good Korean movies, here are a few that I like: Train to Busan, Gonjiam Haunted Asylum, Death Bell, and Seinfeld the man who sells the river (not a horror movie, but still a great movie)
Welcome back, mister Ben! Guess you won the Netflix battle? Saori knew what took us so many episodes to figure out but because she appeared at the beginning of the show her behaviour was misjudged. Awesome work as usual 😊
I don't know if this would work, but if you open the wrong door but not go through it. You could see there is no other door, allowing the players to move to the correct door. The laser appears to kill the players who walks through the wrong door. I maybe wrong though.
I think I understand the reason behind the suit and difficulty. Due to the fact that there are 8 rooms, each having a 50% chance to guess correctly, since there were 5 participants, if you work together, theoretically one person should be able to survive. This is assuming every guess is random. That's the reason it's a 3 of clubs. If the way to figure it out was the way Arisu did, then I think it would have been a 7 of diamonds, and if there were fewer people, then I think it would have been a higher number. Although I still believe it should have been a hearts game since there's no logic to what's on the doors, and most of the correct doors were die, which goes against what most would believe. There is also the fact that guessing would result in many deaths. There's also the possibility that you could open doors, to see what's on the other side, because the first girl wasn't shot until she entered the room, so it could be possible that you don't choose a door until you enter it, and you could figure it out just by seeing what's on the other side of the doors.
The laser targets her as soon as she opened the door, and a small delay before it had fired giving her a split second to walk in. I don't think opening the door start would work since it immediately targeted her. Didn't notice this until my second viewing
Also hearts game isn't applicable, no messing with betrayal or feelings, backstabbing. It could be argued to be diamond since, as Arisu showed, it could be solved and beaten with problem solving. I guess it was clubs since the problem solving wasn't mandatory, you could still win by working with others (taking turns)
Amazing video! i was wondering if you maybe would want to talk about the thai series . Its a really interesting plot and i would love to see what ur thought and theory are!
Bro love all of your videos of these anime-inspired dramas tv series. You really have to watch Strangers from Hell and I am very interested to hear what you think about the series, characters and final!! Great video as always.
I added a comment suggesting this (until Alice in Borderland returns), but I’ll do it here too in case the other comment wasn’t seen… The “special episode” of Kingdom on Netflix. I would love to see a video from @Generation Ochi on “Kingdom: Ashin of the North” which came out in the US Friday, July 23, 2021.
Most games are unrealistic in the sense that the 3 of clubs game for example. 5 regular people or dare I say average or MOST.. ARE DEAD before even close to the end. That's the flaw in this show. Tag with queen is more fair and real. I'd rather face the King of Spades than the 3 if clubs and you're foolish to say otherwise unless you're a fn dimensional genius and have pohotographic memory and even then you'd barely make it out those rooms
I couldn't stand shibuki since she walked into the first trial. So munipulative and selfish, I'm glad Chota didn't fold to her grooming attempts, I much prefare Usagi and Kuina. I hope we get info on season 2 soon
Arisu works on both assumptions, which is weird. They don't open doors to scout whats ahead, so clearly they think that it's not safe. But he also treats the middle room as if entering it was instant death ragardless of which door you used to get there.
in the show it looked like u die when u enter the room but I’m guessing they would die if they opened the wrong door, otherwise they could just open the door, throw something in there and see if it gets lasered or not
Come to think of it, maybe they could've lived if they didn't join this game. Their visas can't expire if they don't have a visa to expire, so the only thing they need for survival are basic necessities. Unless it's explained in the manga why it doesn't work that way.
I've just watched 28 minutes into the first episode, and if everyone disappeared and at the same time I got a sign saying "join the game this way" I would be very sceptical and I would think the answer to where all the people went would be else where.
Anyone else watched this game for first time and thought “nobody would have figured this out in a minute something” 🙄 this game just felt a lot less realistic than anything in squid game
Guys of topic but can someone tell me some tv dramas similar to Alice in Borderland? I really enjoy that and I want something to watch like this. Thank you
