I understand how a young man (18/19) thinks and feels about a young woman that he considers out of his league. You put forth everything within you to show her that you are the one. I honestly treated her like a princess. A few short months later im standing in front of the preacher saying "O Yeah" What i should have said, when he asked her "do you" I should have asked "and with who" A year later i have had about as much "princess" as i can stand. I leave and never look back. My assumptions were correct, the following week she is on a date with someone she is very comfortable with. Lust is very powerful, it is easily confused for Love especially for young men. Stay focused brothers. Edit to add. That was 46 years ago and i wish i could say i learned a valuable lesson. Well i did as far as how i view women but 5 years later i got married to a woman that i thought was the one. 22 years later she went off in search of that greener grass. Stay strong brothers.

I always claim that I always hate the sci-fi stories, but this one isn't too bad.

Great story -- right up to the cryptic, incomprehensible ending. No clue why he rubbed the ring with the herb-smelling cloth, some gypsy magic it's obvious, but to do what to the ring? It's like he rubbed the makings on the ring, then omitted sentence, then she pulled back her hand, yelled at him, and left. Did the makings cause the ring to temporarily expand, as was said earlier in the story it could do? If so, and it allowed him to pull the ring from her finger, why did she yell and leave, instead of wave the court order at him and demand it back, in a room full of lawyers? Why just yell and leave? And all that's just a guess, as if the theoretical sentence or sentences were omitted. Who knows what happened to the ring? Not I, and it's bad editing to omit a key twist ending in this manner. Very bad. Also, what happened to Shadya? How was her appearance altered, and by what application of the makings? Again, omitted sentences seem to be the answer, bad editing. He says those are the last two times he used the makings, but how did he use them on Shadya? And how was that related to the hint that is given about her appearance when he first met her? That only said she had Dina's eyes, and a cryptically knowing smile, but was slender with nice legs. No clue how his final use of the makings altered her. It just says he used it, and somehow she was like she appeared at their first meeting. But where was it ever said that any aspect of her appearance went away? Are there missing sentences about her eyes changing from Dina's to something else, and he used the makings to make eye drops to give her those back? Was there something else about her first appearance then that was left out of the story, that his use of the makings caused to re-appear? Can't tell from this edit. Extremely unsatisfying and annoying edits affecting what feels like would have been a great surprise twist ending. Ruined apparently by editing.

I assume the name is Șadia. Anyway, an interesting fantasy. But if the characters are of Romanian origin, they should be able to pronounce "Mulțumesc" correctly!😂 The aunt was Rroma and rromani is the language spoken by rromi(Țigani or Gypsies) and is originally from India. Rromani and Romanian are two different languages. Romanian is a mixture of words of Latin, Turkish and Slavic origin, with a latin structure. One more thing: in the 80s there were no private legal businesses in Romania because of the communist regime, which was different (much worse) compared to today's China. So no one could accumulate a wealth of jewels from legal business with which to flee the country. The only option was a family heirloom, hidden from the eyes of the world from generation to generation. Anyway, nice job, LLC! Thank you
