People say about the best guitarists in the world, and they come up with Eric Clapton, or Jimmy Hendricks { polled best is Carlos Santana} but Hank Marvin is the godfather. There are other fantastic guitarists { Lyndsay Buckingham, Mark Knofler.etc} but Hank Marvin is right up there. Mustard
@@sharonbowers952 So many good ones, there is no "Best" per se. Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani - the list goes on! But I will always love Hank Marvin's playing!
Me too! I saw them in the early 60s @ the London Palladium with Cliff, and it was very special. But of course, at that age I didn't realise just what great musicians and performers they were. I am so sad I have now lost my chance to ever see them live again.
Always have loved this great instrumental! Thank you to Hank Marvin and the Shadows for this and also to The Ventures for their great rendition as well!
I had the pleasure of attending the Shadows Final Tour in Liverpool, a fantastic night they gave us many years of great music, Hank's sound is unique, some come close but you still tell it's Hank playing Apache.
This is one song on guitar I would definitely love to play. Apache. The rest of his music and the rest of the band are great but Apache just gets my heart pumping.
Love the look of mischief on Hank's face, he always seem to be having such a great time. Wonderful to see this and think that Hank was such a major influence on man of today's greats
Great memories, I was there at this concert on a hot June evening in 2004 at St David’s Hall Cardiff. I was sitting about eight rows back from where Hank looked like he was going to throw his guitar.
Beautiful music..lyrics and rhythem ..Musicians are fantastic..legends on this master piece..AWESOME..That guitar is saying it all and flowing out the sound to the fans..
@@rvqx I learned how to play basic guitar thanks to Bert Weedon ,,,to go on and play at the Hollywood Rose-bowl,,, and the Grand ole Oprey,,, Nashville TN still jam with friends of the music industry today ,,,, yeah magic times,,, Edwin J Thompson ,,, Ed Beverly Hills California US
Great stuff that always brings back memories of hanging around in coffee bars in the early sixties, and hearing it on Radio Luxembourg on my uncle's car radio.
Absolutely. That was the thought that immediately popped into my head as i was listening and I was about to write i comment. Something made me scroll down through all the comments to see if anyone else had said it, before commenting on my own. You have! _/\_ :-)
Believe it or not, I somehow just discovered this tune at age 68. Really like it. I don't know anything about guitar playing, but it's striking to me, in every video I've seen, how much Hank Marvin seems to be having a great time playing. It's infectious!
I am greatful toQeenslend Premier Anastasia for the great effort she put in saving lives of the old and vulnerable folks of Queensland. We wish you well in your stand for the premiership. God bless you, thank you

I was in Torquay a few weeks ago and the guitarist played Apache, we all got up and danced. This took me back to the wonderful sixties. I love the Shadows who are great musicians.
This is the tune that introduced me to a long relationship with the shadows music, I first heard it on a juke box in a restaurant in Blackpool when I was 8
So glad II found it I had been hearing it in my head but didn’t know the name ... I loved hearing it when it played on the radio when I was 10.. I would feel transported.,..To a Native American land
Now we know that familiar music causes our brain to produce dopamine and other "feel good" endorphins. Hank's version of Apache is a virtual dopamine flood.
Este Tema es de un recuerdo muy especial para mi ...con mi Grupo Los Jets de Honduras del que fui la primera guitarra .. lo tocamos en 1961... por primera vez junto a Celán David y Alberto Valladares.(Q.D.D.G)
