The album consisting of Peace Pipe was recorded at Abbey Road Studios (Studio 2) on entirely analogue equipment in real time in 1961, with each track recorded on a one-track-per-day basis with no overdubs / edits.

I was born in 1969 behind the iron curtain in Czechoslovakia, I had no idea about Shadows. Paradoxically, Czechoslovak Television started using this tune as background for weather reports 😄 and I really liked the music. It wasn't until many years later that I found out that there was a band called Shadows and that they made such wonderful music.
And I’m just starting to learn and play their music (68 yrs old) I’m on my 4th tune and wishing I started a long time ago instead of playing the tennis racket 😂😂 in the bedroom while listening to the record player

Peace Pipe by The Shadows. It is a beautiful tune. It's melodious and tranquil too. The other similarly beautiful instrumentals of The Shadows were Wonderful Land, Atlantic, Theme For Young Lovers, The Breeze And I etc. They were all great and everlasting music of this legendary band, The Shadows. Among The Shadows’ ballad sounds, I love ❤️ most is “Peace Pipe”. The next to it will be these three: Blue Star⭐️; Sleepwalk; and Midnight. My choice is this stage sound more than the original from The Young Ones. Thanks for this RU-vid video.

Vivienne,it's bad accoustics of the hall and the mic' ing up,if you had been there you would have heard it clean and crisp as was possible![you can't expect ANY live recording to be as clean and crisp as a studio recording!!!]
VR This is a live version played at a concert. They were always played little different from the original, and its a normal routine practise of all artists when playing in concerts. Sorry for late comment.
Dziś niewielu potrafi tak zagrać. Dziś liczy się głośno , hałas, instrumenty nie liczą się, wystarczy szafa grająca. jeżeli jest tekst to cały utwór - dwa zdania o niczym. Dobra muzyka to przeszłość, dobrze , że istnieją jeszcze takie nagrania.
