What bothers me is that this statement from the video means NOTHING. It doesn't give us ANY useful info about what is wrong with the steaks. Are they saying the steaks are expired? Tough? Poor cuts? Processed? Maybe not even a real steak? They give us ZERO info that is helpful, other than making a nebulous comparison to cafeteria food.

Dollar General is better than Dollar Tree at it. Dollar General post in their Business Plan every Year that Other Dollar Stores aren't even Competitors and that WalMart is their only true competition. To the point they Build a Dollar General every 10-20 Miles apart between WalMarts so its Quicker and Easier to reach a Dollar General LONG before the next WalMart.

It's a nasty job. The store is seriously understaffed. Whatever patience they come in with evaporates quickly. On a different note, the food desert idea isn't because the dollar stores drove the others out. It's because the mentioned crime is indemic. Dollar stores will take it, others won't.

Have you ever worked retail? It’s a thankless job and you have to constantly clean up after entitled, lazy people who just let their kids run around throwing and knocking shit over. I’m extremely patient so I can fake being nice, but I completely understand that some people just can’t deal with the public after a certain point. Any retail job sucks but dollar stores attract customers who are financially unstable. And financial instability tends to be generational. So for generations that family has been struggling financially and probably couldn’t afford or find the time and energy to teach their children how to behave in public. Survival took priority over manners. These individuals shop here because they’ve always had to shop here and they were never taught to treat people and their property with respect. Poverty is a cycle that perpetuates more poverty and these stores in conjunction with financial assistance give people a reason to not want better for themselves. I’ve worked at several and it’s the same wherever the store is located. This results in shitty customers which results in frustrated, grumpy employees.

In my area the dollar general employees make $16 an hour

I worked for them for 15 yrs as asst.mgr and was only making 12.65 hour they let me go after 15 yrs guess they didn't want to have to pay more They are a very dirty company

yes. its like when i recently visited a -5 below- store and seen $6 items along with 5.50 like really? you couldnt just put them at five dollars..alot of the products arent worth that much. ,

I love American cheese (not from the Dollar Store) melted on a hamburger, but I hate it cold and plain. I can't think any other time I would actually eat it.

I once bought some of that cheese and it wouldn’t even melt when I put directly in the pan.

It’s only meaningless if you 1.) benefit from the disparities they create or 2.) just don’t see much value in anything beyond your own interests or 3.) don’t know better. Dollar Tree’s are unsustainable and unflattering wherever they exist and they only thrive because more economically vulnerable people make concessions instead of expecting better from the businesses that are exploiting them.

PVC always has been. It didn't "become" unsafe. In any case, PVC is supposed to only be used for pipes taking drain water OUT of your home. Other pipes are used for bringing it in.

In the production process it's bad. And the end product isn't meant it straws, if you get the gist

I'm sorry to say this but my husband says Dollar Stores are a way to "kill the poor" population in this country. Everyone regardless of income should have the same access to quality and nutritious food. I just don't think enough people know the hazard and dangers of eating food from the Dollar Tree day in and day out....
