this is really random but i acc find strawberry legs pretty for some reason 😭😭its normal for some people to have strawberry legs if u shave so dont hate on ur skin for it
There was actually a content creator I saw named Erin Miller who has a tutorial on getting rid of strawberry legs. I'll give the video after the list of stuff she uses. - KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub - Johnson's Shea and Coco Butter oil - Tan Luxe: The Body - Tula Body Skincare ru-vid.comSKXHrOtEqng?feature=share
I have strawberry legs too. You should try some kind of AHA and Niacinamide lotions, and keep moisturize your skin. It helps a lot. Now I rarely have the strawberry skins. Hope it’ll work for you.
The scrub she mentioned helps also cera be rough and bumpy skin, or anything with light skin centered acids in it (salicylic, glycolic , aha/bha etc...)
@@jcicrafters5724 my comment had nothing to do with Jesus. I’m also not religious. Please understand not everyone believes in God or Jesus. They also don’t have too. Please keep this comment for people talking about Christianity or any other ‘God/Jesus’ believing religious. I’m telling you this politely so you don’t get into any arguments. I also find it really irritating because as a non-believer, it’s just forcing. That’s like me saying to random people who comment ‘God isn’t real, Neither is Jesus.’ You’d find that annoying and rude. It’s exactly the same in the opposite way. Which some religious people need to understand. Thank you.
@@t1nkerbell thanks for commenting on this. No one is forcing you exactly but yeah this video has nothing to do with Jesus or religion it's just not needed on everything people comment on. It's ok to want to spread your religion but there's a time and place. And on the internet isn't always the right place ❤ no hate on your or anyone's comments just think there's better ways to spread religion and sometimes you don't need to spread it everyday or everywhere. It's ok for people not to believe what you do it's just common sense and respect.
You don’t need anything to “balance your ph levels”. Your body naturally does that on its own and heightening your ph levels can actually be really bad.
Well water is basic and out skin ought to be slightly acidic and no, your body can't always regulate itself if you don't check what you put in and around it. You obviously just don't want to overdo the ACV either
@@courtneywalker6530 Did you even read what I wrote? Also, do you actually have any proper knowledge of the skin ? Most of us have problematic skin and also shaving is not natural so prepping it and making efforts to help it be in its best possible shape would be normal.
@@mariec7092 I am not going against the process of prepping skin before being shaved, it’s just the comment about using apple cider vinegar, which is very acidic, on the skin to “balance Ph levels” is what got me.
@@onedaybeccalmao..."accidentally"? How does one "accidentally" throw off their pH levels? Your body doesn't do things accidentally...what a strange word choice.
I love apple cider vinegar baths. The smell doesn't linger at all and my skin feels so nice and smooth after. I use it in my hair too and it has a lot of benefits.
i just want to let everyone know, even if you shave your legs and theres still dark dots, that's totally ok. not everyone's leg hairs or legs are the same, so whatever routine you're following or maybe if you don't have one, it won't work for you like it works for others. as a hairy girl, it's difficult to get silky smooth legs for even a day and a half, because by the next day my legs are already prickly. your legs look just fine the way they are, strawberry legs, dark dotted legs, or smooth legs, they are still classified as normal and not an issue 😊
same lol I still shave but I stopped caring to shave each 2 days, now I shave every 2 weeks or every month 1 time, only in summer. I shave my face more often tho, but I have a spikey mustache so if u touched it after some days of shaving it feels like the guys xD same for chin Hell I am 1uite close to have a single eyebrow(if u get what I mean), so iam hairy, my bio dad must've been a gigantic bear because I inherited his hair n height lmfao
im shaving once in a month, or shaving when i have a special occasion only :') eventho my legs are hairy, but somehow i feel there is no need for me to shave as often as any women out there, or shaving with special treatment or whatever. dry shaving with a reguler kind of shaving blade once in a month is enough for me. and, if my legs are as hairy as sarabeqele, i wont touch my shaving blade ever. that's not even hairy for me :')
@marthaayu1241 😅🤣 Yesterday saw a girl even hairier at the bus, she had hormonal issues if I'm aware, bc she had grey face due to shaving, like the beard marks talking with a friend of hers and I was like ayo, she is like a bear but she rocks it out And her arms were hairier than half the men there lol
Girlies, stop obsessing over your strawberry legs. As someone who has them, I always just found them normal. (And who doesn’t like strawberries?) I’ll repeat what I said before in another comment. If we’re gonna call insecurities lovely names like muffin tops, love handles, and strawberry legs you better start actually loving them. Cause you deserve it. ❤️
@@Lylah-bo9vp to be honest there is nth to be insecure about :( I know, it might sound shallow but I noticed one thing when I am insecure about sth that I have. For example, if you saw that a random girl on a beach had strawberry legs would you mind? Cause personally I wouldn't and she still would be pretty to me. The same goes with some extra weight or maybe when clothes don't fit as we wish they would and then it strikes me that I am so hard on myself. All the things that I might be insecure about I never and really never care when I see them on other girls. So please don't be insecure about some small red dots on legs :( its just a small thing and any normal and sane person won't care and if they do the are stupid tbh.
@@anomis77kiki "shaving off hair has helped prevent infestations of lice and other parasites" I said it's probably not hygienic to shave 6 times a year
@@Doofersmirtbody hair is there for a reason. It's okay to shave it, it's okay to not. It's not unhygienic to not shave. And I doubt many people are getting leg lice lmao
i don’t know if it’s just me, but every time i shave i have strawberry legs and there’s a bunch of patches of hair left. i shave EVERYWHERE on my legs.i have hair all over my body and there’s been no tips that help cleanse it out of my life. it could be the razor i’m using. Flamingo razor. edit: i know use a men’s razor and there is no hair left. thanks for the suggestions! edit 2: also not to be that type of annoying person or anything but this is the most amount of likes that i’ve ever gotten lol
@@featherghost1085 i recently just started doing this when i got more into taking care of myself and my body. it resulted in the strawberry legs. after shaving 3-4 days my strawberry legs have been gone. thanks! also i use cera be whole body lotion btw
You should exfoliate before shave by a physical exfoliator and check the razors if it's blunt or not. And then continue or incorporate an aha based body cream/lotion or a glycolic acid based solution. This must help. Do not forget to moisturize heavely. Be extra gentle where are joints and underarms.
Try cerave rough and bumpy skin cream. You'll need to be super consistent applying after every shower. May not go away completely but should help a bit
listen, as someone who used to have strawberry legs, you don’t need this many products. Just steam up your bathroom, that’s enough hydration your legs need. The shaving cream that did my legs wonders was EOS moisturizing shaving cream. immediately after my shower, while my legs are still damp, apply lotion to your legs. this locks moisture into your pores and makes your legs shine. also, don’t use lotion with fragrance, it inflamed your pores. my legs have been incredibly smooth for a couple of years now.
good for you...? this is an instructional video on what SHE does for her legs to feel smooth. the pads were for preventing ingrown hairs, exfoliating your skin is a necessity even if you're not shaving, other than that she literally only used stuff for her bathtub and conditioner instead of shaving cream.
Thank you for the advice! Def was overwhelmed with the amount of products. I am going to try exfoliating, Eos shaving cream, a 3-blade razor, and then lotion afterwards. Fingers crossed it works!
DO NOT add apple cider vinegar or any type of vinegar in your bath especially if you have problems in your Urinary track it will cause u way more problems and pain bc my sister had to go through that bc she did this , ALSO even if u don't have problems there's a possibility that it can cause you an infection in the urin track if u do this more than twice a month . I hope that helped :)
vinegar is great for getting rid of stubborn bacteria and smells, like dampening a cotton pad after a shower and wiping ur underarms for instance (be careful not to dry out the skin too much or you will overproduce oils in that area and only add to the problem. find a good scent free moisturiser for sensitive skin to add back hydration to the area, as well ur general body lotion). but the vagina it a bit acidic naturally anyway, about 3-5. apple cider vinegar is an acid, 2-3, so putting that in ur bath water, for your pum pum to sit in, is asking for trouble. you do not need to internally clean the vagina unless specifically instructed medically-do not put soaps or any lotions and potions in there. clean the vulva like you would any other body part, just be conscious of not getting soap inside and rinse well. if ur Ph is off, you need to fix that internally, like hydration, eating better, de-stressing bc stress majorly puts your vagina off balance, make sure u or ur partner has a clean hand or penis, drink sugar free cranberry juice, you may have a sperm or latex allergy, always pee after sex etc or you need to see a doctor/ go to a pharmacy for oral medication, a candida pessary, or medicinal creams (and only with advice or instruction). the vagina is supposed to have a smell & its a self-cleaning system. some people have more sensitive vaginas than others so before anyone says “i douche daily with apple cider vinegar and i’m fine” just remember that this is online, and an instructional video. they shouldn’t be ashamed but if they’re getting hygiene advice online instead of at home, then i’m sure lots of young girls would be too embarrassed to go to their mum and say, “i think i have a uti, please help me” because they saw a youtube short, and would suffer in silence. and honestly utis and bacterial vaginosis is too fucking uncomfortable to be messing about.
yes it is self cleaning and has a smell, but an off balanced PH is a disgusting smell that does need to be fixed, and not always can it keep up with everything including cleaning. keep that in mind
you should be exfoliating your skin no matter what idiot, like they said it helps with razor burn and gives you a closer shave. have fun w your dry ass dirty skin @@tigresita.
it's best not to exfoliate and shave/wax in the same session bc shaving/waxing counts as exfoliating! 💗 you're already moving a layer of skin by doing so, so it's best to exfoliate w/ a scrub consistently on days leading up to your shave/wax day AND post shaving/waxing to avoid any in-gowns 🥰✨
Thank you for making me feel normal for taking a shower after my bath. Every single time I take a good bath I finish it up with a shower and a good full-body scrub 😌 ❤
y'all remember you shouldnt exfoliate before/after shaving because shaving is already an exfoliation, you might not see damage now but you could in the future, especially if you have sensitive skin. If you have any concerns about what products to use PLEASE ask a dermatologist, and for strawberry legs i heard SA cleanser from CeraVe is a good choice.
the best treatment for strawberry legs is not shaving and leaving them legs alone. my skin is perfect when i don’t shave but then i get these red dots all over if i do, and i tried all kinds of ways to shave 💀
heres the thing- i dont have straberry legs i just have very pale translucent skin with thick black hair and u can see the hair in my leg under my skin so it looks like i have black dots all over my legs🥲
usually it's a combination of using a dull razor, not cleaning out the hairs enough, and not pressing down enough. that usually fixes it for me :) keep in note that you should never be pressing hard with tbe razor, just hard enough for it to get close enough to the bottom of the hair. be v careful w/ fresh razors bc they are new and can cut you easier !!
If you are quick this will work perfectly, put your shaved legs under cool water so you get goosebumps, quickly put a bit of conditioner on your leg for traction and shave again while you still have goosebumps. You'll get a super close shave
@@deemah3602 I've been doing it for decades without any problem, if you don't put watered-down conditioner or something similar and the skin is dry I could see an issue. Otherwise, its hard to grasp what you say because in practice it doesn't happen to me. Also blade quality is important I love Gilette Mach3
@@Angel-hb3ronot a normal shaving routine lol exfoliate (can use a scrub or just soap and loofah) shaving cream / conditioner shave and then lotion after. Don’t need all the extra steps unless you get keratosis pilaris after following the above routine. Especially in the bath. All those products like ACV is gonna throw off your ph down there and give u UTIs
@@KC-to1nswtf are you talking about apple cider vinegar is SCIENTIFICALLY known to balance out the funk. Even a gynecologist will say it’s fine and healthy. I’ve been doing it for years and it’s helped my skin and hair …. Please do some research before spreading false info. Drinking acv is even better for you. On that note, fragranced bubble bath and shit is NOT good for you, that shit will potentially throw off your ph. Using plain un scented epsom salt is the best thing for a bath. The bubbles aren’t doing shit for anyone lmao leave it alone.
@@KC-to1ns omg thanks for the information, i never had a problem with stinking, but then girl started talking about apple cider vinegar like it was a known secret ingredient girls use that I didn't know about, so I was gonna rush out to get it. Thanks again for the heads up, I would've messed up my already normal ph like a dummy JUST bc an influencer recommended it
honestly i just use sugar scrub to exfoliate before i shave and it works just fine for me. lotion after i get out of the shower too! you probably don’t need all of this but if you like it and it works for you then go ahead
are you calling the acv and bath soak unnecessary? bc she didn't mention them for the shaving so clearly they're unnecessary. other than that she used pads for ingrowns and thats literally it.
no sane person. i don’t, and i shave with just water (better for me than with any soap or cream or oil or whatever). and i get strawberry legs with prickles in some places. you’re lucky to have a good result with minimal effort
Yes it is are quite common when bathing with a ton of soap, and I definitely wouldn't recommend apple cider vinegar. Our ph is already how it's supposed to be, there's no rebalancing it with acv. 🙄
nah i shave them with water and just walk around with my half-prickly strawberry legs 💀 but yes to have the result like in the video you either have to be lucky or spend too much money and time
Been doing this for years, all over my body, every other day (this girl is hairy), and my skin is smooth like a baby. I use a hamam glove to exfoliate, and sometime a scrub, or even a brush. Every. Single. Time. I have a very slippery argan oil based ph neutral body wash, but I imagine conditioner would work just as well. No ingrown hair, no strawberry bumps, just smooth goodness. And mosturise well after shaving.
Be careful with the KP bump eraser body scrub - I was using that for awhile and it ended up clogging my shower drain pretty badly a few times before I realized that it was the culprit.
I was taught to never shave during a bath because hair stubbles can find their way inside of us and cause serious infections. My Grandmother taught me that.
My comment is just a word of advice, u can't be too careful when it comes to the health of your body. My Grandmother was a medical professional, she never steered me wrong. U either take the advice or u don't, the choice is yours and yours alone. Wisdom.
I splash a bit of water on my legs and shave. if i feel fancy I would add some soap. It would be great to have your kind of dedication for taking care of my body
I always exfoliate before shaving, in my culture we even have the most effective exfoliating method (moroccan hamam) but still every time i shave my legs I get those ingrowns hairs and scars so I decided to only wax them although it's hard and takes time 😢
hi im moroccan too! honestly i dont shave on the days where i exfoliate because my skin becomes too sensitive. i think im going to go back to using Nair because that’s the only method that doesnt give me ingrowns and scars - im too scared to try waxing hahaaa
I used to shave and exfoliate too. Exfoliation helped a lot but my hair is thick and struggled with ingrown hair. I switched to epilator and so far it is very satisfying.
all i do is shave with tree hut shaving oil, use a tree hut sugar scrub and let it sit for a couple of minutes, then i wash my whole body (which means my legs as well) with a soft liquid dove soap, and once i get out of the shower i moisturize and my legs are very soft and i do not have strawberry legs at all nor do i ever get ingrown hairs
I personaly tried exfoliating my skin before rasurating it, but i got no results, after a few days I got folliculitis on my legs and crotch, so I tried exfoliating after the shave last week, and omg, i got no folliculitis. So, that's my personal experience, I exfoliate with an scrub from OceanSkin in Argentina and its sooo good and gentle with your skin. I wish you luck!
I love the exfoliating and the cream at the end! Those are great tips! The acv DOES balance your body’s PH, is antibacterial, and softens hair but if you don’t like the smell, add a few drops of lavender essential oil. People can have an imbalanced PH level, either too alkaline or more likely, too acidic, from things like their diet, smoking, and consuming alcohol.
This looks so relaxing. Usually my legs are janky and unevenly shaved because I spent a minute and a half shaving in the shower when already late for work 🥴
I use a shower gel, then I use a body scrub with oil. For shaving you can use what works for you,I used hair mask for shaving and it's amazing,it's a garnier fructis drugstore hair mask, but I think others works as well, just you need 1 for really dry hair...after I shaved I use nivea Body Souffle and has already oil in it,so I don't need any extra step. Dove and nivea are great products. Of course depends what you have where you live, because I live in EU.
I had so many ingrowns and bumpy legs for a while and felt so self conscious so I decided to give kp bump easer a try and got the travel size. Omg it got rid of everything in like 3 days, the hype is real!
Exfoliate with cloth/mitt, shave with sharp razor+baby oil, apply body moisturizer. That’s how I do it and my legs dont have the red dots or bumps anymore, they’re smooth and clear.
Honestly all the tips really do work sooo wellll…. Haven’t used the pads and moisturizer though so I’ll have try that out I usually just use a coconut oil while I’m still damp at the end and I’m still at silky smooth but I’ll try yours instead 😅
If you shave your legs not every day and only when the hair is long enough, your legs will always look silky and flawless for this half a day. No extra care will make difference. It's because your skin has time to grow dead skin layer that protects new skin from damage. Scrubbing your legs before or after shaving is bad and harmful, because you either remove dead skin before shaving or hurt new skin, if you do it after shaving. Strawberry skin happens with those who have dark hairs and shave legs every day or too often. It happens because your skin can't produce dead skin layers so fast. If you have a lot of ingrown hair after shaving, no scrubbing, exfoliating and all other beautiful words won't help a lot, will be almost no difference. You have to put up with this fact and look for other way of removing hair. Some people say that sugar waxing works best for them. For me, any epilation causes more problems than solutions, so I shave legs which doesn't give me ingrown hair or rash

I noticed as soon as I started epilating and touch up shaving my once REALLY thick leg hair (shave twice a day due to it feeling like my legs were prickly if I didn’t) that it left me with insanely soft skin.
