I literally have 2 of these exact chairs…got them at a thrift shop or yard sale like 10 years ago…I started to paint the material, but did not like the way it felt…painting obviously isn’t for comfort and just for looks…but since I messed the material up on one of them I just put them away under my house, and recently remembered them…I’ve been a subscriber to your channel for awhile now, but have yet to actually reupholster anything yet! So, I want to reupholster these two chairs in a new fabric, but Im very nervous about ruining them…they are in great shape, they were a creamy white color, but they were/are old, dirty, and now one has fabric paint on it…I’d like to do a newer modern fabric to go with my couch I want to reupholster as well…figured Id start with the smaller project, and see how it goes…I don’t like paying money for something I can do myself or due to a tight budget, I literally became a shade-tree mechanic because I drive a 2013 Jeep and a mechanic ask for 5k just for replacing a oil filter housing and new valve cover gaskets…I literally start laughing, that’s a crazy amount of money, so me and RU-vid spent 300$ and I did all of it myself in 6 hours! I’ve done many other things to the Jeep after this and have saved myself well over 10k in labor fees, but it taught me something…I can literally do almost anything with RU-vid…I have become a amateur carpenter, and have build or restored almost everything in my house…upholstery is next on my list…so I’ve come to your channel for the help! I pray this goes well! I don’t want these chairs to be a total loss, they are beautiful, just need some TLC…thank you for the videos🫶🏼, and wish me luck!🤞🏼😬 and hopefully if I need help maybe, I could comment to ask for help?! I don’t know if you do that, but it would be so very much appreciated!…also I have a fainting couch I’d love to reupholster as well, got it off a lady for 40$…it’s in perfect condition, but again it a creamy white satin stripped material, it’s dirty, and I’d like to change the look up, hopefully I can do that piece as well! I’ll have to see if you have any videos for a fainting couch! Thanks again for the videos! And I’ll comment back with updates! And maybe questions! Have an amazing day!🙂
