How difficult it was to create even a short animated video in those days! Yet they delivered such beautiful pieces with tiny intricacies in their characters. That's commendable to their patience and dedication! Hats-off!
4:18 Fun Fact: The elf having all those nails in it's mouth replicates an old technique called "spitting tacks". Basically you'd keep the nails in your mouth, and you'd bring the magnet end of the hammer to one of the nails in your mouth, and you'd hammer that nail in. Not only did it make the process faster, but it was believed the spit would form a better binding of the material and the nail itself.
@@potato6312 nooook that's not how it works! There was weight, and there was surely a displacement every time the hammer went up. So we can safely assume there was some work done, according to physics😌
I don't think it was a mouse trap.. In the past there weren't frigos so cheese should stay in cool place like cellar to conserve it.. So it needs a cage to avoid mouse's bit.. The cage was simply a box to protect the cheese from mouse or mosquitos
I adored Christmas just for the wonderful cartoons. Jack frost, frosty the snowman, etc. I'm forever grateful for them allowing my imagination to flourish. My 3yr old twin grandsons are now loving watching this and the rest. Thank you.
Thank youuu so much for posting these old cartoons. Lots of good wishes to you ❤️. Watching these make my day truly.... After working whole day and watching these old cartoons is very relaxing and makes me feel very happy 🥺❤️
❤❤❤ why are this kind of cartoons no longer being shown on tv and cable? The likes of this cartoon are classic gems best for children and adults alike! This kind of cartoon has more values and humanity than the modern ones...so let these old classics rule the tube...

Wow, it's interesting how it reflects biblical truth. The good Samaritan. Prayer works the same way like the elves. Even though we pray to God in heaven and believe the LORD. Things work in our favor when where not looking. What we put out against others in kindness don't forget God sees and rewards those with blessings. Just because we can't see what God is doing, just like the elves doing their handy work when people are asleep doesn't mean God is doing nothing. Keep the faith! Love to all ❤️
i really got tears from my eyes..... such a heart touching cartoon.... my whole body and soul kneel for the legendary makers.... love you a lot.....love you love you love you
I was enjoying it and thinking I wish today's cartoons were as good as the old ones then I saw this 7:29 made me think even those days cartoons were not perfect
The cartoons made by Columbia/Screen Gems don’t get much mention these days, despite containing the early animation work of Art Davis and Emery Hawkins, both of whom would do more notable work at Warner’s. These early efforts, however, deserve to be seen.
Nothing beats the old cartoons.. I was born in 87 and even as a kid in the 90s they showed all these and it was amazing.. now it's all rubbish and kids just don't appreciate it because they have the Internet and playstations
