I love these kinds of Pages Of History segments that make me say "really? wow!" out loud. I had no idea the Valentine's story and production numbers were so insane.
What is even more insane is how many Covenanter tanks the British actually produced, yet none of them saw any live combat. Gosh, it would be nice to have that tank in the game...
@luftwaffle according to the British it is one of their cruiser type tanks, also known as The A13 Mark III, armed with the 2 pounder. They were commissioned in 1939 but they were not ready until the Battle of Dunkirk, and by 1943, they were considered two weakly armed and armored to face German tanks, so the production was scrapped for everything except the bridge layer variant of the tank. 1,771 were made and not a single one saw combat.
Hydraulics simulation is not in the game, so it makes no sense to add it for many vehicles. also only very few real life vehicles have emergency gear that operate faster than normal deployment. only nitrogen operated or explosive operated gear come to mind, and we don't have any such vehicles with those systems in game.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the yellow on prop tips for indicating the edge of the props for warning ground crews of the edges of the blades when running, not ID-ing in the air. While yes yellow was used on things like the 109, they tend to cover larger areas as those can be seen from a distance. You can't really see the tip of a spinning prop from a huge distance.
The Type 89 used to be the best, then they added the Dardo and nerfed it's Ammo and the ATGMs. Now it feels less unique than all the other German SPAAs. Oh yeah they nerfed the Type 87 ARV already.
An APHE shell consists of 4 main parts, internally. A movable inertial slug with a detonator, safety locking shutters, a fixed firing pin, and a time delay fuse and fuse magazine. (This is pretty general, as different shells have different construction, but this will give you a general idea.) The locking shutters remain closed until fired, and are usually held closed by a spring. Once fired, the centrifugal force of the shell spinning disengages the locking shutters, and places them into the armed position. Once the locking shutters are out of the way, the intertial slug is free to move upon a quick deceleration (like hitting a tank). Once this happens the slug moves out of the way and exposes the firing pin, the flash from the denotator travels into the chamber housing the pyrotechnic delay element, which then ignites the fuse magazine, and through an explosive train detonates the main charge (if all went well) inside of the tank.
Self Propelled Howitzers weren't meant to do any anti tank direct fire duties until a last ditch scenario. Most of the time, SPH are kept miles upon miles away from the front line infantry and tanks. When tanks are spotted, almost 100% of the time, SPH are sent scooting at top speed away from the deployment area. Only in last ditch scenarios which are extremely rare when an entire unit is encircles, SPH which are prized artillery units, are then cast into the cauldron to risk it all for survival by switching the artillery sight and collimeter for the direct fire sight which again, most artillery crew have zero experience and will have to take time to traverse a heavy barrel or depress it from a standard artillery elevation angle. Loading the ammunition now becomes more risky and also time consuming as the barrel is depressed to near 0 degrees from the horizontal. Rounds are heavy, and the projectiles have to be manually rammed into the breach which is a tiring process. All in all, SPH aren't meant to fight tanks in direct fire and usually are easy pickings for any tank out there, even the less advanced tanks.

no because gaijin has a different deal with Sony/Nintendo/etc and all purchases have to go through them (so they can add an extra percentage and get more profit) so gaijin can't make an in game marketplace
@@bradly2056 At this point of writing the IS-7 is going for around 1500 gaijin coin. Even if you did have access to the market place, I doubt you’d be insane enough to spend that much.
could you make removed vehicles tradeable on the marketplace? this way older players who don't care about these vehicles can get some extra income and newbies who want to be able to obtain the removed vehicles are able to get them
It's really fun to hear the story behind the Valentine. It's got decent mobility and great armour for it's size as well as a great armament. Angle that thing properly and you have a great assault tank!
let me check if i have this right.. the variable timed fuse triggers on the ground AND on atgm's in flight but not aircraft which are larger?.. and I shifted my research thinking it was gonna swat aircraft outta the sky

I'd say it'd be mid tier, around 4.7-5.7 FV-432/30 A british APC fielded by the Berlin Brigade in the 1980s, modified for a 30mm RARDEN cannon. I'd say this would go before the Warrior IFV. IK these may be not worthy for war thunder but I still wanna try ask.
2 suggestions, what if we could make our own ammo belts for fighters? Like if I wanted a .50 cal belt made up of AP-I/I-T/AP-T/I or I-T/T/I/I. Second what if we could adjust the firing pattern on planes? Like if we wanted all 6x 50 cals(P-51D) to converge at 500yds or if you want all 6 firing straight? While I'm at make our own load out? those painted spots on propeller are for ground crew.................................................. so you can spot where is tip of propeller when its spinning

I have a question... why does leopard 2a6 have so bad hull armor even though it is guessed way higher than it is in the game(Wikipedia) Is it because it would be too strong otherwise ? But the T80bvm also cant be penetrated by one shot if u shoot a random spot at the hull Or is there other documents that say something else?

they're designed to hit targets 15km away, not throwing boulders ilke those catapults in wot, the only think I'd consider is a berter optics system and not this stock sight

Sir, That's a radar. It's only good for detecting enemies in front of you and serves no purpose for low BR aircraft, since you can spot them automatically.

the Super Pershing has 101mm+36mm+36mm which means it should have 170mm of armour in total on the hull front but the King Tiger can penetrate that hull and not another King Tigers hull which is 150mm. Do German shells not bother with space / add on armour?
The Super Pershing's ufp is not 170mm because **structural steel** has a different modifier than cast armor. The total thickness is around 135.89mm give or take.
Germany has a notable lack of light tanks in the regular tech tree from BR 2.3 to BR 6.3. Can we expect something to fill that void? Maybe a rank three?
@@Kalashnikov413 Mostly I'd just like to see a vehicle or two in rank three so people can actually use them for challenge/battlepass/RP progression, even if they aren't terribly effective. That said there is still the regular version of the PZ 2 Luchs and a whole bunch of other 6 wheeled armored cars that could be added.
@@Kalashnikov413 Yup, we've got the 50mm armed one in game but the normal 20mm armed one would be a blast to play. Gaijin could also sprinkle a dutch armored car in as a premium if they wanted. They had 37mm bofors and Germany captured a handful of them.
No, and the reasoning I've seen from other people (not Gayjin themselves) is that people would spend more time test driving vehicles than actually playing the game. Which in my case, would be 100% true. Which is of course a marketing strategy as Gaijin just wants you to buy premium or buy GL so you can unlock those vehicles.
that SPH isn't unique irl. it's just unique becuase anton or who ever else in charge of putting tanks in game says so. give other nations their artilery tanks
The rooikat could reach an off road speed of 70km/h. The Ratel and Eland could reach an off road speed of 60km/h I manged to get this info from people who actually operated these vehicles. Something you surely never did.
Q: Hi I was wondering if you have ever thought about lowering the price for Tanks because if I want to get a top tier tank not only do I need to spend around a million SL on that but I also need to purchase all the tanks before it which adds up to around at least 3 million. Is there a way to set the default fuse for bombs to "assault" and when you change it for a plane it stays the same for this plane only without changing it for other planes ? And if it's not there can you make it happen ? It's really bothering when you forget to set the timer before going into battle CASing

There is the possibility with the ships of the blue water fleet to fire the torretrs individually instead of always shooting a complete salvo? Is there a key to change it?
Yep. Even if the shell carries no explosives, the propellant in the cartridge behind it will still detonate if hit. However, if the tank carries two piece ammunition with solid shot (Eg. Tortoise), then the shell itself won't detonate when hit
