Some inside hollywood tea: I worked for the creators of this movie over Christmas of last year. I was their assistant. This movie is their claim to fame. They mentioned multiple times on many occasions that they thought the movie should’ve won an Oscar. When I told people in Hollywood about the movie, they’d never heard of it. The movie is cute, but the people behind it treated me and my coworkers so badly, I had to move on from my job after four months and have permanent emotional trauma from it. So Merry Christmas, I guess 😂
Honestly, hearing that kinda puts into perspective why this movie was so lame. Definitely feels like a “thinks this is cool but has no idea what it’s missing” kind of movie
That’s hilarious. Since this movie was UNBEARABLE. Crazy how everyone in Hollywood smells their own farts. This was one of my least favorite movies of last year.
Somehow instead of knowing that I’m watching several guys who know this kinda obscure movie inside and out, I’m feeling like I’m on the wrong side of the Mandela effect and I *should* be knowing these songs but I don’t, and simultaneously like this movie isn’t actually real… What a bizarre and unsettling feeling! Great job gents lol
I worked on the movie and so glad you chose this Eric! I got to be on set on one of the days they shot ‘Magic Man G’ and you could easily tell how much fun Keegan and the dancers were having!
i never watched this because i couldn't get over the name of it jingle jangle being the same name as the main drug in riverdale, but the musical element makes me watch to rewatch the greatest showman with the commentary
I was disappointed that this wasn't a twerk along but then y'all delivered 😌 thank you for helping me get through a difficult Christmas, merry Christmas 🎅🏼🎄
My dad put this movie on to watch while my brothers and I ate dinner and halfway through the second musical number they ask my dad “are you serious” and left the room (without dessert because they left the family dinner table). Eventually my Mom complained enough that my Dad put on Elf and I finished it by myself later that night. Lol
I remember when they closed off Elm street in Norwich to film this (they used that road for a scene in Stardust too). It was the only street in the city that got snow that year, but you could watch them film from the upper window of Weatherspoons Glass House
I'm so glad y'all reacted to this! I loved this movie just for the vibes of a fun Christmas musical and it feels like no one has heard of it. Thank you for your enthusiasm!
I've never heard of this film in my entire life, but I guess I'm going to be investing in finding the film so I can add another Showman Track to my collection. Happy Belated Christmas to you guys!
Please watch the new Matilda this holidays. It was a double crier for me and has 3 little showman interludes throughout. One of the best musical adaptations to date, no one ever need watch Annie again.
I watched this movie the Christmas it came out and I haven’t thought about it once since- I cannot believe you were all 100% on board with stanning this movie
You guys give me the urge to find my favorite musicals, send them to you, just because I want to watch your reaction to them. You made this movie more fun to watch somehow!
What a perfect female Xmas gift :) My only wish in the new year is that, if y’all ever do a phantom of the opera sing/twerk along, is that it’s not only the movie version
This is one of those weird movies where the plot and writing and pacing is pretty underwhelming, but the actors somehow pull off the execution of it enough to make it watchable. Or at least more watchable than Hallmark Christmas films.
I watched it with my mom when it came out and it’s a damn shame that not many people I talked to knew about it. Ricky Martin as the toy was my fav but the costumes and choreography were amazing.
OMG I was so relieved to hear Myles! I was starting to think he wasn't part of the channel anymore. I am not on the Patreon so maybe he has been on those tracks but I hadn't seen one with him since PRE-COVID.
@@PrettyMuchIt Lol I feel like a schmuck! The only vids I don't watch are the ones about horror movies. In my mind the last vids with him are the ones with Kurtis and Dylan. It doesn't hurt that those are fucking AMAZING. I've rewatched the #Roxy one an insane amount of times. The jokes are too good.
I really hope the Showman learned that the choreography in this movie was so Greatest Showman-like because both movies had the same choreographer (shoutout Ashley Wallen)
i was wondering where i knew miles from! this channel! I've been seeing him in the guilty pleasures podcast and was like why are you so familiar to me?
