Mann I love your honesty, cause I did the same thing and switched from a 43x to x-macro and your 💯 % correct !! And you can shoot the crapp out that thing. !
I really appreciate that bud. It means a lot. I love Glocks and anyone who knows me knows glock and hk have always been my favorite plastics. But this 365 line, the macro in particular is just freaking amazing. How are you liking your x macro?
@@livennick9 Mann I’m loving it I add a 507k red dot on it , and a mag well on it and it shoots like a dream , a t-Rex arms sidecar holster and it’s my go to got about 1500 thru it ‘
Hi Nick, I wonder if you still own the xmacro tacops or does it ever get carried again after the rust issue. The xmacro is such a nice pistol, and we would love if you can shoot a follow up video on it. Thanks.
I am really enjoying my TACOPS. I am headed to the range to keep testing it. I have close to 500 rounds through mine, but with all the negative press Sig has been getting lately, I promised myself I would be doing a little bit more testing before I replace my 43X with it.
The tacops is an excellent pistol but after about a week and a half I had rust on mine once the humidity and high temps kicked in. I love shooting the tacops but have switched over to carrying the fn reflex.
@@livennick9 Hey, I was just wondering did you often oil the Tacops before the rust started coming in? And was this a week and a half after this video was posted? Just curious.
@@sienangene3423 yes sir. Most pistols I carry I wipe down completely till dry and clean. Then apply a thick coat of oil all over it and let it set and sink in to the pores of the metal for about 24 to 48 hours. After that I wipe down and oil once every week to two weeks. It’s hot and humid around this area so it’s very much needed. I did the same with the sig. Hope This helps bud.
@@livennick9 Yes, now I am in a dilemma. Jk. That's actually well oiled. I also wipe mine down with oil and wipe dry but I guess I'll maybe do it a bit more often if the rust started coming in only about a week and a half. This is one of the main issues I'm seeing with the XMacro's. Thanks for the info. This is also my first Sig, so....
@@sienangene3423 absolutely bud. That’s what I’m here for. I will say I have had zero issues with the shield plus so far in the past month and a half. It’s been 115+ heat index here with zero issues. I know it’s not the latest and greatest pistol but it’s definitely a dang good one.
Great video, I recently picked up the same gun and I agree it’s a do it all pistol! I’m curious, what holsters do you like for it and will you try an optic?
Right now I’m using the blackpoint for the original macro. Works great but I did replace the belt clip with one off a vedder holster. Works really good. Also a galco outside the waistband that I picked up made for the hellcat. Fits it very good too.
Hi Pez and Livenick. I just picked one of these up about 3 weeks ago. I absolutely love the gun. I have a Holosun EPS Carry on it. I was at another site and heard someone mention Tenicor Holsters. I picked up the Certum for the Tac Ops. It has belt clips that IMO are fantastic. There is no way if you have them connected to your belt that the gun will come with it when pulled out. In fact it can ba a little bit of a PITA to get off but well worth the piece of mind. I also found out about PHLSTER Wedges for your holster. I ordered a set of those and had enough to do 3 holsters with left over. What a difference the wedges make. I highly recommend them!! BTW GREAT SHOOTING!!
@@donniecamp7328 thank ya. That was 85 meters. I used to shoot 100 meters with the pistol out there but now I just shoot 85 unless it’s after hours and they are closed. The road in to the vip area is to the left of where I am shooting at that distance. The last couple times I would be back at 100 during open hours I had a couple cars come flying in while I was shooting and luckily was able to stop fast. The gate is at the 100 meter mark. They are supposed to stop and check first but nobody ever does. So for safety I just stick with 85 meters.
@@donniecamp7328 thank you bud. The sig 365 fuse is coming out soon too. Full size but thin. You may check that out too if you’re in to full size pistols. I’m not really but some are.
Thank you for putting together these videos. I have really enjoyed them. Question for ya, I’m wanting to purchase a sig Tacops but I have heard that people have been having issues with rust in their macros? Have you experienced that?
The tacops are excellent pistols but for whatever reason the first few batches that went out had finish issues. Mine did. I know a guy that has had one for about 4 months now with zero issues. You would think with the quality, shoot ability, and everything else that went in to it his pistol they would have put a better finish on it.
Great shooting, just got my tacops last week and took it for a test on Sunday, for some reason I’m shooting more accurately with my Glock 19, I know my sig is new and needs to be broken in, I am planning on using my sig as my carry piece.
Thank you bud. If you’re used to shooting the 19 it may take a few times to get the feel of the tacops honestly. The grip angle is a lot different and the trigger is definitely different. They are both excellent pistols.
I have the 23 gen 5 (slightly bad ergonomics imo and no accessories but I still shoot it extremely well. I find the recoil very comfortable and the moving parts and quality feel of the parts is 10/10) and the P365X macro. The normal 3.7” barrel. Its the same as the tacops just no magwell. I find the trigger and the ergonomics are 10/10 but the feel of the quality and the moving parts don’t feel as nice as the Glock. I wish I got the comp version. My wife has the P365XL Rose Comp, and I’d almost say the 30% reduced muzzle flip is somewhat modest. It almost feels like a solid 50%. Oh well. Guess I just have to be happy with the 7% increase in muzzle energy from the longer barrel 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I do find it kicks harder than the Glock despite the Glock being .40 S&W, and I shoot the Glock 23 better despite far preferring the grip angle on the Sig. My wife’s shoots like a .22 cuz of the comp. It really does make quite the substantial difference. Guess it’s cool to have options lol. And MAN is the 23 big and heavy compared to the Sig lol. Not sure if the 23 Gen 5 is at all thicker or heavier than whatever 19 you have, but they should be 99% identical in size and weight either way. I KNOW you are happy about that lol. Also, nice redneck heaven ;( wish I had a redneck heaven…
Hi from South Africa, enjoy your vids, I’ve just purchased this gun. Are you still carrying this as your go to edc and what holster have you found is best. Did you find the macro compensator helped recoil control vs this full length barrel or is not really noticeable?. Tx
Thanks for watching bud. I normally use vedder holsters light tuck. Or galco combat master leather owb holsters. They are both great. As far as the comp vs regular I honestly couldn’t tell a difference. Some say they can but I will tell you one thing, the comp version is a lot louder and more pressure you can feel in your face from each shot. I personally like the non-comp version because of that plus you got a bit more velocity out of the longer barrel. Hope this helps bud.
If they ever get the rust issue figured out I’ll be getting one. For almost $800 bucks there shouldn’t be any issue and Definitely not a shitty finish. Glocks don’t have this issue and they cost almost half as much. I held one of these tacops at the gun shop and it felt better than any other gun I’ve ever felt so hopefully they fix the finish.
I’ve EDC my Tacops for probably six months or so. I carry in a Kydex holster living in a very hot humid area heat index was 106 today. I have no rust or finish wear at all looks like the day I got it. It’s carried at least 12 hours a day.
Nothing wrong with the finish. Not on mine anyways. Even if there was. Glock fan bois spend hundreds of extra dollars to get that perfection. What's cerakote, wrong spelling cost. Way less I'm sure.
@@DS..69 Yeah it's more of a consistency issue. Some are fine, others are not. Both Sigs and Glocks are great guns, but Glock seems to be much better at releasing guns that don't fire on their own or rust. Once Sig figures out their quality control, I'll gladly be buying one.
I have the p365x macro non-comp I think it's the bass version I paid 650 and plus I have the p365 XL I paid 599 for that both guns are awesome I keep seeing here and there that people is getting rust or has gotten rust in the past I live in Dayton Ohio we have bad humidity in the summer months never seen no rust on either one of my guns I can't be happier but you're not going to please everybody I know
Yeah, I was gonna make one MACRO my carry & one my HD since "two is one"...but in the end, I just can't quit the CR920 (even though, at 620rds, I still don't fully trust it despite being 100%, since my first one had issues). I'm putting a PSA MICRO DAGGER slide on a 43X MOS frame to test that out--at 15+1, it'll be HD. But for carry, I switch between the CR920 and a tricked out LCP MAX ELITE (w/ 13rds of 380 FMJ). I'm in Florida though, and it's 90-100 degrees most of the year, so the MACRO was just a hair too long for me. I like this guy's idea to put a 365 slide on a MACRO grip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yh43BWFGZlc.html
You are very welcome bro. You have me wanting this gun. Carry a 43X, after watching your vids on this one, I’m going to put this one in rotation. Thank you for this
@@a.d.c7941 I absolutely love the 43x. I carried it for a long while before switching back to the 19. Then after running some rounds through this I decided just to stop rotation and only carry this. I don’t plan on getting rid of anything but for now I’m only carrying this. Thanks for watching and subing brother. It’s very much appreciated
@@livennick9 u r most welcome bro, and after watching your vids on this one, I have a feeling my 43X may seem some extended safe time 😂😂😂. Thanks again bro and I look forward to watching more of your vids. Me and the lady are glad we found your channel.
How are you keeping your group so tight? I know you have skill, but I have the same variant, and every few rounds it decides to be way off (6-9 inches), could it be the cheaper practice rounds I’m using, what ammo do you choose for accuracy?
I was still in love with my old trusty G23 after 20+ years but this macro tac ops is just a sweet shooter and feels good in my hand. Last year I switched to the 365X and once I find a decent holster I’ll be carrying the Macro. What holster are you using?
Right now I’m carrying a blackpoint Tactical off of sigs website for the macro. I have a muddy river tactical coming today that I will probably switch over to judging from the other MRT I have.
Thank you for the reply. I ordered a Teni or Certum for mine, hopefully I like it as I’ve never had a Tenicor product before. If you have the time, a vid of your thoughts on the MRT holster would be greatly appreciated. Have a great weekend.
@@1AbominAble1 man I would definitely do a video on the mrt but I actually just sold it to a buddy of mine. It was for a macro with tlr7 sub and dot cut. It had a ton of slop in it for whatever reason. My buddy put his 365xl in it and it fit like a glove so he bought it. I was going to send it back but he loved it so he bought it from me. It locked in perfect on his xl. Who knows. May try a different company next time. I always used to use vedder but qc went to crap. May have to see if it’s better now.
Thank you for the heads up. I’m looking forward to more support for the Macro from holster makers in the future, I think this thing is the gun to beat for the foreseeable future. Maybe I’ll get lucky with the Certum but having more options than I can find now would be nice. I wouldn’t mind an OWB from Safariland! I’d try that out in place of the old G19X on the belt set up. Great chatting with ya, have a great weekend.
This is the best gun site. Love the channel. Cause i fish as much as i shoot. Love Shimano reel and rods. I have the Sig P365 X Macro comp. Think i might sell it and get the tacops for the longer barrel. I shot it the other day and was more accurate with it than my comp. Barrel length is 3.1 on the comp and 3.7 on the tacops. Seems to make a difference or i just got lucky.
Heck yah man. That’s awesome. Welcome to the channel. I like the tacops better than the comp version too. I can’t notice any difference in muzzle rise or recoil between the two. I think the comp version looks better though.
@@livennick9 thanks man, there is also the regular model for $100 less than the Tacops and just don’t have the flared mag well and comes with 2 mags. That seems to be a option also. I have the comp and it should sell for a good amount, only has 600 rounds through it.
@@livennick9 also wanted to share with you i have 8 Shimano Expride rods and 8-9 Shimano new reels. I have the Met and the chronarch’s. They fish like a dream. Love Shimano products.
@@jasonallen3189 heck yah man. Shimano is definitely where it’s at. I love their reels. I havent fished but one of their rods but definitely love their reels. In my opinion they are the best reel on the market. I have a video on here from a few years back I was at a pond using my tfo ultralight with 4lb flouro and a shimano vanford 2000 reel and caught a 7.25 pound largemouth on that setup. I truly believe the only way I was able to land that fish was shimano smooth drag syestem. It was awesome with ultralight gear
@@livennick9 that’s awesome. Yeah without a good drag system you would have more than likely broken that fish off on 4lbs line. The Vanford is an amazing reel. Catching any fish on ultralight setup’s is fun but a fish that large must have made it seem like a 40lbs catfish on a normal rod. It had to feel heavy. I saw in your video you took off the flared mag well on the sig. that’s what got me thinking well heck i can save $100 and just get the regular Xmacro, cause that’s what it is it’s the tacops minus the bottom flare and comes with 2 less clips for $649. I watched your other video and you would not walk away from Glock reliably if this Sig didn’t impress you. That video is what made me trust Sig, cause before that i had 4 Glocks and only really liked them for their reliability and were easy to clean. They never felt great nor bad in my hand. But the Xmacro feels great and so far seems to eat any ammo i throw at it. I am impressed with your shooting and honesty. Some video’s on guns are to biased and just want to push product it feels like or bash a company for clicks. I could tell right away you were a honest and pure outdoor channel. Thats much appreciated these days sir.
I just bought the 365 Tacops for $695. Came with 4 mags and now Sig is giving 3 free additional mags with it for a total of 7. What is the size of the tool for removing the grip mag well?
Hows everything been holding up so far? Deciding between this and a glock 19, only thing holding me back from this is all the people complaining about rust
It’s an excellent pistol except for the finish. I did have some rust issues so I started carrying the m&p shield plus and my glock 17 while I fish and ride. Zero issues out of either one of those.
@@SenorDuri yes it is. It’ll be a nice winter carry option though. Here in Arkansas we have a lot of 90-110 degree days with 90-100% humidity so it’s kind of out for me as far as carry in the summer. It is definitely a great pistol though. I just with they would make a finish as good as their pistol.
You’re definitely right man. It has a good pull but there is so much sticking and dragging between the wall and the break. One of my favorite triggers on small compacts are the new shield plus triggers, especially the performance center.
I dont like the sig line up .right now im back and fourth between my 48mos with liberty ammo 50 grain going at 2,200 feet per sec and they weigh nothing I carry a 15 and 20 round backup.
