In this video I want to illuminate the background and the design of one of the most accurate service pistols ever buildt.
Special thanks to Waffen Will und Apel (Bochum, Germany), Martin Schmieg, Feine Jagdwaffen and World of guns - gun disassembly (steam).

Fantastic video. Sig Inc. has done a wonderful job on the P210 American. It’s a favorite pistol of mine. I can give to a new shooter and they make good shots. Anyone who shoots it wants one. It’s more of a clone of the German target 210.

I just got the US made p210 and couldn't be happier. It may not be an original, but it is significantly cheaper

🙂 wow, hätte nicht gedacht, dass ein echter SIG Büchsenmacher das jemals anschaut. Welche Schritte hast Du denn gebaut?🙂 Bin überrascht, dass Du unter der englischen Ausführung schreibst.😯

the 1935A this gun was modeled from can be modified to reliably shoot 32acp by cutting back the slide spring a few loops. I did so and it is an absolute nail driver.

Thanks for your infos. Doesn' t the barrel or magazine need any midifications/replacements? How many turns does your mainspring still have?

@@elmsfeuer the bullet diameter matches up and the magazine will actually feed them. I was advised by a gunsmith actually. He said start with two turns, shoot it. The issue is 32acp have less recoil. Aside from being a little shorter they're the same size bullet. So basically you'll keep trying it until it cycles reliably, whatever box of rounds you're using. Then I would take another ring off to account for a limp wrist or imperfect posture, or different brand bullet. If I had the gun still I'd do a count for you but she was stolen. I wish I could find another for sale, my grandfather left me that gun. And like I said, once I modified the slide spring boy it shot great. Plus, two points here. Most .32 are derringers. Not long barrels. So with the 1935A it actually has a decent velocity and ballistics. Second, since 32acp IS a lighter round, the recoil is less and the lighter spring makes everything so butter smooth you can hold still during rounds, almost as if it were a .22 target pistol!
