So we have "Stories of Dota" and now we need... "Legends of League"

Behind The (Summoner's) Rift sounds like a cool League of Legends version.

Baumi is 100% right. Stories from the Rift does feel like lore, and doing a sister channel lore content would be a neat one

I used to play Dota for a long time and during warcraft times we used to call it Dot A (like, Dot and a A) because of the way it was written with a Capital A.

The talk of Dota as a brand reminded me of the crowd reaction to Artifact's announcement. There were other factors that influenced the reaction, like the fact it was at TI and people were expecting something different, but people like Dota as just a game. Another thing worth considering is the design of dota as a game. Sure, there are events every now and then, but it doesn't have a constant battle pass like other f2p online games, the season rank-resets are inconsistent and infrequent, the closest thing to "daily quests" are the guild things, you're not really encouraged by the game to play constantly. I appreciate that about dota, it feels respectful, but it also means that people are encouraged to just play it as a passtime and not a hobby. Dota also isn't great at attracting new viewers, the characters aren't nearly as "sexy" as what you'll find in more popular games on youtube/twitch, and it's a complex slow-paced top-down strategy game that people aren't going to understand at a glance. The people interested in Dota are largely the people that like the mechanics, and it's hard to market mechanics.

Runeterra is the world and has 3 continents Valoran, Shurima and Camavoran. Rift is the arena where the game take places. Also Legends of Runeterra and its contents are canon if I'm not mistaken. So technically Stories of Runeterra is viable cause if we are talking about champion lores you'll be scratching LoR contents too for reference, hints and easter eggs. LoL lore and all of the games they release that is from the same IP are all connected together.

I know that at the end of each season in LOL some years ago they were giving free personalised jackets to top10 in the bracket and gifts like that. Idk if this is happening in Dota, but small things like that might be good

Well Dota is an acronym for Defense of the Ancients, so it only makes sense to use League of Legend's acronym as well. Stories of LoL

I like stories of runeterra because its what the world is called and stories of the rift while sounds good there are plenty of other games that call things the rift or some variation

one good name for it could be "Tales from the Rift" hence the map is called summoners rift in league

The league thing, The best guy I can think of for storytelling and does league content would be Rav... but he is currently preoccupied with world of warcraft

League of legends will have the problem of not having mod support. So you can't recreate previous ability effects and need to find old footage for everything you want to showcase.

Come on baumi dota is defence of the ancient. Even meepo has a line where he says " defence your ancient, its kindda the name of the game." So....

To the point of stories of league ,the main problem that I see with having same structure as with stories of dota changes are slow and u can cover what effects it has on main tournament .And if you would only cover design and main changes Vars already made lots of videos about that. Also there is small issue of only 20 % champs are played on worlds. Dont want u to discouragu but just poiting out some challenges that u might have encounter.

I'm gonna disagree with that, Dota 2 is Defence of the Ancient lore wise speaking...and not just because it's the successor to DotA

I agree with the Dota game vs brand idea Baumi brought up. I don't play Dota that much anymore but I still watch content about it. I think the world of Dota is very interesting and ripe with potential but Valve isn't creating anything more than just more cosmetics. Never expanding on what they already have. The same thing is with tf2. I play it more but there is nothing outside of the game itself. In short, Valve makes amazing games that have huge player bases, including the half life/portal games. BUT what Valve struggles with is making a franchise that, as Baumi said, has any cultural impact.

You know what baumi After you just released the PA video and you mentioning Dragons blood It just rekindled my hate for that show The anime should had been for PA PA has one of the most interesting lore out there Plus her lore doesn't involve that much characters Its simply a story of wanting more only to loose what you already had So my core takeaway for this is tha If ever someone makes a time machine Tell Gaben to make an anime about PA instead of dragons blood
