I'm also a medic, general surgeon, i spend of time at work. Truly inspired by you !! This podcast was amazing. Im jealous you got to get into calisthenics at the age of 14, started when I was 32, it's tough man... But anyhow, absolutely love doing it, love seeing the results. The part on deloading hit me hard... Really really really inspired by you and Daniel !!!! PS : Daniel, Yaad is there a way to contact you, have a couple question I'd love to ask.

Lever mvmnts progression time is more dependent on height while vertical mvmnts depend less on less on height, to a degree. build up a foundation bent arm strength Progress with a harder progression then easier ex. Advance tuck, few sets next tuck planche the more less challangeing set,less inflammation may help in skill training .insightful 🤔👏

I so appreciate how self-amped he is about his workouts. And he said that's what he contributes the longevity of his passion to. Being able to say hell yeah today I'm going to try for X-- whatever that is-- or hell yeah I just did X... It's been so important for my overall sense of discipline and esteem as well, to see that fuel my progress in calisthenics. Cheers 🩵✌️

hello everyone, I am doing the upper lower spilt 2 times a week. Every exercise 3x10/12 First upper day: - banded dips - Inverted row - Side to side pushup - Negative pull ups - Chin up - Lateral raise - Boat holds - Hanging knee raise - Scapula pull up Second upper day - Negative dips - Inverted row - Decline push up - Pull up banded - Tricep extension - Lateral Raise with bands - Plank - Hanging knee raise - Scapula pull up Is this to much or okay to do. I have 1,5 year gym experience but i struggle with those movements a lot. I started 2 weeks ago with calisthenics.

In the video you mentioned that counting seconds during isometrics is a rookie sin: Why is it a mistake and what is the alternative?
@two8252
@two8252 4 месяца назад
What I got from that section is that it's counting in your head vs. using an actual timer. And so you think you've held a position for 20 seconds, but it's really only been 14, for example.

I'm curious to know about taller and older people would do in Calisthenics. I have a 10+ years in weightlifting and powerlifting. Just started doing calisthenics last year. At this moment I can do one legged front lever for about 6-8 secs (per leg). Currently in a straight arm frog stance holding for about an average (12sec). Being 6'1" (185cm) and weighing about 185lbs(84kg). Currently 31 years old. Am I still at odds from hitting full planche or even the maltese? My end goal is to hit a 5 sec floor maltese, but is it likely given that I am passionate and dedicated to do it.
@Luuky97
@Luuky97 Год назад
I'd say you're well on your way and should shoot for the stars. I'm 6'2/188cm and I've been working on the FL for nearly two years, and I still haven't managed an unassisted hold. Your experience in powerlifting definitely provided a great foundation. I'd say, aim big and keep on working consistently, and that planche/maltese will be yours in due time!

Please put some soul and desire when you create your videos. Give a little energy and life to your voice, smile, and energize a bit. Give us not only good information but also good vibes. Learn how to speak.. more energetic and live, and have some intonations. You speak so even, with zero intonations. Thanks for all the rest, but with this bored voice... as if you don't like what you do but you are forced with a gun on your forehead. Thanks for the great info as always.
