Neither on PS2. When i was a kid, i had to tell my dad to order the Simpsons Hit and Run game since i completed the Simpsons video game and didn't get the open world😢
@@BlackPuma124 I think they're mostly identical, besides missing sound effects on PSP and some cutscenes missing. Particularly at the start of Medal of Homer.
I always used to do this as a kid. I even locked the partner cpu in jail and sometimes they were actually stuck there even when I went to other places. This was a really good game.
These are probably the best 3D models I've ever seen of the Simpsons, or overall of Groening's art style imo Others I've seen look like dolls with goofy mouths & vacant expressions
How you can tell we were at an end of an era for Simpsons, this was the final insanely well crafted Simpsons game, they even made the handheld version a 2d platformer cause they were parodying all the franchise license games only doing 2d platforming games on handheld consoles.
Oh man, I remember my brother's friend let us borrow this game, and I spent a whole week playing this game non-stop, most fun I had with a game in a long time at that point. One of the days I played, we got a really bad thunderstorm and a huge tornado. It was scary, but now I always associate the Simpsons game with things like that, haha. XD
The magic of this game on every platform and in all forms... •On PS2 (PlayStation 2), which I am sure most explore it here, the game is a Compilation of Humor and Action and it doesn't have the OW but it's incredible. Also, it works very well as a Platform Game and a little bit excluding the concept of 'Open World' and 'Exploration'. Anyway, it's a Classic on PS. •On the same line of PS Consoles and Sony Consoles, on PS3 (PlayStation 3) (the next Big Console and Proyect of Sony) the game includes the OW and has integrated any other stuffs. It's quite amazing the way in which they represented The Simpson's World, and the multiple forms of playing. •For Xbox 360 the game was really good. The Open World was maintained and was able to adapt to the circumstance. Well, well. •On Nintendo DS Version it was a 2D Platform Game Of The Simpson Family, but for the times it was good. It isn't the Best Version for obvious motives but it was OK. •The last Console, Wii, didn't have the OW integrated for the game either. Although, it was enjoyable if you wanted to play it somehow and it would be like a PS2 Version for Mario's Console. Finally, it is The Best Simpsons Game. The Animation and Graphics, the History, the Plots, the Platform Levels, the Mini-Games, the Powers, the Iconic Abilities and Moments, the Narration, the Representation of the Chapters Of The Series and the main thing... The Open World that shines and allows you to do whatever you want while exploring all of Springfield in detail.
I wish I got to finish this video game. Used to play it on my uncle’s PS3 and eventually got to the level where it’s like a dance battle with God or something, I don’t remember clearly. Eventually the PS3 died and we tried fixing it but it was no use. Such a fun game.
@@Cooke125 I don't think that thay will remaster the Simpsons hit and run it would be awesome if thay did but it would probably be only albe on xbox one and ps4 and 5
This game was fucking weird. I remember when it came out,I was kind of lukewarm about it,the commercials and trailers didn’t seem appealing to me. For some reason my mom insisted on buying it for me for Christmas even after I told her I would rather have a different game. Nonetheless she gifted it anyways and it one of my favorites now lol
I had no idea the PS3 version of this game has an open world mechanic to it. I played the demo so many times as a kid all those years ago. Now that I'm seeing this, it makes me wanna buy it and play through it. What's also amazing is that each version of the game has different box art which i thought was really unique for a video game alone. I'm also seeing another comment that says some versions like the Wii don't have the open world. Now I'm wondering how different all the ports of the game are. All really cool stuff
I used to do that too as a kid. I also tried to lock one of the main characters whilst playing as the other and going away from the Police Station trying to leave them there
They seriously need to consider bringing like a collection of every console version to new gen and pc, third person games like this were loads of fun in the ps2/ps3 era before fps took over
