Literally every clip I’ve seen it’s always beat in the last 3-4sec I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees how you had to be near perfect with this mission
I'll never forget finally beating this game a week after my 10th birthday. I remember because a few days prior to my birthday I was in a car accident on the last day of 4th grade - on the way to school, and had a cut in my forehead glued shut at the hospital. The glue finally fell off the day I beat the game. Early June of 2007. I'll never forget how frustrating the difficulty spikes were in Hit & Run, and how great it felt when I finally won. I was a massive Simpsons fan when I was a kid and started asking for the season sets for birthday and christmas gifts after getting season 2 with birthday money on my ninth birthday a year prior. Simpsons Road Rage was actually my entry point to the franchise as a whole around 2004-2005. RIP Radical Entertainment. Thanks for the memories.
I got this game for my 8th birthday in 2003. Just like you I had every season set on dvd as a kid. It took time tho cause one season set ran about 40 bucks. Eventually by like 8th grade I had seasons 1-9 tho
Yeah, I haven’t played this game in years just because I couldn’t finish this mission. I just rebought the game for PS2 and I’m really hoping I can finish it this time.
2:58 The most stressful thing in existence for EVERYONE is that timer. Especially at the very end, you get that wave of accomplishment and astonishment that makes your heart stop for a second, trying to process what just happened
@@9rumpole The game was scripted to give you a fixed timer of 30 seconds once you lost the alien car. That's why some people deliberately let the car stick to them until they get a bit closer to the school.
So after 15 odd years since I last tried to repeatedly complete this final mission aged around 8, I can finally say I have completed it. Definitely worth the wait!
I came here just after finishing the game for the first time! I bought this game back in mid 2005 and only my father made it to the end, so it's not until now that I decided to play it and finish it. So happy to have gotten to see this cutscene for the first time!
I honestly think it’s impossible if you don’t use atleast a few of the short cuts! I think losing the chase car so quickly was what made it so close for me!
@@9rumpole that's the trick, you have to let that car follow you for a while so you have more time to get to the school Just yesterday I finished the game again in my phone and I completed this mission after 3 or 4 tries
@@alanmathias6706 "set to kill" was really annoying to me, it has a rather tight timer and trying to drive through Squidport quickly (which you have to do twice) without getting a Hit & Run is really difficult.
@@1mariomaniac There's a really handy shortcut you can take when driving back to Krustylu Studios to save a lot of time. Use the ramp next to the lighthouse to drive into the ship's lower deck and reset your car when you collide into the wall. It will respawn you right next to the road that leads straight to the studio. You'll save a good 10-15 seconds this way.
This mission took me 892849177949412894797 tries to beat it, it is impossible. Especially when you have to drive the nuclear waste to the school, it's impossible to keep the hit and run meter low and in one of the tries i was almost there to the school and i crashed the car on the baseball fence. I broke one of my ps2 controllers and i screamed in rage. But after a whole year of tries, i finally beated the mission.
still till this day, i didn’t pass this mission! i remember countless times trying and one day i got so pissed, i gave up. i stlll have it but it’s scratched :(
This mission really tests your map knowledge. If you use all available shortcuts and (optionally) let the alien car chase you for a while to stall the timer, you'll build enough of a buffer to deliver the nuclear waste in time.
i remember beating this mission at age 7 and i’m coming back to complete the game again, i’m questioning how i did it. i remember it not taking too long.
I'm furious. I got to the spaceship with time left, broke through the glass and in the air - and it did NOT give me extra time! It timed out and I had to restart the mission, AGAIN. You got an extra 14 seconds!
With dedication. But i think i may have beaten this when i was younger... but its been so long that i dont remember. It was a fun PC game back then for sure!
Its definitely not easy even with the short cuts... you have to have a near perfect run really. I think I used most of them! Although they come with their own risk of blowing yourself up
There are 2 short cuts that you missed, slowing down and turning left at 2:55 into that park is a short cut that leads you to the Kwik e mart, there is a road to the right of the Kwik e mart 3:04 and at the end of it, there is a fire truck with a ramp on it that launches you over houses that saves a ton of time.
I remember I axidenrly stepped on my memory card and I was on the last mission off this chapter I LITERLY got my ps2 and threw it out the window and I never looked back untill now
@@HigherKnowledgeArts in my language exploding is translate as "explotar" which sounds much more similar to "exploiting" even known they have different meaning. I wrote the comment fast and didn't check. If you know any other language apart from English you will understand these things can happen sometimes.
