they really meant it when the episode started with a warning that it's very vile that even Game of thrones episode is calmer than this. I was genuinely surprised holy crap
To be fair, it's difficult to take self-cannabalism seriously when it's done as unrealistically as in that segment. Not only does Homer somehow not cause himself any injury when cutting off his body parts, he literally slowly becomes nothing but a talking head and he's somehow okay outside of just having no limbs. Plus Marge's response to her husband eating himself is to take him to an addiction therapist (who then blames it on Marge's cooking) which is just so silly that breaks the ick vibes. Overall it skips most of the actual ick of self-cannibalism, and goes for a full cartoon depiction, so it's honestly not that bad. Its only really squeamish if you relate it to real life too much in your head. It honestly could've been portrayed a LOT more horrifyingly if they really were trying to make it disgusting.
is it just me or is the audio for Homers voice a bit weird, he sounds like a higher pitched voice of grandpa simpson? and yes I know the Dan (last name here) does the voice for both.
