My favourite part of this episode is when Bart's all but given up on finding the lemon tree. "This whole thing has been as useless as that yellow, lemon-shaped rock over there... Wait a minute, there's a lemon behind that rock!"

This was one of those episodes that really resonated with me as a kid, I love how accessible Simpsons was to both kids and adults, even if a few episodes went over our stupid children brains

I always liked the different comparisons... -Apu at Kwik-E-Mart, the other Apu like guy at Speedy Mart -Moe at Moe's Tavern, Joe at Joe's Tavern -Groundskeeper Willie at Springfield Elementary, female groundskeeper (who someone told me was named Wilma) at Shelbyville Elementary Then of course you have Bart & Milhouse of Springfield & then the kid I call Anti-Bart & the other Milhouse of Shelbyville.

I love how Milhouse gets hurt from going slower than bart while bart just keeps running and running at a pace that would get him scratches on the knees.

This is low-key my favourite episode. ‘Team Discovery Channel!’

I always believed Springfield is located in the midwest, south of north and south Dakota.This is because: -Places like california and new york are shown very far away. -When they go south of springfield, they reach very deep south looking places which implies they must live somewhere north of Louisiana, Texas, and the other southern states. -The lemon tree would need to grow somewhere warm to be edible, so must be much farther south then in somewhere like Vermont, Oregon, Rhode island. -In springfield the weather is most often bright and sunny, with many characters wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts all year round, so climate must be much more like south of us then in north. -There are places like Springfield gorge, or mount springfield, which shows it must be north of the deep south where the land is very flat, and because when they go on vacation you see very midwest looking places. -When the crossover episode with family guy happened, we know that the family from family guy went far south from Rhode island, and also west. -It’s got a very inland look with lots of plains, farmland, forest, and even desert or scrubland. -Jebediah Springfield is a very clearly american west explorer, and since it’s also mentioned he hunted bison where he founded the town, it must be somewhere east of the sierras and california/oregon, north of Texas.

With that you build a lemon monopoly and rule the lemon trade with an iron fist. If anyone challenges you you will now have enough lemons to chase off even the most stuborn of grade schoolers
