When Lauren sings "So anyone can hurt me - and they do" there is so much emotion and hurt in her eyes that each time I watch this, it nearly breaks my heart. She was brilliant in this, but I think, so was Steph. I just thought Lauren got the emotion better through in this song, but that might only be me, as Lauren was my favourite.

I have to say - i think Lauren is incrediable to have given a consistently good performance every single week. I think she deserves to win now as she has had a difficult journey through the competition due to small minded people who think that a few seconds VT footage denotes a whole personlaity. Her voice, acting and dancing are amazing and this was performed with so much feeling and her voice has brought joy to millions - me being one of them.

Lauren is really really good. Someone posted a video of her singing Kelly Clarkson's Beautiful Disaster in her own style. It was also very powerful and controlled.

I think this was the closest decision of the series, I genuinly had no clue who was going to go through! Lauren's facial expressions make me really sad =[ She looks so defeated and I'm so glad she got through, just to keep her confidence up. Although I adored Steph too... [/ramble]

Well, of course you can have whatever opinion you want, but honestly, watch her performance of "The man that got away", "Sway", "Being alive" and "Heaven" right after another and you will find that her expression changes completely. I - personally - really love her, I think she'll go on to become something bigger even than Dorothy...

Seeing this again for the first time in years. Steph really was outstanding. As talented as Lauren was, she was upstaged in this - her 'acting' consisted of looking sulky all the through and lacked real depth - but she was always going to be saved.

I wasn't a massive fan of Lauren, but both the girls sound INCREDIBLE here. I'm a emo-metal-rock kinda guy, but I love this song.

But although the Public votes, it's Andrew who makes the decision here and whether or not the public likes Lauren is completely beside the point, Andrew clearly thought that she was better than Steph or he wouldn't have chosen her (and NO, I don't have anything against Steph, I think she is a very talented and beautiful young woman, I have bought her album and watched her live!) and that's what this competition's about: who is the better singer/actress/Dorothy, not who we like best.

@riftintimeandspace I agree. Lauren is my ultimate favourite because I'd actually pay to see her in a show. Steph will go far... there are so many roles she'd be great in. I've thought for weeks now that Danielle will win... however, Sophie seems to have some militant support. I'd lose all faith in the British public if they went with Sophie... she isn't quite leading lady material yet. Oh.. and yes best sing off.

Sophie and Danielle shout have been in the sing-off, Sophie started well, but during the songs her voice sounds so shrill. And Danielle, she gave a lot of good performances but the one of this week ... she messed up the song completely. It is such a beautiful song ...

Personally, I believe more in Stephs performance than Lauren. I really dont like either, they are both professionally trained and dont have the naivety to play Dorothy. Oh apologies I thought Lauren had been in 3 and Steph 2.

@marcusgael I'm with you 100% there,Marcus,singers as good as Lauren are very rare,you must have that confidence to go all the way in showbusiness,it's a hard world to crack! I don't favour very many singers but as soon as i heard Lauren i was blown away,this girl is something special! If she doesn't win then there is no point to the contest,surely they are looking for the best,but the good old British public will probably go for the underdog as usual and deprive the best of winning!

@marcusgael The British public are mad!,Lauren is fantastic,she is made for the part,awesome voice and a great actress,sadly what you say is true about negative criticism,i fear that Danielle is going to win,the judges think she's marvellous,it will be a travesty if Lauren loses because of this!

@marcusgael What a total travesty!,but i just knew they would do this,get rid of the fantastic Lauren so that the weaker Sophie was up against the judges favourite,from there it was a foregone conclusion,i still don't believe that the British public are so dumb as not to see the real star here,mind you,i'm sure Lauren will go on to be a huge star,she will still be there years after Danielle has gone into obscurity! I know who i'd rather pay to see!
